Now this cracks me up to no end. So according to you people should not warn others of bad products or services?
Why is there, those that think is a good game why can't they defend their position without you getting back on them when you are saying the same things you defending different opinions. You render this post here useles with the first sentence didn't you. Or you actually think your opinion is more worth then others (No I dont think you do.).
So instead of putting blame on the developers that create and put out these bad products, we should blame the public instead?
Hmm wonder how would this go down for other products as well? For example would it be prudent to blame the public for cars that have factory defects? Should we blame the public for products that fail prematurely? How about blaming the public if your electricity goes out or your cable service cuts in and out or if your DVD's come with a scratch?
Should we blame the public for bad movies as well? Should we blame the critics for warning others of bad movies? Should we blame reviewers for bad products, such as consumer reports?
But aren't you blaming those that enjoys Vanguard to let these things you don't like happen.
Fact of the matter these forums are to disguss games and also to inform others.
How is it, you think by being a fanboy you are helping the industry out? Coaxing others to pay for incomplete games and staunchly defending bad products?
Should we blame the public for bad games?
Do you feel it would be ok if the newpaper or magazine you subscibe to only came half complete? What about if the pictures or stories bleeded out off the page?
I would not buy the game if the cd's was cut in half no. I would not buy the game if not playable, but it is playable. You cant deny that, or otherwise I actually think you would do what tha pervious poster asks for show in detail your problem not others problems. You don't like the playable parts you just 'hate' the nonworking parts. A halfpapermagazine is not a 'working' magazine but I would not complain if the colored cartoons was made b/w for some reasons in a completepapermagazine.
Do you feel it would be Ok if your cable TV only had half the channels you were promised? Or if the channels sometimes caused your TV to turn off or just became fuzzy in the middle of a show?
Well uhm, did you buy Vanguard because it had flying mounts, because it had raid content, even though it was stated it wasn't in by release. About the TV doesn't your TV picture become somewhat scrambled from time to time.(?)
If you went to a movie would it be OK if the movie ended half way throught or skipped ahead a few minutes?
A movie theater wouldn't put up a half movie, nor would a game publisher publish a game that was not compiled.
How would you feel if your Mp3 player just didn't work at times and it was a known issue among it's maker?
You are refering to broken things, Vanguard is not broken in that sence. Not really, you may hate it if you like, but please try to make other comparisments that is just.
I myself would rather get what I expected from my money. I think others would as well. I know if some people had problems with a particular product or service they would like to warn others to stay away.
And they could be standing outside a warehouse or a store screaming, disrupt, attack people for how long? Would you even be able to campaign silently, respectful, how long would two groups be able to argue wildly in public. This is the internet this is a very special place, you can even educate yourself by google.
Can a person stand outside a known crook to car salesman and talk people into not going there. Even if you have right or not.
Ok warn people, but do that in respect to those that actually enjoys vanguard. One doesn't have to thread on them, disrupting all they say.
The problem with fanboys is that you do more harm than good to the industry. I've seen the deterioration of quality control in the computer gaming industry for the last 13 years because of fanboy behavior. First it was the patch back when the web was really getting going. Most of these patches were very small and were to fix certain issues reguarding hardware. Then when that became the norm the patches grew to fix gameplay bugs. Once that became the norm the patches grew to implement game play that was not finished before the game went gold.
You have noticed a big upgrade in hardware over the years. It is a long time since you filled 2-3 3.5" floppy disks with data to suit/run on a handfull of computerconfigurations. So despite of what one may think of Vanguard and patching, patching is something that I think one never will get rid of. Put it this way instead.
If we removed all patching possability alot of games would not have been able to release. Vanguard maybe would have been scrapped, but know the possibility to get it to work because of patching is not necceserly a bad thing.
Now they don't even bother to finish the games anymore and fanboys cheer them on for it. Now it is expected for a game to not be funtional before it's release. Their excuses are always the same.. didn't have time.. didn't have the money .. blah blah.. and we are expected to pay for it. In MMO's not just once but every month. Often times players have to beg for fixes or content. In some games like SWG it's the paying public that is expected to be the testers for beta. If they don't and there are bugs released in the live game the devs blame the customers for not telling them during testing.
And some think this way is a good way to do things, patching, changing content evolve the game. Able to have public testing, public input on what is good or bad (no not every single one voice will get heard that is impossible) you may not like it others do.
It wouldn't be so bad if we got a rebate for this kind of unscrupulous business practices but we don't. Instead it just keeps getting worse and fanboy boneheads just keep cheering it on.
