WOW 3 messages from you and they all say the EXACT same thing. Do you have the link? I believe they are in a "No Comment" mode ATM

EDIT - Here is some more up-to-date info for you from Bioware

So what do you say then to Lucasarts saying 'SOE has not lost the licensce and all the rumors going around are not remotely true"?

Secondly - there is no 'no comment' on the fact that they have officially said that their game will NOT require a licesnce.  SW does.

It's same crap every freaking time.  "SWG is going to lose it's licensce in February, that's why no pub 27!"  -  "SWG is going to lose their licensce in mid-Febrauary, that's why Pub 27 got pushed back! - "Well, what we really meant was pub 28!"

    Gimme a break.

Again I have not seen anythning from LA - Do you have a link? I do not think this rumor as stated is true. What I do believe:

    1. There is a tremendous market for a SW MMO.

    2. George Lucas would never allow a contract to be signed giving unlimited access to his IP.

    3. SWG and SOE is not meeting the demand mentioned in 1. As such, after what 6-7 years of SOE having a go at this SWG, LA must be searching for an alternative.

Torres posted on the SWG boards saying that the rumors of the licensce were not true.

"LA must be searching for an alternative" - why?  because you say so?  Who do you think pushed the NGE?

As for the links, I dug around a bit on Bioware's site but they've been buried, locked or deleted.  Just like they are on SWG's forums.

Tell you what - you provide the links that says Bioware is taking over SWG.  Guilty until proven innocent, right?

Well since the other thread got locked for some reason... I hate to speculate why.

Anyone have any info on the lineup of E3 this year?

Absolutely a "too good to be true" feeling.

I don't believe in this, I don't want to, because if I do I might just get extremely disappointed if it doesn't happen

Could bioware save swg? Could they bring about the original game with a ton of improvements? I dunno. I would like to think so..

If any of my friends from swg are here they would say that before the CU hit I was wishing for either Bioware or Bethesda to be approached by lucas arts to remedy the situation over there. Of course that didnt happen and either torres or smedley decided that this was the way to go. I can imagine that Lucas Arts was 100% behind the snafu that SWG became. Look at the crap he did to his own movies... Stepping on mini jabbas tail in the hangar... having gweedo shoot first etc etc etc. The changes he had made to the re-release of the original trilogy were enough to run off a good portion of the fans. Hell, when I first saw the ewoks I about puked. Lucas' storywriting "greatness" ended with A New Hope. Empire Strikes back was by far the best of the 6 movies but only because the screenwriting, directing etc were all done by true professionals not some 2bit hack job which lucas is. From Return of the Jedi it became a kiddy flick and his game has now turned into a kiddy game.

Finally I must come to the conclusion that SWG being left with Sony would be fantastic. There will be pre-cu servers in a couple months with NO dirty hands from Lucas Arts or Sony involved. let Lucas and Sony stay in bed together and rot for all I care. I am hoping for something truly revolutionary and great from bioware except of course some of the people heading the project are the same people that fugged up the original SWG with their willy nilly nerfing and adding in of overpowered doc buffs. These are the same people, that are working on Bioware's mmorpg, that introduced the hologrind and started the whole decimation of SWG. hopefully the doctors up in canada will bitch slap those wankers when they start going off kilter.
