Shadowbane in its prime, I can remember being in several 200+ on each side sieges.
Uhhhh, ya. They also ground to halt, crashed to desktop, and were unfortunately "broken". Not sure what your point is there. If you are trying to say there are other games that have done 300+, there are many better examples.
The first few months after Shadowbanes release I had, along with others the sb.exe thing. The thing was that people were playing SB on old rigs on high settings. Most people did not care to learn how to use the games settings to make the game run good on your machine. I did not have much of any real problems during large scale sieges, nor did my guild.
Examples? The only mmo's that have done large scale PvP with reason was SB and EvE. Name some off that have done large scale please. World of Warcraft... attack the king? DF sieges are carebear compared to the epic seiges that some have seen in the glory days of SB.
I am sry that I mentioned World of Warcraft, I just felt that WoW takes more skill in PvP than in Darkfall. Right click, right click, move and chase....... I am soooo hardcore. But, but, but DF has full loot.

Honestly man, I don't know all the ways graphics are quantifiably measured. I'll give you my best layman's version. Go to the advanced graphics settings in a newer game like Crysis or Age of Conan. Do you see all those settings for lighting, water effects, anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing, particle effects, etc? Those effects are all quantifiable because everything rendered to the screen is just numbers. Consider the rate of number x to number y pertaining to this graphical setting on max in this game A compared to game B, etc. Does this make sense?
Edit: I don't want to confuse anyone though- I'm not talking about the power of your graphics card to produce this stuff, do indeed mean what the game was designed to crank out.
You can't post in any game on this forum that the game you like is the best game evah without getting a dozen people to disagree with you, that's why forums exist, to dicuss and argue about games.

Ok but now the fact is the game with the higher res texutes and smoother animations has the better graphics.
Fact is doom 3 has better graphics than the original doom. See what im getting at you can judge quality of graphics in that way and it be fact....... Im not saying Darkfall has bad graphics, but its just not the best on the market...... Fact is AOC and LOTRO have the best all around graphics.
If darkfall would beef up the animations I would go as far to say that it would contend with those games. Cuz they all have good textures on High settings. Then it comes down to matter of opinion, because of the art style. In my opinion I don't like Darkfalls Art Style, as much as LOTRO and AoC would be my 2nd to LOTRO.
THis may be confusing but you can say in fact there are these games that have the best graphics but one cant be over the other because of the art style some like one better than the other. But in Opinion you can say one game is better. Sorry if it don't make any sense but it does to me.lol
I have played a very short time in darkfall. but I think it is the best MMO released. its no where near perfect, but it introduces so many great revolutionary features and the competition is WEAK.

And that is a completely subjective opinion, and you have every right to it. you have every right to say this games graphics suck, and I won't argue with you.
Just as those that say they are awesome have every right to there opinion.
So in your opinion the game with the lower res textures and less smooth animations would be the game with better graphics? Ok i'll give you your right to your own opinion thats cool by me.... Ok but now the fact is the game with the higher res texutes and smoother animations has the better graphics.
Fact is doom 3 has better graphics than the original doom. See what im getting at you can judge quality of graphics in that way and it be fact....... Im not saying Darkfall has bad graphics, but its just not the best on the market...... Fact is AOC and LOTRO have the best all around graphics.
If darkfall would beef up the animations I would go as far to say that it would contend with those games. Cuz they all have good textures on High settings. Then it comes down to matter of opinion, because of the art style. In my opinion I don't like Darkfalls Art Style, as much as LOTRO and AoC would be my 2nd to LOTRO.
THis may be confusing but you can say in fact there are these games that have the best graphics but one cant be over the other because of the art style some like one better than the other. But in Opinion you can say one game is better. Sorry if it don't make any sense but it does to me.lol
People said this same rhetorical crap about AoC and Horizons and every other failed MMORPG... Most of those people were the first to leave.
I have played a very short time in darkfall. but I think it is the best MMO released. its no where near perfect, but it introduces so many great revolutionary features and the competition is WEAK.
