So far Guardian isn't bad but I was definitely not inundated with requests for teaming. Actually only one invite so far(and they sucked, sewer team and the leader left after about 6 mobs, said Oops and logged out).
I know KR is updated but they need to pick up the pace and create a little more interaction with the environment. Sometimes I look at the zones and see so much possibility but that's it, its just been possiblities.
I think coh/v should consider server mergers. Maybe down to 2 or 1. Merge the West servers into one and the East servers into one. Better yet, just go Auto Assault and dump us all into one server.
The template is there based on Auto Assault, perhaps its something to consider. I'll point out that EvE is just one big server.

That is probably a bit too far...Virtue and Freedom are crowded enough in Prime Time, thanks.
Agreed a 2 server merger would be a disaster. There are already mulitple instances of zones in freedom and there is lag in those places. I would think min 5 or so servers would be fine. I know personally freedom is just fine from my perspective even late hours are often 2 out of 3 bubbles traffic.
The fact that the playerbase only went up by about 50K (breifly) after the release of the huge CoV expansion and all the stuff it brought with it (PvP, SG base raids, etc.) is a sign of how much people hated the enhancement nerfs.
It was one of the stupidest moves ever made in videogames. People were still extremely frustrated from the MUCH SMALLER nerfs in Issue 5 and they went and then they nerfed every class in the game enormously in order to try to bring their grossly imbalanced PvP back to something fixable (but it still remains completely broken as only a few builds are actually viable) and to make the PvE content more difficult. . . not that it wasn't before - the beauty of dynamic content is that players could adjust the challenge themselves - and we were making it difficult by taking on harder challenges than the game intended, which honestly felt PERFECT for a super-hero MMO. It makes sense that higher level heroes could take on SOME archvillains alone or in small teams while other archvillains would take full groups and still be challenging, but that these AVs would be impossible alone at earlier levels.
CoH was incredibly fun once and I think CoV would have been incredibly fun had it not been nerfed into unplayability.
Oh well. Whatever. Wake me when they get a clue or someone makes a new superhero game.
heh...nerfed into unplayability...it now takes me 3 shots to KO an even con insted of 2. Lets see what they do with this 'extra space' they have made at the top of the enhancement cap before we compare this to, say, the NGE.
Everytime I hear of ED and the 'extra space' or 'room at the top' we may be possibly using in I8 and beyond, I can't help but think of a sale at a retail store but they increased the normal everyday prices before giving you 1/2 off.

I haven't seen multiple instances of any zone since KR during the "Winter Lord Fiasco"
Played CoH all night last night for the first time. I saw two other players. Not sure what this game has, but gonna play til I find it, or until coma, whichever comes first.
That's been my experience as well. I also play on the more populated servers, Freedom and Virtue when playing my villains. Someone mentioned getting invites 24/7 but I've only come remotely close to that during the first 6 months of the game(I played exclusively on Infinity back then). Anytime someone mentions that, I immediately jump on and am disappointed. I was really hoping CoV would nearly double the population but it barely brought the numbers near to launch numbers. Two games, more zones, more servers = less people to invite you(not to mention some of those subscriber numbers now include the UK).

Sure, in the tutorial zone maybe.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
