I do not hate Star Citizen. My concern is that people have given a lot of money and support to them, and I hope they aren't getting fleeced. I know that stupid is as stupid does and if you're foolish enough to spend hundreds of dollars on a game isn't even out, you deserve to get got. However, people get excited and want to support and sometimes don't always do the smart thing.
In most cases, people bought a 79.99 delux early access and ended up losing it. In this case, people have spent significant amounts of money, and I wouldn't want them to lose it as an object lesson.
My hope it pans out for those people. For those who lost the 79.99.... You deserve it, learn your lesson!

Last night I had watched a lot of videos and it looks to me like SC has made a lot of good progress lately. It miight be time for me to look more seriously into it and for that i have Escapist to thanks

I saw the post that Erillion posted with the Conny landing. I had no clue the level of detail on the dust effects during landing. Its the little things like this that really get me excited and want to see more.
Over the time frame of the first quarter of 2016 we should expect to see leaps and bounds of progress similar to what you are now identifying.

I think the past couple of years its been just getting the framework down, peoples offices oganized, workflow just right etc. all behind the scenes its looking like 2016 will be high output. I am offically a follower now. I followed for a little bit a few years ago but I had decided to wait.

I am not convinced its overly popular. I just think when people got caught up in it 2 or 3 or however many years ago they went all in ape shit crazy. Now theyre basically forced to defend it and hope and pray it comes out. The ones that are still crazy for it are still literally crazy for it and continue to spend money and buy stuff that doesnt exist yet.

No real disagreement from me. I'm just laughing at the irony of the defenders crowing about the drama while also adding to it. At the same time it takes a miniscule amount of criticism for the defence force to get mobilised, you would think these people have never used the internet before or have skin an atom thick.
