Mudvayne isnt half bad. Not great but ok. Cradle of Filth Rocks though! Hrmm Thana youd like it out west where I live. The only thing they regulate in my schools is that boys cant have open tatoo's, peircings, torn clothes or female clothes. Other then that your free to be yourself. Generally though its not highly recommended unless your backed by a supportive group. If your the only one of your kind your at terrible risk. Hell they threw a kid off the bridge last week for wearing a wig. Though the emo's have a bit of a army and you see them around town. The only bad clique we have is the damned gang wanabees. For the love of pete! The town only has 26,000 people! The kids are beating each other up with baseball bads, posioning each other, shooting each other and generally making town hell. Its only making the natural racisism of the area get worse because its just mexicans usually. Though lately a few whites have joined in. In anycase just put some pot in some brownies and feed the principals it. Worked great in our school. Some kids did that in highschool and had 12 teachers as high as kites. They were so messed up they confined them to the library for a few hours. God talk about a riot. That day the kids ruled! We never did it agian. We like order for the most part. There alot of cowboy types here. Thus the rascisim hehe. Im 26 and thankfully out of the youth crowd. Life is good. Oh and 15 dollars a hour for mowing yards?! Say what?! We make like 9 to 10 dollars a hour max up here for that. Heck the highest paying job in town is to be a nurse and it pays 45 bucks a hour. The general wage in town is 10.25. Sigh, one of the bad things about living in a old logging town.

You are doing something to 'stand out' at school. To draw attention to yourself. To become an object of discussion.
As far as they're concerned, you are only at school for one purpose: schoolwork. Listen to the teacher, do your work. Anything that distracts from that is making their job harder. There is no upside to making their job harder. So they're going to stop you doing these things that do not further their purpose whenever they can.
This is the logic behind school uniforms, school dresscodes, school makeup policies (many have them).
I won't even get into something as ridiculous as "why aren't the same exact rules applied to girls and boys" ... look, the girls don't have to wear a cup when they play softball, get over it.
Is this frequently in conflict with the teenage impulse to rebel? Absolutely. This is why sane people consider teaching high school to be only slightly above being an inmate at Guantanamo Bay on the Life Choices spectrum.

If your job's policy is the same as mine when I worked in customer services, no, no you don't have a right to question them. They are patrons, and I know I got fired if I talked back.
