Game absolutely looks beautifull and with freedom to go wherever you wanne go its screaming for exploring finding secrets roam dungeons or ruins. Only wish world was bit more popu;ated with npcs and mobs and more difficult to fight them.
I'll be honest, I'm glad there aren't more npc's or mobs. I just hate worlds where you go every 20 ft and get attacked. I love getting lost in a wilderness and feeling that I'm far from civilization.
maybe some more wildlife in certain areas.
Yeh ok i dont mean every 20meters ayyacked but now on regualar bases i have feeling no mobs at all so,etimes some wolfs or rats attack me thats it. But this game still give alot more adventuring in this beautifull world then Oblivion.
Hope to build full AMD system RYZEN/VEGA/AM4!!!

Agree...sometimes all you want to hear are the birds and wind.
I do agree with the "chosen one" thing, though. It's getting a bit old. Although, I guess it's kinda like.. "If you're not there to serve some specific purpose, or play some significant role, then what makes you any different from anyone else in Skyrim?"
...
that depends on what one thinks makes a hero: a destiny one has ahead, or choices one leaves behind.

Well I mean it more pragmatically.
If Bethesda were to release the game and say "You have absolutely no compelling reason to exist in this world, other than to exist. There is no storyline, no over-arching theme or situation that you are called upon to take up the cause for.. You're just there to be there and make your way", I imagine it would appeal to a number of people who like that open world, "sandboxy" feel.
However, when making a game, generally there is going to be some theme or storyline that is unfolding that the player, through their character, is supposed to venture through. There's always some overall goal, destiny, etc... for which the player's character is "the chosen one". The only thing that differs is what are they chosen for.
For example, Mario is the "chosen one" in Super Mario Bros. trying to save Princess Toadstool from Bowser. Whatever the circumstances, there's a main goal there, and Mario is the one "chosen" (whether explicitly or implicitly) to achieve it.
Generally, there has to be some main reason for your character's actions in the context of some situation that is beyond themselves or their control, or it just becomes a meandering, directionless experience.
I just think the whole "you're the chosen one" in terms of how the Elder Scrolls has approached it could use a bit of tweaking.

Well, Skyrim has story arcs and it has RNG stuff too. The RNG stuff does feel like RNG, so it's questionable if that is actually a sandbox. For me this is linear storylines and random questing placed into a game.
Does anyone know how armor and spellcasting work together? I remember reading that spells are less powerful if you wear armor, but I haven't seen any hard numbers on the subject.
Also, when you get the dual-casting perks, is there a downside to using both hands for a spell besides giving up doing something with your other hand? Do dual-casted spells use more mana or something?

I'm a Dual Casting Mage, and it hasn't been rough. lvl 12 right now, can one shot a few enemies, 2 or 3 shot most. Just gotta know how to play. I like the Rune magic as well. Shouts add more ownage.
As for mana consumption, i'm not sure if it takes more mana per spell but the Perk is if you use two identical spells you get a bigger, badder spell. They do more damage.
My build is healing and killing, destruction maxed out and every extra point goes into restoration.
As for Armor- I think the idea is that you trade off defense in favor of offense, my armor is Novic Hood which gives you 30 extra points to magic and robes that give 50% better mana recovery time and takes an extra 12% of Destruction spell cost off
EDIT- To anyone reading, if you haven't, go out exploring. Alot. Theres words of power and stuff hidden all ove3r in random shitz. lol
So far I love it. I didn't like Oblivion. Morrowind was nice but this is the best one so far. I forgot how great a single player game can be. I always feel lonely in sp games (that's why I mainly play mmos) but here there is so much to do and see. I spend like 2 hour running around town today talking with npcs and searching for some redguard lady (anyone knoiw where to find her? =P Some 2 guys want to find here for some reason).
graphics are beautiful, maybe textures and poly count isn't on the level of FF XIV but still it's hard to stop taking screenshots in this game =P

