Why would this surprise anyone? The game has had many years to refine itself and the MMO market is stagnant right now. Sure you have other AAA MMO's out, but they are pretty much WoW clones, so why not play a better version...

I prefer the NGE over the older version of SWG. The older versions were nothing but grindfests. SOE should have taken elements of CU/Pre-CU and implemented them in the initial launch of the NGE and it wouldn't have been such a harsh blow to the play…
