The Sims Online -- Loved the Sims games. Played them all the time. Buying the MMO was a HUGE mistake. Awful, awful, awful. Hated it and uninstalled the game almost immediately.
WWII Online -- I don't know what it's like now, but back at launch, it was utter shit. Total wasste of my time and money.
Anarchy Online-- I was in the beta and should have known better. Bought the game and regretted it within the frst week. Quit before the first month ended, uninstalled and never looked back.
Asheron's Call 2 -- What good is an MMO if there's nothing in the world? It was a pretty world for the time, but empty. Quit and uninstalled this fairly quickly.
Hate to admit I paid money for APB... but I did.. On launch day
My defend it point, is the custom character creation freedom. From Tatoos, to clothing, to pimping yo ride you deffinatly had a unique character, and complete freedom to look any way you want. Had tehy only built a game to go with that.
Driving controls, Match system imbalance, small game world, aim bot hacks, questionable pricing.. Game play was a nightmare.
SWTOR. Face it, in the Scooby Doo Mystery Solving Van of coolness, this game is Velma. In this current MMO climate it has about as much chance for survival as a group of inquisitive teenagers in a 1980s slasher flick. -Tardcore May, 2011
Dark and Light (Founder, don't remember if I actually bought it or not)
and maybe Asheron's Call 2

Lets see, games that were awful in my opinion that I regret buying.
Final Fantasy 13, no exploration, the main character was a total psucho b&*^&, along with super emo child, oh and once again no exploration, one strieght freaking line. I hear it got better like 25hours in, im not spending that amount of time of crummy gameplay.
Final Fantasy 14, The begging had such promise, and by beginning I mean while you were on the boat. Than you realize its just repeat terrian where you kill the same mobs over and over until god nows when, and they didn't even change the color of the mobs so I could pretend they were different.
Hellgate London, not reason whatsoever to pay a monthly fee, game got repetative like 2 maps in.
Too Human, if theres a game I hate more than Final Fantasy 13, its Too Human. Didn't care for the controls, and whoever decided you can't skip the over done death scene is a complete moron who also happens to be sadistic.
An older example would be Suikoden 4, I liked 1,2, and 5, 3 was kinda meh, but at least I could beat it. 4 I got bored of before the game even really started.
Darkfall is number one, since I bought it with 6 month deal and left after 1.5
Lord of the Rings Online - went F2P, duh
Final Fantasy XIV Collectors Edition - at least I still use the cup at work
Final Fantasy XI - I bought it right before the FFXIV release only to get to know the series a bit better and never played it after again. The game is very good, I loved it a lot. Sadly, it's a bit deserted and the graphics are a bit too much of a downer for me to play it nowdays.
Rift Collectors Edition - A waste
Aion - another waste
Xsyon - at least I supported an indy developer, eh?
Fallen Earth - went F2P, another duh
I'm quite sure the list isn't full but these are the first ones that came to mind. Funny, though, the biggest money waste in mmorpgs ever for me was and still is the whole realm / faction changing thing in WoW...

Without a doubt the largest pile of coded refuse to come to market. Oh sure it had potential and it seemed like our good time gal would improve with time, but alas no.
Honorable mention goes to: Age of Conan and Warhammer Online.
Either: Mass Effect 2. Don't like it, think its shit.
Or: Mount and Blade Warband. Love it, its a "stinker" because it was on sale for $6 and I missed that by a couple of hours and ended up having to pay the full $30.

GW and WoW

The person who is certain, and who claims divine warrant for his certainty, belongs now to the infancy of our species.
Aion for me. Dull and repetitive rubbish. Had a lucky escape with FFIV as i played the beta. Shame really as i had high hopes for that.
Hmm, actually I thought it was suppose to be just mmo's for some reason.
But I would say Mortal Kombat vs Dc Universe is a tie with rift.
Scorpion....y u no rip off batmans head?!?!?!
Rift. Leveling was too quick, re-rolling was awful (same areas, same quests), Endgame was terrible, In short, WoW with way way less content.
This year? Rift. Before that? Champions Online when it was released.
World of Warcraft.

Tabula Rasa- Terrible.
Asheron's Call 2- Shutdown.
Command and Conquer 3 and 4- Red Alert was so much better.
Dungeons and Dragons Online- Whoops.
Aion- So many Bots.
Dragon Age: Origins- Boring pause/plan "action".
My first and second X-box 360s, both of which red-ringed. I'll stick with the good old Ps2 and PC games from here on out.

Most definately DDO
WoW AND AoC played them both at launch for short time quit and never went back man they where crap, wasted 100 euros for those tow games.
My best was AC-AC2-DARKFALL and LINEAGE2 all for free for all pvp.
Star Wars Galaxies
Without a doubt the largest pile of coded refuse to come to market. Oh sure it had potential and it seemed like our good time gal would improve with time, but alas no.

RIP TK-421. Best imperial guard ever.
Rift, Wow, Hellgate London. Hell, I actually scheduled my vacation around the release date for HGL. Needless to say, I had a crappy vacation.
Lotro
AoC, followed by DDO are the only ones I felt I totally wasted my money on.
Either: Mass Effect 2. Don't like it, think its shit.
Or: Mount and Blade Warband. Love it, its a "stinker" because it was on sale for $6 and I missed that by a couple of hours and ended up having to pay the full $30.
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.
FFXIV
"Be water my friend" - Bruce Lee
The Mount and Blade pack. Hated both the original game and Warband to bits. At least I only paid like $5 for the pack.
Guild Wars and Aion. The only two mmo's I regret buying.
