I miss the hell out of EQOA...but I just can't bring myself to come back unless all the old areas are populated like they used to, and if going to Permafrost and killing Vox is still just as awesome and fun as it was years ago. There's no way that …
Ceremonial Vestment in EQOA. In no other game are items as truly rare (if there is I haven't played it) as they are in EQOA, and this one was certainly the most popular in EQOA. It was a robe with crappy stats, but melee could wear it, and that ma…
As someone who started with Asheron's Call, EverQuest, and EQOA, I can say that I completely enjoy WoW (to this very day) entirely more than EQ2. The reason is simple: I just don't have the time or willpower to inject into EQ2. In EQOA, for ex…
I listen to a large assortment of Genres, but my absolute favorite is Progressive Metal. Some favorite bands:
Dream Theater (Favorite band of all time. Always has been, always will be)
Porcupine Tree
Opeth
Death
Evergrey
Nevermore

For the record, I think my laptop trumps everyone in the "old" department:
Pentium M 1.5 Ghz
Nvidia 6800 128Mb
2 Gig RAM
And guess what....it runs just fine at normal. I even bumped some graphics a little bit. I don't know why TR r…
EQOA was also my first game, and no game since has even come close to the feeling I got when I first slew Vox, went LFG at Highpass, or even just went exploring by myself. What an amazing and completely underrated world. Complete shame not enough …
I play a large assortment of games on my Inspiron 9300, for long periods of time, and I've had no problems whatsoever. However, this might not be true for other laptops. I guess just try and see, and then take necessary cooling action should it i…
I'm only voting for Ron Paul as well (internet=win for Ron). He despises the federal government, meaning he would absolutely refuse to make the government even deal with the issue. But, if Ron Paul wasn't running, I would of course alter my decisi…
Surprisingly, the best exploration MMO I ever played was EQOA on PS2. The world was PERFECT, with an open world with many hidden nooks and crannies to explore. Its too bad not enough people play it; the world is absolutely magnificent and boundle…
Honestly, the best game I've ever played exploration wise is EverQuest Online Adventures on PS2. The world is huge and seamless, and there are so many nooks and crannies that probably have never been explored....except for curious ol me of course. …
I really don't understand why people feel its their calling in life to rain on other people's parade when, god forbid, they find a game thats FUN. Why do you find it necessary to come to a positive thread only to cause dissention? Have you sunk th…
EQ2 sounds like a good choice for you, except for maybe that you are a 99% soloer. While there is way more solo content than there previously was, you'd be better off grouping. That's just my opinion however. Its gotten so much better its unreal.
Up and running. I really like it, I like the overall vibe I'm getting from it. I've been looking for a game where I can actually explore, and I appear to have found it. Not terribly sure how to correctly build a character, but I'll worry about th…
Argh, I've been waiting for this for awhile now. They really need to hurry instead of announcing it and waiting a few weeks before actually going through with it.
OK well, I'm really pumped to start, but I've hit another roadblock...
What character is good for a newb? I know the combat is wildly different here and I'm afraid I'll gimp myself before I even get into the game. So what would be a good starter …
