I'm sorry I watched that. Nothing new, only stuff from trailers. Waste of time if you ask me, but heck to each their own.
Considering when she put the vid together, you could not display footage. The video is not bad. For me, the interesting part was as a end game rusher, she liked leveling which is pretty different from the norm.
Trying to label people you disagree with as conspiricy theorist = pathetic.
The fact is, who decides which bloggers and game companies to allow to review the game? The game developers. That is why you should wait until a game is released to take positive reviews seriously. Especially with big titles like this one.
Theres only one thing that I have seen in this game that I like...: Star Wars. Not enough for me.
Okay, so positive reviews = BS. Negative reviews = On the level and indicative of the game. Gotcha. Unfortunately, you forgot one thing: What about all the normal gamer type testers that have tried the game and loved it? You know, the people that don't work for a gamer site? People like you and I, for example. There are tons of those types who say this game is amazing. Did BioWare pay them off too?
You guys said Bioware is hiding behind the NDA. So they lifted the press embargo.
You guys said they are paying off the professional reviewers in order to get good reviews, so Bioware increased the amount of people in their beta.
You guys still complained about the NDA being in place because you believe Bioware doesn't want the testers talking about how awful the game is. So next weekend, Bioware is letting EVERYONE play it.
You guys complained about them only allowing weekend testers so that most people will only get to experience the first 15 or so levels and not see how poor the rest of the game is. So Bioware stated that last weekend's testers will be able to carry over the characters they made into next weekends test so that they can experience more content at higher levels.
The haters and conspiracy theorists are running out of ammo quickly.
Normally i tend to stay on the middle ground here and try and see both sides, but seriously this as much as possible.
like you said, first they cried about wanting to hear about the game from people
Bioware answered, they moved on to saying they wanted private peoples opinion as to what they did and didn't like as pro-sites tend to have ads and therefore are bias
That came out generally positive. Immediately theres no way to tell with just 15mins how a game will play
Bioware answers back with more time (45 mins) the same stuff happens again.
Then they cry for a beta of some kind so it's not all rehearsed, lines and all.
So Bioware does a beta, but as the nature of it, an NDA is in place.
They yell that Bioware must be hiding something, otherwise why the NDA. So Bioware answers back again with letting a press embargo go, thus allowing pro-sites to give their thoughts on the game. Again though the same arguement is thrown that the sites must obviously be working for EA or Bioware thus their opinion is null.
Then they lay their concerns that the game points to having major issues because a month away the NDA is still up.
So Bioware lets the common folk talk about. What a huge surprise that again those that speak positive are labeled shrills or something to that effect.
All throughout it's been about 75% positive 25% negative on all reviews.
I'm not one to be completely bias and say that the fan (boys/girls) are blameless, there has been quite a few instances where they've disregarded someone for one reason or another, but looking at this objectively it seems Bioware is trying everything in their power to really let people see the game in the best possible way they know how.
*to Biggus* I think this is just a simple case of some people you are simply never going to please, not because the other side isn't trying, it's because they don't want to be pleased or satisfy, they want to be angry or oppose the common thought, it's the rebel in them.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.
Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.
EA will perish with this type of marketing, and it will ruin Bioware who's last game recieved mediocre response. I think we can see why Bethesda fired these guys, they think to linear.
You have some interesting theories about viral marketing. It's too bad that none of them are founded on anything but speculation.
A. The person in the video never even played the game,
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
no thank you, there is a differnce between playing a game for publicity , and actually diving into the core game mechanics of the title. Any one can put on a wig and click some buttons for attention, it is another thing to actual play the , understand what is happening with every elemnt of the game and describe it clearly and desivively.
I will be doing that when I'm sdone with te beta test coming up. I hope you will see the difference and understand that my way of doing things will never be the same as anyone elses.
As far as you constantly trolling my OPINION, why don't cracken on formulating your own opinion insteadof riding everyone elses. That might a little diffuclt since you really don;'t have anything to say.
Icewhite /blocked.
No, you just made a non-factual statement, and I corrected it. That's it.

this is just some ramdom Ad crap, it reminds me of early 90's Tv ads of video games where some guy reading a paper says " Ninja gaiden 2 is a game where you assume a hole of a shadow warrior that cut his ememies with his sword and throw shurickens from walls.."
get a anime style hot chick + video game talk = win
Reporters are part of the story these days. If political news reporters think it is OK they are part of the news item, then media ones think they have carte blanche to do as they will.
... Any one can put on a wig and click some buttons for attention... {edited for humor...or at least an attempt at some}
*GASP!* You've been peeking in my window again haven't you!
Seriously, we still going on about Hillary and her review? She did a review, she did it in video format. Her review may or may not coincide with your opinions. If they do, great, if they don't, make yer own video review and offer counter opinions, or post counter opinions, but why the hell are you trollin her? You jelly that she got a review up on these boards, or that you don't look as good in that wig..or hair dye, whatever.
I know we are here in forums for discussion, and that's great, but when you start flaming the reviewer just cause you've never heard of her or she's a gamer chick and you think she should be makin yer sammich instead of playin games, it's no longer a discussion, it's flame war/troll fest.
( I_Return, I am not focusing on you, I used your post for the lil attempt at humor)

If you make a review to display a game, that'll be ok.
But if you make a review to display yourself in first place (as most of these chicks on youtube more or less do) and the subject second, you shouldn't only be prepared for the compliments you fish for but for some critic as well.
Not everyone likes this clips in which these girls over act, with less substance on topic but more rolling eyes. "If you dont like them, don't click them" -yes, and i usually don't...but if they get shoved into my face on my favorite gamespage, i'll drop a comment at least. And a negative one that is.
What about being more natural, with less acting and self-portrayal?
I am being myself, some people just can't deal ~.^
As for not going in-depth enough. Game Face is about my FIRSTimpressions of a game, not the in-depth review and core mechanics reviewed on a professional scale. That being said, I try to keep the first impressions as short as possible (around 5 minutes). With SWTOR it is a bit harder because there is more to cover, so I split it between Republic and Empire. I will also likely do a first impressions of healing in SWTOR (seeing as I typically play a healer in MMOs).
Afterwards I will focus on in-depth guides and reviews that won't be apart of Game Face. It'll cover various elements of the game, including flashpoints, Ops, and PvP.
Do I have some negative things to say about the game? Sure, but perhaps take a moment to think that maybe this time the good took precedence over the bad
The game has all the elements of WoW. It truly does. No new mechanics at all to speak of. Just a companion to follow you around and offer some combat support.
The only good things are the voice acting and story line. Once you hit 50 - grind, pvp, wait for lockouts to be gone, raid, farm, rinse and repeat.
Fact is if you have an element in your MMO that is not in WoW investors and marketing start to panic. Being original and maintaining funding do not go together.

Considering the fact that MMOs are all about 'subs' (long term) it seems pretty silly to try and influence the previews.
Based upon the stuff I read/seen though, why isn't there a year-sub option?

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Just a horrible horrible review...................................fail MMORPG
She got this 'position' because shes an anomaly....girl gamer in other words....In no way shape or form qualified to review...