They are fanboy boneheads because they defend a game in same style as you bash it?
MMORPG make money on unfinished products and as of yet no comsumer group has taken them on. Yet! When they do things will change for the better and the industry will flourish even more.
So a consumer group would take on games becouse other people just don't like them. No again Vanguard is working it is playable.
In closing it is not the fanboys that keep the devs on their toes and challenge them to do better. It is players like me that expect a certain level or professionalism amongst the people who create these products. Fanboys will always be known as the people who don't mind getting taken for a ride and ridicule those of us that do.
I am quite certain that if you play a game you like, gamestyle or whatever you can put up with pretty much of the unproffesionalism you claim on Vanguard. It is just the other side of the same coin you may not just like the currency.
We moan our love ones for 3 days ? How many days you guys need to moan for a game you hate? You know how stupid and dumb you guys sound, trying to justify your trolling in our forums? Get over it, the game wasnt meant for you and your $500 Circuit City computer, life goes on after your break up with VG, lol.
People express their distaste for this game to prevent the blind fanboi's from misleading potential customers.
It's a self-perpetuating problem. When fanboi's stop making up complete and utter crap (Example: This game runs perfect, it's bug free, there are tons of people playing all the time, it's the best game ever, etc etc) then haters wouldn't have to constantly chime in to point out these falsities.
That's how bad of a game Vanguard is; people are willing to go out of their way to ensure that fellow consumers won't pay Sigil money for such a crumby, inferior product. Vanguard is Star Wars Galaxies: Part 2, except SWG was actually fun at one point...and it's a cold day in hell when you're inferior to SWG.
Now your sent by god to save all of us. What a bunch BS. Do all us a favor go away, its not working anymore.
TOP REAL REASON WHY WE HAVE VG TROLLS!
1) The Game was not design for them, its not WOW.
2) Performance issues, your $500 Circuit City computer will not run VG.
I am going to admit, VG does have bugs. But so far at level 21. I have yet to CTD or die from a bug. Never crash from a chunk, never fell through the world. All the bugs that I have encounter has been stupid things, that I will admit sometimes piss me off. Like not able to see my mailbox, lol. Rechecking the box to see all names, its stuff like this that is broken. Every quest that I started, I was able to finish with no problems. So all your BS about the game, is just BS. I did not play the game at launch so I can not say what happen then, just whats going on now.
I am playing the game fine, and having fun. I see tons of players everywhere. I see tons of diiferant guilds to join. Grouping in VG is easy. The adventure of VG is great, the world is so big and full of stuff to do. This game has so much things to do, you could spend years just playing it has it stands, if they dont dumb it down.
And about your WOW comment, I am glad 8 million players are playing WOW, my question to you is, why in earth name are you here, if WOW is so great, go play your game you like so much, i know i am playing the game that I Iike. I dont have to troll over to the WOW section, I have no need for it, its not design for me.
Remember Britney Spear sold over 10 million copies, does that make her a good singer?
I can give you 1 reason why VG is developing a bad reputation. The game itself costs 50 bucks for most people this is a chunk of change.Personally id be pissed if i spent 50 bucks and it didnt run properly.Once people figure out they have to turn down 90% of the settings its not the same game.
The reason WoW has become so popular is that it runs SMOOTHLY on an average system. If Sigil had learned anything from this they wouldnt be having to apologize for anything.
I had a guild in another game. Our guild website had several hundred members. I also ran a seperate fansite for that game, while was very popular and visited quite a bit. I announced that my guild would be moving to Vanguard . . as the guild had pretty much accomplished everything we set out to do in the 3 years we existed.
Not only did my guild switch to Vanguard . . but people we associated with from the other game also came to Vanguard. So, we had a core group of experienced, dedicated players. Then we also recruited players from within Vanguard. So we not only had old guildmates, but also a mixture of new players.
The first week was interesting, in that we were very active. I'd say during our peak times, we had at least 80% of the guild online at one time. Pretty impressive, if you ask me.
But then the game revealed itself to be a bore, and people simply stopped logging on.
The interesting thing . . looking at the guild roster on the Vanguard website is this:
Only one person has actually left the guild. No one else has left the guild. One person logged in 5 days ago. After that, the closest person is 3 weeks ago. The vast majority have not logged on since late February/early March. That's just pathetic, and a testament to how the "potential" of Vanguard is not realized.
I still hope that some day Vanguard will become a fun game to play, but the question now is just whether Vanguard will survive to be able to reach that point. I don't know, but I fear not.
To me Vanguard is a bit like Ryzom. People seem to like it and think it is fun, but I haven't got a clue why? Problem is, lots of people seem to feel the way I feel (which was not the case for Ryzom, btw). So they move on. Discussing the game will not change that.