Oh thank you. I hate leaving unfinished quests and I think this might be a problem in this game. My journal is getting bigger.. maybe even too big =P
You know I I get excited about games a lot because the potential of a game always seems really awesome in the preview videos. That is what happened with this game - but you know what the biggest difference is? This game delivered what it showed. It delivered it in spades! I have to say this is my favorite game I have ever played to date straight out of the box. Seriously....it is that good. Could it be better...yeah, it could, it could have added combat from horse back and the ability to talk to people from horse back would be nice too, but all that can be delt with, either by the developers adding it via an expansion or via modders adding it. Either case this game as is, is so full of awesomesauce - it's like the best spaghetti ever!
If you are sitting on the fence about this game...don't. Beg, bower...buy it...just get it. Play it. It's like having your own little MMORPG in your computer without having to deal with arsehats.
BTW - they need to do a co-op version of this game ASAP. A co-op version of this game would totally make this the single best game ever made. Allow for upto 5 or ten others to play with you. Do like the guys at Talewords did for Mount and Blade Warband and allow us to set up online servers with passwords. That way only the people you wish to join you in the world can do it. Make it persistant..allow for some dynamic world changes and building and you'd never need another game again. Toss in some modding tools so players can customizse their worlds and we'd be set. ^_^
i dunno if its just me (it probably is) but the user interface feels very consoley!... if thats even a word but its just seems more controller friendly... ?

Exactly this.
Like I told my boy, it's one interentet connection away from an MMO.
You can friggin mine! Are you serious? I can smelt ore, tan hides, cook food. WTF bethesda, stop teasing us and just make the damn MMO already!
WTF bethesda, stop teasing us and just make the damn MMO already!
Nah, I'm glad Bethesda doesn't want to make this IP into an MMO. I mean really look at all the other MMOs lately, and how bad most of them have become, so simple and boring gear grind fests, and not a one of them have any crafting worthwhile cause all the best stuff drops from raids and some dungeons, so whats the point of most crafting then...
Now a multiplayer option with up to 6-10 other players I could agree too, because the quality wouldn't have to suffer under such small loads, whereas a full-blown MMO would have to be greatly reduced. Plus as an MMO we probably wouldn't be able to mod it and make our own custom content! Nor would we be able to manipulate any of the items laying about, they'd have to be static.
I could probably say Skyrim is the best RPG ever made. As one reviewer said... "Bethesda put a country in a fricken box". Just going through a Dwemer dungeon brought back Morrowind memories. Beating this game is going to be hard to do.
MMO? Although I don't see this in Skyrim, I think modders will find a way with this. Type in "Oblivion multiplayer mod" on Google and you'll find a variety of mods that have tried to this. An example would be this: http://csusap.csu.edu.au/~mloxto01/
On the other hand, here's my take on TES: MMO (i wrote this on another forum):
As much as I love the TES Series (I have been a fan since The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind), I don't want it to become an MMO. The setting of The Elder Scrolls universe feeds on the general notion of you being put in a country or continent on your own, without much help from anyone, forced to face the harshness of the world and to live up to the fate that was given to you (IIRC this was the general notion why TES I was called Arena, since you are like a gladiator forced to fight in an Arena without much choice).
In contrast, however, MMOs should take points from what Skyrim did. To quote Tom Francis, from PCGAMER:

This game is not good enough, and is in ways, an insult to gamers that are not appeased by bland gamedesign and a horrible GUI.

Playing on ps3 bascially as much as I could this weekend... Its hard to put down.
Skyrim is fantastic !
OK starting with cons because I'm so goshdarn critical:
CONS
-Lots of loading screens...thanks all you console kiddies!
-Enemies are a bit sparse, especially in dungeons
-The interface is original but just flat out wacky. Could be and should be better.
-Did I mention the UI is goofy?
-Not a whole lot of strategy in the combat
-These games have always screamed for a multiplayer component and it's never there
-Alot of the NPC movements and interactions are stilted, could have used more polish
-Enivronments are realistically rendered but could use a little more pizzaz
-Waiting till daybreak to sell off loot
PROS
-This is the class/tradeskill system we've all been waiting for
-Above system makes for an awesome variety of synergies with your character and gameplay
-Combat fatalities are sweet
-Random dragon killing
-Bows are implemented well--it's always nice to see an arrow sticking out of the target's eye socket
-Open world encounters are randomly generated. Hope you saved beforehand!
-Moving between towns and dungeons is painless with the quick travel option
-Overall the NPCs do a good job setting the atmosphere...whether its a performing bard or a fistfight between patrons
-Has a higher coolness factor than previous ES games
