' I can tell you I live and breathe for a solid PvP experience nowadays.  Content, no matter how good it is, eventually runs out, and you want to do something with all that sweet gear you’ve put together so PvP is definitely my activity of choice.'

    This.

Amazing piece, Mike!  Thanks especially for answering all the kinds of questions that I as a total PvP freak want answers to about how PvP is shaping up for TOR.

I have to say I'm totally excited- one of my buddies and I are rolling together as a Shadow/Scoundrel combo.  Reading this combined with the new info on ACs they released today has really given me an increasing sense that this combo could be very close to the Rogue/Boomkin arena combo of BC- which was one we excelled at.

Trying not to expect too much or build it up too much in my head, but I really like the directions they've taken with the CC issue, PvP rewards, matching systems, and really liked the little touch about being able to vote a commendation- that might actually exert an influence on skilled players who spend the entire match telling everyone else how bad they are- NICE!- I'm all for less of that.  I'm the kind of guy that likes to let my kill count speak for itself.

One question about stealth- the all important one for pvp- how do the restealth mechanics work?  How hard is it, if you correctly utilize your abilities, to attack out of stealth, blow your burst CDs on someone, get back into stealth, and repeat?

Well, based on my experience, I would say that the kind of people who are hardcore PvPers seem to tolerate a fairly heavy imbalance- I played Horde on a server where Alliance was signifigantly but not overwhemingly stronger- made things interesting and Horde PvPers took a lot of pride in beating the odds.

Cross-server warzones may already be part of the plan from launch with this game, I don't think there's any info on this yet that I've seen.  Personally, if server populations are high enough, I'd like to see WZ be single server- makes for GREAT open-world rivalries and some of the most memorable battlegrounds matches I've ever fought.  I will never forget the death-grudge 9-hour WSG match victory! :P

    According to today's AC preview:

'Masters of stealth, these Shadows use positional attacks and surprise to defeat foes.'

As someone who played 6 Arena seasons as a rogue, I can tell you any class that depends on positional attacks to maximize burst dps doesn't stand still in PvP.

Bump.  It sounds like a blast, but it also sounds like the Sith Warrior is heavily overpowered.  If there's one class (i.e. the rogue when WoW first launched) that just destroys everyone on the PvP battlefield, then no one's going to want to PvP unless, of course, they're that class.  I had already intended to be a Sith Warrior, but I don't want to feel like I can walk into an outnumbered situation, /faceroll, and win.  I want to have the satisfaction of besting my opponents because of my PvP skills, not because of an unfair advantage (read also; Horde in WoW pre-WotLK PvP).

Hopefully this will be balanced before launch and we can all enjoy some good ol'fashioned PvP.