It is a bit sad really, but I think Vanguard will never get the chance to live up to its potential. In my case Vanguard never was the game I imagined it to be from the way it was advertised. That is not a problem for me, but it was a reason for leaving. That plus the fact I could not get to like the game and have some fun.
Some people care about this game more than I do, and feel the need to defend it against unjust criticism, but that is just a side issue. The real issue is whether Vanguard will rise up and fulfill its potential. Maybe SOE will be the saviour of this game, but without that I think it is curtains for Vanguard.
Game hitches like a bitch and gameplay sux all around.
Must be my $500 comp huh?! Fact is VG has a problem on both machines. Fact is they screwed the public releasing beta. Fact is some peeps are stupid enough to cheer them on for it. Fact is the support team sux ass and can't figure out the bugs but instead blame it on the peeps machines. Fact is if they programed the game in accordance to Direct X params they wouldn't have these problems with hardware.
Fact is people like me will continue letting fellow gamers know how screwed up this game is so they don't get screwed as well.
Hey fanboy jackass, go read the VG forums under support to see all the peeps with high end machines having problems.
Love VG fanboys, Wonder how the VG devs feel having these guys hump their legs all the time lol.
To those of you thinking of buying this POS BEWARE!! Keep your money and buy a real game that is done.
Don't support Retail Beta.
My game hitches like a bitch, that the best you can say? Kind of sad that my system is less then yours but the game runs better on my system.
My game hitches like a bitch, that the best you can say? Kind of sad that my system is less then yours but the game runs better on my system.
Whos telling the turth.
Certainly not you.
All you do is knock down systems that are less than two years old, because you can't rationalize VG's pathetic performance.
Brad even admitted that the game's performance is sub-par and that they would be relying on Moore's law for more subscribers.
The performance issues are well documented and flood the technical support forums (they used to flood silky as well), so please continue lying so you can make the Vanguard community look like a bunch of retarded shills. That is your aim, isn't it? To make the Vanguard community look bad?
I guess you deserve a thumbs up for a job well done:
This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.
Meh, what can I say? VG has a 6 month sub on me. The game is what I'm looking for at this present time in an MMO. Is it perfect? Nope. Does it feed the need? Yep. I get 65+ FPS on the game, with settings on full bust. I don't get crashes, and I rarely get lag. The staff have been superb. The GM's have been prompt, polite and very helpful. For me, the game lives and breaths. My only complaint about it would be that it isn't the third generation MMO that was promised. Though a great game, it's really nothing more than a middle ground between EQ and WoW with an emphasis on grouping. Is this a bad thing? Not really, but there are other games out there (such as AoC and Tabula Rasa) that will hopefully move the industry in a new direction. In the meantime, I find it highly doubtful that VG has anything less than 100k subscribers. I also believe though that Sigil really needs to do something. Though I'm sure the numbers are so/so, they could be better. I do know people that have quit the game, simply due to the whole "been there, done that" routine. Yes diplomacy is fun, and crafting is detailed, but ultimately if you want to play an adventure game, this game is probably more challenging than most. I personally love it, but can see why some others would not. How to fix this? My personal opinion is to merge some servers. The game is H-U-G-E, and I hope they keep it that way! But yes, the population is way to scattered at this time. Lets get some peeps together, run through this game, then let word of mouth take it's course. It really is a good game, but definately does not have a very broad appeal. For those that feel their current MMO is too easy and want a bit of extra challenge, VG is worth a look at.
Finally someone that has some sense. Your right no one knows the numbers. We can only guess.
But the only thing that I know. I play at 1900 x 1200 with np, and I love how the game is made, and I am sure I am not alone. What I dont understand why do players that do not like VG, do no move on? Why is VG so personal for them? Are they really that mad, that a company had the balls to make a game not meant for them? or not to be run with a $500 Circuit City computer? This game runs fine with my 3 year old computer, yes it was the best of the best back then.
It's old SWG geeks that are still pissed off that SOE ruined there Star Wars world... They have vowed to diss any game made by SOE from now to the day they die....
Given I was pissed about the NGE also, I made a few posts in the offical forums why I didnt like the NGE and then cancled my account and moved on.... After all its ONLY a game....
The x800GTO is sold for about $ 60 at newegg. I am not trying to flame you or cut you down. But your computer is about $500 dollar now. Today computers is not even close to 2-3 years ago, not in speed or price. What makes it worst is the piece of crap MS has made with Vista. Its going to take a good year before if will will faster then XP Pro, if it ever does.
Yari, I understand my computer is old... that's not the point. The point is that my computer WILL play Oblivion, EQ2, LOTRO, and Company of Heroes. And that they ALL look better than Vanguard.
I haven't seen screenshots yet of Vanguard that look impressive. The rocks look like plastic, the character models are poorly done, the spell effects are some of the worst I've ever seen, and the game is just boring. Buying an $8000 computer isn't going to fix any of those complaints.
So to say someone doesn't enjoy the game because they have $500 computers doesn't make much sense.

