Again, you and all the other grown ups who keep BITCHING and CRYING are the minority not the majority anymore. Sit back and wait for your game to be released, if it ever will. What you call as shit is merly small talk seeing how millions will not care about your comment.
How does it feel to be in such a small special group? Left out, left behind, no devolper seems to care about anymore.
Show your statistics that we're the minority or I'll have to assume you're trolling. Aside from Runescape, my teenage son doesn't play MMOs, he's a console game player. Admittedly, that's not a statistical sample by any means, but it seems to me that I've been running into older and older players these past two years, at least in the pve games I've played. A lot of guilds full of 30 somethings recruiting, too.
So show me the statistic that says we're a minority. And do my eyes deceive me, or does your profile say you're 35?
You post more than 5 times a day on mmorpg.com / That's a miniority.
I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
I don't think I'm the only one that thinks this but... I don't like the idea of any game being a winner or loser to another. If SW:TOR has a good player base, one that makes me feel there are lots of people on (even if not).. I'll be happy. I've said it numerous times, no matter what content WoW creates to keep players, I HOPE they keep them. One rather huge reason I left WoW years ago was of the players. Anything that will keep the kids busy while I play my game is Ok by me.
If you still get excited about WOW expansions I feel bad for you. Game has been rehash of the same old crap for years, now its the same old crap with Pandas which is pretty sad in itself.

If you get excited about posting on a forum and insutling others who like a video game, i feel bad for you.
People have been begging for Pandaren since the beginning. As well as a class that uses unusual weaponry like a staff or their bare hands.
When a developers starts implementing things that fans have been begging for, that's a telltale sign that they are out of ideas. Because you don't do that. You don't just directly implement what they want. You listen to what they want, why they want it and then come up with your own ideas from there.

I don't understand!
Seeing it was already part of Warcraft lore, the idea was their's to begin with, they just need a way to intoduce it at the right time.

I messed up a bit in the wording. But the point is that you don't just say "They want this so let's give it to them!"

Same reason adult GUYS play scantily clad girls or men over 50 get all excited over a +2 pixel.
They should get Jack Black to the voice over and play "Kung Fu Fighting" as the soundtrack. It wouldn't be too far fetched considering the direction Blizzard is going with that game.
For ME....every expansion has gotten progressively WORSE.
I personally just think the game looks more and more like a pre-school game. I'm surprised the collector's edition doesn't come with a nap mat. Of course it might....we don't know that for sure yet. I guess xpacs don't really have collector's editions, but....yah.
. But people can't just walk away from a 7 year relationship with a game... The timing of the next WoW expansion regardless of all the criticism, is genius.
They will if the future looks bleak. And this Kung Fu Panda nonsense looks pretty bleak from my standpoint. It's a little like how George Lucas tried to pander to the kiddies with the annoying Jar Jar Binks. It pleases the under 12 year old crowd who don't know any better, but only pisses off the rest of the fans. I think this is going to finally cause WoW's subscriber numbers to slide dramatically. When you've got two bad ass MMO games coming out (SWTOR and Guild Wars 2) and acting as a sort of head vice for WoW, it's not a very good idea to embrace the panda.
Maybe so, but sadly it isn't the same... Jar Jar Binks was there to be funny and all that, but Pandarens aren't there to be cute and cuddly. Just because they aren't pandas doesn't mean they can't be bad asses, though I can see how it may look funny to the close minded.
Oh and no, most people wont walk away because of pandas, now if blizz said that was ALL they were adding, then yes, even I would walk away from that crap.

