People falling out of bugged ships and floating in space for 40 minutes to get back into their ship.
They have $100 million, but don't know how to make a game with engaging gameplay it seems. So now you have a metagame of whales outbidding each other with thousand $ ships.

Even if someone were to say the gameplay is boring right now, the aspects of that gameplay are still early in development with a lot of placeholder stuff there to keep things glued together. It's the same kind of problem Shroud of the Avatar has at the moment, which is also coming along slowly.
For myself, I'm reserving my opinions on the game until it finally gets released. It's just a long way off at the moment. Mighty Number 9 on the other hand...

I've been part of a game for a very long time where I've seen this type of Newtonian space shooting gameplay work very effectively... so I guess I have faith that yes, it can be done. That they are trying to include the layer of people inside the ships also is just... awesome.
That said, regarding the bugs, 100 mil, and what has become the SC metagame, I very much agree.