LOL... I love the outlandish remarks, because their $500 computer doesnt handle VG well, somehow they think they need to spend $3k. But you don't need an $8000 computer, you only need a $1,200 one.
Have you not seen my screenshots, r u saying they are ugly or not impressive..? The following are all in "balanced" mode on a $360 GPU
Here are a few, please find fault:

Thats HALF of what VG has to offer... unfortunatly, my 8800GTS can't handle anything higher. But, come Aug/Sept I'll be bale to purchase an even more powerfull card for less...
I have no problems running the game, that all I can say. Everything what you have said I do not have a problem with.
BTW your computer is very close to the $500 Circuit City Computer, except for the video card, but its still $100 video card, that crap was never top end, lol.
I can not go and see whats wrong with your computer. If you like, I start a thread and you guys can post all your hardware and I can tell you whats needs to be replace or remove. Please dont tell me you have vista running too, lol.
Again player clueless about there computers, you just have old junk.
Ok...Is there anything else positive about this game, other than the fact that your computer can actually run it?

Playing: Final Fantasy Online: ARR, Destiny Most memorable games for me: UO, GW1, LoTRO

Yes! I guess you guys dont read my posts.
About everything in the game I enjoy. My only complain is the game is a tad easy, PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND, I NOT IDIOT PLAYER, most MMOs game are so stupid and easy, i am about ready to shoot my self when I play them.
IN VG, i have the chance to do group quest solo, I can kill mobs 5 levels higher. Every other MMOS group quest are dumb down that any retard can do them. VG is not so easy in the way. Getting to a special mob is not easy, you need to clear tons of trash, or if your me, or have friends like I do. We know how to bypass them, if we need to. We have the skills and knowledge how to move around and CC very well.
I love how big the world is, I cant understand why some here are complaining about it. Its one of the best part,. The world is full of stuff to do, so thats another lie, that most are spreading here. Some task might be grinding to some here.
Perfect example is, one of the poster, was complaining how much he hated to get 12k faction for a mask that gives 20 % run speed. I got 5k faction within one hour, because i found high level faction group, we kicked some ass. You need to pick the right timing for some stuffs, sometimes you need to wait for the right players. I am part of a cool guild, i am not in there main guild, i am in thera alt guild, lol. I am to low to be in the main one, you need to be level 50 for that. But i still get tons of help form them. VG community is differant from most MMOs, players do help each other out. Quests are fun, and have good rewards, including nice xp gains.
The game is great, combat is cool, and nicely done, I have a good computer so its plays well on my system. I say it again, what most haters wont amit, that they have a $ 500 computer and VG is a game not meant for them, so they spread the lies.
Yes VG has bugs, and some performance isues, but no where near what most are saying here, the game has soul, its well done game, not even close to anything in the market. Its the best MMO atm.
I think that is very interesting that a poster mentioned "timing" in Vanguard, and to a certain extent I agree. I however have not had any problems (whatsoever) in organizing and coordinating groups. If I relied on these forum (although MMORPG is generally outstanding) I would think that no one plays Vanguard and the game generally "sucks." I have recently resubscribed, and I plan to provide a fairly comprehensive report on Vanguard's present state.
In regards to timing, many enjoy this; as timing in Vanguard can be the difference between success, failure, death, or slight survival. The environment in Vanguard is not predictable as a result both of the massive amount of options (solo, group, etc.) players have and the vastness of the world. It is what I particularly enjoy about Vanguard because if something is not going well in one area or not working well for me, I can simply relocate and do something else.