Fantasy.
Theres some strange people about and even stranger if pandas play a part in their fantasy .
I guess that's perspective really.
Ask a non-gamer dude would they rather be sitting next to a middle-aged guy who wants to pretend he's a cartoon panda or wants to pretend he's a hot cartoon chick, and see which answer you get.
I think Blizzard knows WoW is in trouble when SWTOR comes out, so they're adjusting the direction of WoW to fully embrace appealing to the masses of kiddies and otherwise ADD crowd that doesn't care about deep or meaningful lore, settings, etc... because they know all of the MMO gamers that want a more serious setting will be moving to SWTOR.
Just look at the other changes in the next WoW expansion, they're generally just dumbing down the game even more to remove any choice or thought. Hell, they're boiling talents down to 6 point choices. Now look at SWTOR, where there is huge emphasis on player choice in character development and plotlines.
I'm even one of the conservative onlookers of SWTOR, and even I think that SWTOR looks a hell of a lot better than WoW does. Comparatively, WoW just looks infantile now.
Why aren't any of us irritated about the SIX skills bit? You get one new skill every 6 levels. That's even dumber than the panda bit. But I guess they needed to simplify it more. I mean having all those skill points was just sooooooo confusing. I can't find one single thing that I like in this expansion. For ME....every expansion has gotten progressively WORSE.
As far as Blizz "handing it" to TOR. I don't really think that's how it's going to play out. Just because some of us on HERE think this is a lame xpac doesn't mean that millions won't still buy it. I personally just think the game looks more and more like a pre-school game. And now you can PLAY as teddy bears....sort of. I'm surprised the collector's edition doesn't come with a nap mat. Of course it might....we don't know that for sure yet. I guess xpacs don't really have collector's editions, but....yah.
Actually, its one TALENT every 15 levels.
This means 6 talents, and before you go OMG WHERE'S MY CUSTOMIZATION, let me explain.
For example: You're a combat rogue about to start a raid when another combat rogue joins. You take a look at his talents and, well, they're the EXACT same as yours. He's no different than you except for his gear, so how is you're character better than his?
WIth their current system, only gear and being a better button spammer would make you better.
However, with the new system, every 15 levels you get to activate one of three talents (and supposedly you can change them easily as well) that all enhance one thing.
Another Example: Your a survival hunter who just hit level 15. You get your first talent point and go to put the talent point in but you have a decision: Should you take Poison Arrow which applys a stackable DoT; Frost arrow which has a 50% chance to slow; or Repeating Arrow which has a 50% chance to return 10 focus (energy) to you.
If i was a PvPer all 3 of these could sound good to me in different situations, and it was done "To fix what talents were meant to be in the first place, a way to customize your character."
Enjoyed: WOW 5 1/2 yrs, LOTRO 3yrs, GW 1/2yr, DFO 1yr, EVE Online 3yrs, and Huxley (Beta).
Failed to impress: GW2 3months, Tera Online 6 months (best combat system in any MMO I've played) STO 1/4yr, Aion 1/2yr, AoC 1yr, CO, Fallen Earth, DDO, EQ2 1/2yr, WAR 1/2yr, Lineage 2 and FF XI 1/2yr, FF XIV.

I liked the pandaren brewmaster in WC3 but either way I have never bought a WoW expansion and don't plan on starting.
The pokemon bit though just seems .... off

I don think hes making fun of people, just giving his opionion on the software(game).
If you played vanilla (1-60 base game), you got the best of it. Although I did like BC also.
Really? This game sucks and Im not having fun? Im going to unsub right now. Thanks for the tip.
Insulting? where? o.O

You only have to look at his display for one second and you'll know what he means by "grown adult", Slowdoves. Cutesy is not his thang.
What are you talking about sir! Adults only play super serious games, because video games are super serious business afterall.
Out of all the ridiculous forum eruptions on this website, this has to be the most amusing lol...
Fantasy.

Agreed and lol @ nap mat.
because some people like Pandas?
Why have talking Cows?
Why gnomes?
People want to play as them so they have them.

SWTOR, the only reason it won't dethrone WoW is because of this : George Lucas.
Yeah they are, but when you add Bioware rpg storytelling to a standard mmo that's nerdgasm for me and plenty of others.
