You must care, you cared enough to post!

Because I like people to know when they discuss something thats really not worth discussing.

Well, not counting the plethora of terrible Korean F2P MMOs, I'd say that Champions Online is the worst MMO still active. I was surprised at how terrible it is, since I love City of Heroes. But I've at least dabbled in a staggeringly large number of MMOs, and Champions holds the dubious distinction of being the single worst MMORPG I've ever played.

Eve online for me, it had to be the most boring piece of shit I ever played, and the control was god aweful as well. To much menu clicking to get anything done. It just was not any fun to play. It was pretty to look at though ahd the music was kinda cool but those were the only good points when I played it. This is just my opinion though.

Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

gotta say I don't hate games easily... if something annoys me enough to make me leave.. well I leave then if they include good new content.. I come back.. but.. FFXIV was hand's down the worst I've ever seen.. thankfully they're redoing the game from bottom up..

Agree, Eve was the most boring game, ever. I had more fun with Excel than this game.

Mortal Online for been small pile of broke pieces. Nothing sems to work and it's boring grind in end.

It's all a matter of opinion, but saying "Worst" is a tad mis-leading to the throngs of lemmings on here.

This discussion should lean towards the entertainment value of the current MMOs.

So I am voting for the most  frustrating non-entertaining MMO I experienced to date and that is....

    The one I'm not playing.

Why should I type that? because opinions are like assh#4es and calling out a specific game is kind of shallow.

    Stop the hate.

Well said and it will probably fall on deaf ears in this frenzy of venom that seems to dominate discussions these days. It's not about substance any more. It kind of reminds me of a feeding frenzy of piraranah chewing the corpse too shreds of what used to be mmo gaming.

Since when is having an opinion hate?  One thing I have seen in MMORPG.com is the hate people have for anyone who has an opinion about a game that is contrary to theirs.  Say you do not like a game and 15 people will jump on you for not liking the game they love.   There is no hate here, I can dislike something, say it is the worst game in my opinion without hating it.  Hate is a very energy inefficient emotion.  I hate very few things.  Spinach mostly, after that it is all dislikes and likes.  Love is the same way, I love my GF,  best friends, God and country(oh and my cats) after that it is likes and dislikes.  Why does everyone have to equate dissent with hate?

    I HATE that(lol).

    Currently bored with MMO's.

What was your worst  MMO played?

It would be a split between MxO and SWG CU & NGE.

TQ Digitals Conquer Online. Game was awesome when it first came out, Then the Fucked it up by giving the ability to buy everything in the game you need practically Al a carte... I mean sure they used to have limited item store for like Dragon Balls and stuff. But it wasn't as bad as it is today. You used to have to hunt your ass off to find +1 items to level your Gear. Now you can just Buy what you want and goto +12 easily within a few days.

There are far to many bad, half-baked eastern MMO "games" (they should be called grind fests) out there.  I have played quite a few and have found that most are simply not worth remembering thier names.

Edit: never type when you need a pain pill.

Half baked eastern western nothern southern its not only limited to eastern mmo's, its a global problem, there good ones and bad ones.

    D&D i agree what a terible mmo.

But ive lately try in 2 weeks time around 20 different mmo's Free twoPlay  and its unbelievable how all manage have almost same kind grind and quests.

Majority all start in same kind of starter hub with same kind of quests.

Can't believe so many keep playing these games that have kill x boars/rats/rabbits or insert whatever mob you can think of its all same or the deliver this to from point a to b its disgusting almost all mmo's have same gameplay.

And this not limited only to themepark this happens to sandbox they all use same template of presenting quests and grind.

And these days there all so damn easy its realy pathetic a 6 year old can play all these games bah:(

How can anyone not say FFXIV?  The game is still f2p, which is changing soon.  See how well that goes for them.

One of the many asian produced F2P MMOs. I cannot grasp how some of those can be still running. Everything from UI to animations to quests were so horrible that I simply could not stommich playing it for more than an hour each time.

But worst big MMO I would say is WoW. It was such a huge dissapointment that I have to mention it in the worst MMOs ever played.

Not sure if I it has been mentioned but I'll throw a curveball and go with ArchLord.  By far one of the worst games I have ever played.

    Reasons why:

    1. By far one of the most grindy games out there.

    2.  Horrid story line and no direction in game.

    3. If you played it you know how bad the controls were.

    4. Cash shop runs the show ;/

    5. Major pvp gankfest on newb maps

6 Last but not least, best part was that the first ArchLord (think his name was IceCube) was supposed to get a full set of authentic armor from the company.  I cant remember what happened but they either said they sold it or couldnt find it.  So basically they told him your SOL.

These days most mmo's with cash/itemshops is for me gamebreaking games are just not as they use to be. Casuals complain the hardcore plays to much so they win and wanne have equal chance, devs granted there wish and make games super easy remove almost every hardcore element there is and on top of all of this they put in cash/itemshop.

For me it was probably Auto Assault or one of the random little f2p games I tried early on.

Least favorite... probably Warhammer Online.  A PvP game that has boring and pointless PvP.  The worst thing they could of done to that game is add scenarios.  And don't even get me started on the PvE aspect.

Followed closely by Darkfall.  Big open empty world.  I played for about an hour and saw a grand total of 1 other player and only a handful of mobs.  I'm a big sandbox fan (Eve is my favorite mmo)  but I don't see the appeal of this game.

I had a similar experience in the trial of darkfall, saw 1 other player.  Ran forever looking for a mob, found 1 and died trying to kill a small goblin because I had not enough skill to kill a lvl 1 mob. laughed and left.

    Mortal Online.

I bought this game thinking it would be a better version of Darkfall...and boy was I wrong lol.  It was basically like a game that was not even half developed.

Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?

Yeah Aventurine (Darkfall) decided that sandbox tools like player housing, vendors, etc. apparently weren't really necessary to create a good sandbox so just didn't put them in at release (they have housing now, though it's not very good).  The game basically devolved into a PvP action game.  It lacked almost everything that was good about the game it was inspired by (UO) but faithfully included everything that was bad about it.

Surprised to see such high quality games being listed as the worst MMOs, don't think many players have played that many MMOs if they think games like Rift are bad.

Personally I can't name one, having played so many f2p games you see a lot of really bad ones. In regards to sub based games, I would have to go with the indie titles like Mortal online, Xsyon, Earthrise. These games were just plain horrible, so much potential yet they ended up being just broken games. I was amazed how darkfall was able to recover, much respect to adventurine due to that.

Ouch, should have tried the open beta :P. MO would have to be my third worst experience, with the first still being vanguard simply because it wasn't exactly an indie project. I'm just glad I'm not seeing a whole lot of people mentioning Dark & light which means not a whole lot of people were taken for that scam.