well for me the performance overall wasnt horrible as i was actually able to have the game run at 1600x1200 on maxxed settings. (anyone would know if they saw my screenshots) and still maintain 30-40+ fps some area goes higher. its the cities that tend to need work and better optimizing. the game isnt horrible by any stretch, it just need lot more work, and better optimizing, and better tweaking of gameplay and mechanics and class balancing (due to being unfinished) and lot more quests, another 3-6 months or more down the line it may find its sweet spot and bounce back. but as anyone and frankly you cant blame them when they get burnt int he past they remember it, and dont want to get burnt again no matter how much you entice them that its okay, people remember that pain, that hurt, being wronged.
its not the players fualt for not having a really good computer, hell even with a really good computer its kind of a hit or miss with performance beciase the code is so erractic and how it utilizes drivers. but as far as gameplay i kinda liked it,despite its oddities and brokeness id say one thing i didnt care for was crafting, it was more work than it was fun too many damn clicks to tedious, and mind numbing. the grouping was a bit broken, and found on the florendyl server groups were a bit hard after a while, my guild slowly dissolved as not many people were logged at any given time. despite having overall good performance and being able to have max settings the chunks were still a problem though for the most part 1-2 seconds pause, still gets annoying had some texturing problems due to 8800 drivers.
I dont think as consumers we should have to "tolerate" would be features that are to be put in susposable near future, or partially optimized code being released due to the development mismanagement of time, and resources. the buck stops here so to speak.
Do i think the game could eventually be great? yeah i believe it can, but i cant pay for what "could be, should be and will eventually be" that not my responsibility as a consumer to pay for a unfinished product. this is unfortunately the case with MMO's though MMo's for the most part are pretty stable LOTRO proved that. hell back in Beta3 it was really stable and scaled well. all inall i think the game could of been great imagine the community, from the start i loved the community, mature, intelligent, helpful, its sad that this game has gone down the stinker in such a fashion, but its no ones fault other than the dev's. maybe, maybe, if they do the right thing, get this game on the ball it can perhaps bounce back partially and make some remotely suitable profit to go on, but even thats a bit of s stretch. i had high hopes for this game. but we cant deny what has transpired, but I hope people who are currently playing it, enjoy it and have fun, i wouldnt havee it any other way. lets hope this game keeps up, i may very well coem back in 3-6 months to see what the deal is.
3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 560GTX 2GB OC, 640GB HD SATA II, BFG 1000WATT PSU. MSI NF980-G65 TRI-SLI MOBO.
The game stinks, I just can't see why anyone continues to hang on. And my computer (which I built and didn't buy at CC) can't make this game look decent, yet LOTRO looks great. And Oblivion. And WoW. And Company of Heroes... Maybe it's not the computers after all...
Hmm, you have this;
Quote:
I have a 3200+, 1 GB RAM, and an x800GTO, and the game will run "OK" with a lot of tweaking, but it isn't great. I'm underwhelmed with what I've experienced so far, sad to say.
End Quote:
is that your famous computer?
YOU MUST HAVE 2 GIG of memory to run VG correctly, and i hate to say this, your computer can be brought at Circuit City for $500, well not yours they got better ones now.
Actually McQuaid himself has said they screwed up with their system requirements and set it too high. I've been able to run every game I've bought in the past year just fine on my computer, high end games like Oblivion, FEAR, STALKER and every other new release. Vanguard has been the ONLY game that I haven't been able to run at an acceptable frame rate. Making your game playable only on higher end systems is retarded. Period.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

