I have to agree with OP, sort of. Not really about the whole long distance running thing, its a game, I coudl care less about realisti whatever..BUT the run animation is goofy looking, I dont see how anyone could say other wise. they look like thery…

Its not so much that they are ugly per se, but more so look outright foolish. I'll have to agree with the OP,they dont look bad ass, they just look BAD.

Yea, this game seems really interesting( i love sci-fi games!) I've been quite curious about the pvp in this game too.

The emotes in LOTRO are some of the worst I've seen...unless my memory serves me wrong, your character doesn't even "laugh" when you type /laugh, simply makes a laughing motion...
