Is this where they talk about someone saying they were going to make the best space game
ever, and then telling you they will throw in extras if you send more
money. And then tell you you will get what we deem as a "minimal
viable product", at a date of our choosing which may change.
It seems that calling alpha and beta minimum viable product is coming more common with indie devs. I have no problem with that if it is clearly indicated what is MVP and what is 1.0.
Talking about games where thousands of players exist simultaneously in a single instance and mechanics related to such games.

I'll ask again. Straight to the meat and potatoes this time...
Where are the links to these information sources located on the RSI site? Again, aside from having to sort through the heavily moderated forums? Still not showing any. Just a link in the forums.
If it is so easy to get all the updated information you need on the game, then where is it linked to from the official site? Keep trying, but I already know the answer. There are no links to any of these information sites. The only way to find relevant and current information about the game is to google it yourself because there is none on the game's own site. Again, as I mentioned, other than wading through their heavily moderated pro forums. If they were really interested in getting their project out or a community naturally occurring they would surely have links to all this information, no? If they can't bother to update and provide information on their game you would think they would at least appreciate the efforts others have made to do so. At this stage, the information they have on their own site is outdated. Hence you googling and showing a bunch of other third party pages for information sources.
Went to their page just now. Learned about mining. Tons of information about how it works. As in presently; not how it will work. Yet, mining isn't in game presently. Tons of detail on it. Layers of detail. Nothing on MVP and features being postponed. Really no information at all. Just video links. No concise way to get any relevant and current information on this project.
The RSI site itself has little to no information regarding the current state of the game or any changes being made to it.
Clear as mud.
Unless you want to address my original question, in context, now I think I have seen all I need to. You provided the answer in a very round about way, but I got it. Thanks!

Starting to doubt people on the RSI forums? Why shouldn't you believe someone with a rear admiral package whos account has been around for a year, unless you are saying they created the account with the intention of posting to discredit the game a year later?
Do we know someone that was recently trying to "buy" existing mid-level SC accounts so he can post on the official forums again ? ,-) And proudly tells anyone about it.
Have fun
Got proof to back up your claim that this specific account about the guy selling his roof is in fact DS? Or are you just seeing the boogeyman in every poster now?
At some point you may learn the difference between a FACT and an OPINION.
OPINION (mine, in this case): Some postings on the official forum are IMHO fake.
Have fun
Well that was a lot of typing for essentially nothing gained. You insinuate that he is buying accounts to make fake posts and then when called on it you backpedal and try to make it look like my fault. Bravo.
Mining ahh yes mining. Not in game all sorts of info on it but no asteroids, no planets nothing to mine. But oh wait here buy this new MINING ship for what is it 130 bucks? Sense.

No. Posting a good valid link would have been better. Hard to get any kind of insight out of a borked one.

Still not concise. Still not accurate. Talking about the economy in the present. It isn't there. Oh wait, they were using the present term to talk about the economy in July of 2013. FPS shows in production. Didn't CR himself state that Star Marine was already in the current iteration? I'll leave Persistent Universe and Squadron 42 listed as "Coming Soon" alone. That's just too easy.
The monthly reports are mostly fluff and, again, videos to try to sit through, with a few lines of pertinent information on what is actually being worked on. Nothing really on the current state of the game overall. What features are in or out. No mention of any of these things that are stated in all these other videos.

It is very concise and very accurate. You will observe this the moment you remove your anti SC / CR glasses.
The monthly report videos, from each and every team mind you, are presented in a very coherent way for everyone to follow and comprehend. They are anything but fluff for anyone watching them in good will, something you obviously lack. This is apparent by just surveying your posts concerning SC and CR. Every piece of info you read is refracted through a hate prism.
I wont even talk about the 60+ pages of detailed patch notes present in the link i gave you or the bug smasher videos where developers talk about bugs and how they fix them. For you anything SC related is obviously fluff.

So when that guy mentions theyre redoing all the models/skeletons for characters (for a hthrd tiem at least) they immediately start talking about how Chris Roberts doesnt like cargo shorts? Then after 3 or 5 minutes of that they mention in passing to answer another question from someone who probably said "wait what?'' how 'probably everything will be redone'. You mean those concise and coherent videos?
Most of those 'team' ones are over an hour if not close to two hours long and they talk about the game for maybe 30 minutes total and usually its not even accurate 4 or 5 videos later.
Or the videos of Lando losing his mind for over 2 hrs, like those videos?

Typical approach. Isolating moments, phrases, comments and extrapolating "facts" and "proofs".
I can make a very detailed case arguing that the Americans never set foot on the moon by doing just the same. What would this make me look like ?

Of course you can because we didnt, what does that have to do with Star Citizen? If anything you proved my points.
But its a typical pro approach to take the 'negative' stuff the people who the people the pro camp want to cite as experts and disregard it when it doent fit the narrative.
Those isolated moments phrases and comments are more natural and forthcoming and generally would indicate a more truthful connotation than the rehearsed and scripted crap they come up with most of the time. When they arent talking about cargo shorts that is.