Exactly. MMO's only appeal to a small percentage of the gaming market. Now the syatem minimums just alienated 80% of that audience... what do you have now? Somewhere around SWG's subscriber levels... which is not going to make VG ever turn a dime profit.
Shayde - SWG (dead) Proud member of the Cabal.
It sounds great, so great in fact, I pitty those who canceled - Some deluded SWG fanboi who pities me. I don't like it when you say things. - A Vanguard fan who does too. 09f911029d74e35bd84156c5635688c0

Precisely. VG / Sigil are choking on debt right now; that is the reason for the entire SOE / Sigil talks going on. This is a contingency plan that has been in place since SOE picked up as publisher, and has now been realised.
If people honestly think that VG will prosper while losing money, or that SOE Is going to sink massive amounts of manpower and financing into a failed venture (that failed for reasons out of their control), there is going to be a rude awakening.
Once the patient is dead, doctor's will not continue to administer CPR and medication for days afters. They are going to pull the plug and bury it in the ground where it belongs.

I will be interested in your re-review of the game Healz4u. From your posts you do not seem to be an irrational fanboi about the game but just someone who enjoys it for what it is.
I am on Florendyl and I am seeing about 1000 people online during prime time with the meat of the population around levels 14-28. Given the extreme size of the world you can see where I can be skeptical of your statement that it is easy to get groups up and running. Florendyl is at "medium" population during the primetime hours of 8pm - 11pm Eastern time. Therefore, in the best case of having 13,000 concurrent Users online at primetime for all servers on a consistent basis, 35-50k subscriptions is still a pretty good guess. During the daytime non-prime hours the population drops to around 400 people online for Florendyl.
I do hope that VG survives as if it does fail it will push this industry more towards console games but I don't see that happening unless SOE buys the game and uses it as a loss for tax purposes. They certainly will not see any profit from the game. Because SOE is a public company they have to answer to shareholders, I am not sure they can justify taking VG and losing money. Businesses typically do not like to lose money but given SOE's track record they may not be trying to make a profit on their MMO portfolio.

Reading comprehension ftw. I said that my issues with the game cannot be fixed EVEN with an $8000 computer. The textures are still wrong, the players models are still bad, and the spell effects are still the worst I've seen.
And thank you for providing pics to prove my point. Look at the rocks in the 2nd picture... terrible. And it still doesn't support AA...
well for me the performance overall wasnt horrible as i was actually able to have the game run at 1600x1200 on maxxed settings.
The game was actually intended to be released at the same time as Vista when they were originally going to work with Microsoft.
That said - I averaged 5-10 FPS better performance on Vista than I did in XP. I've tried it actually on more than one system that went from XP to Vista. And IMMEDIATELY I found better performance.
So for those of you who are reluctant to try it out on Vista - I'd give it a try actually. Just make sure you run it as administrator (and if you use voice chat like Ventrilo - make sure you run that in admin mode aswell... it'll save you a headaache.)
BUT - all that said - I cancelled yesterday - cause yeah... Games are supposed to be fun - right?

I have to laugh as my friend who runs the game on Vista CTDs all the time....
This game is simply missing that certain special something... heart soul whatever... its has NO HOOK...
It promises challenge, however its has no challenge. I mean NONE. If you lose to an encounter ONCE its a lot.
My friends and I were 4 man questing on stuff designed for groups of six.
haha seen this coming worst launch in history of any game ever made.
Wow, can you be that stupid? The worst release of all time? Try SWG, or that WWII MMO. Those both had catastrophic releases. And at least Vanguard moved fast to patch the holes, now its pretty much fine to play. SWG was never quite fixed.
you vangaurd fans gotta realize the game is one of the worst games on the market, atleast the SWG was fun at release, i dont think this game will ever recover from that, and vangaurd isnt pretty much fine to play i still have my account open and log on occasionally. so dont kid your self and think its fixed...dumbass
I've been playing since the beta. I've crashed to desktop once. What lag there was in the begining is now gone. I've run into maybe a total of 10 quest bugs. I've had fun enjoying the game, not many problems at all. So yeah, within those first weeks, I'd say they pretty much fixed the big issues, and its a lot of fun. SWG, was NOT fun. Just about EVERY quest was bugged. There were vast expanses of randomly generated terrain with absolutely nothing but random mob spawns, with no purpose for being there other than filling the grass(Naboo was the worst) Entire tech trees were broken, things were obsolete. I left SWG in the first few months due to buggyness, came back a year later, and was shocked to see some of the same bugs still in existence. The fact that you think Vanguard is the worst game out there right now, shows either your ignorance, love of WoWkiddie style games, or perhaps maybe you're just the dumbass. At least I backed up my opinions.
I am shocked because at the time of release, my performance was very poor in the game. However, at the time of writing this, and as I said it has shocked me, I do not lag -at all- in the game. If I lag, it is very slightly in major cities and towns that are crowded; but I have found that this has also improved drastically.
It is why I have written about because the improvement in performance has been so incredible.

I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.
"You have the right not to be killed"
What is your physical limit?
That's just pathetic, and a testament to how the "potential" of Vanguard is not realized.
http://aion.24-hrgaming.net

I haven't seen screenshots yet of Vanguard that look impressive. The rocks look like plastic, the character models are poorly done, the spell effects are some of the worst I've ever seen, and the game is just boring. Buying an $8000 computer isn't going to fix any of those complaints.

In regards to timing, many enjoy this; as timing in Vanguard can be the difference between success, failure, death, or slight survival. The environment in Vanguard is not predictable as a result both of the massive amount of options (solo, group, etc.) players have and the vastness of the world. It is what I particularly enjoy about Vanguard because if something is not going well in one area or not working well for me, I can simply relocate and do something else.

its not the players fualt for not having a really good computer, hell even with a really good computer its kind of a hit or miss with performance beciase the code is so erractic and how it utilizes drivers. but as far as gameplay i kinda liked it,despite its oddities and brokeness id say one thing i didnt care for was crafting, it was more work than it was fun too many damn clicks to tedious, and mind numbing. the grouping was a bit broken, and found on the florendyl server groups were a bit hard after a while, my guild slowly dissolved as not many people were logged at any given time. despite having overall good performance and being able to have max settings the chunks were still a problem though for the most part 1-2 seconds pause, still gets annoying had some texturing problems due to 8800 drivers.
