I would have no problem playing a class that did zero damage but has tons of support or healing. Bard and enchanter in EQ1 were my favorite classes. Their damage sucked but they could change the tide of battle with their utility.
The first hour is very important to me. I started my MMO playing going from Diablo on battle.net to UO. I thought UO was very similar to Diablo except with a ton of added freedom and loads of stuff to do. After playing all day i wanted to log on …
Ok so i found out that you do need to also have hardware T&L as well as vertex shaders in order to play and my intel 945gm does not have those. I did however find a 3d emulation program that lets me play crysis which also requires the same thin…
Sandbox is what all MMORPGs should be. IMO its what makes the genre unique. When you log onto a server it should be completely different than the one you usually play on. The players should shape the environment. I think Oblivion is a good exampl…
I guess another option would be to try and find a motherboard from another P105 series laptop and try to put it in myself. Some of the upper P105 models have decent Geforce graphics chips instead of these crappy intel ones.
About the whole dual c…
The chipset does not have hardware T&L. According to Intel :The listed Intel® graphics controllers do not support hardware T&L. T&L can be done by the processor (in software) with acceptable performance in most cases. Oblivion won't ru…

I'll have to check the specs on the video chipset and see if it has hardware T&L. I have a 1.73 dual core cpu. That means its basicly 1.73x2. It's faster than a 2.5ghz single core. Unfortunately right now im running Ubuntu Gutsy. I have Vist…
I agree with Liora. In WoW's situation most players are very selfish. There is no community. Guilds are only a way of getting more gear for yourself to a lot of people. You don't have to sell your own goods to other players you get to place them…
The whole point in a MMORPG is to play in an ever changing ongoing world with other players. Your supposed to role play your character. Is your character not supposed to sleep anywhere? Housing also gives you extra stuff to do as well as store go…
When I click "Accept NDA" and "Join beta" I'm not recieving any special favors. Im providing a free service to test their product. In other markets when you test and help a company finish its product usually you are compensated in some way. If t…
I broke the NDA for the Vanguard beta on these forums. I thought the game was horrible and felt people should know before plopping down the $50 and the monthy fees. I guess the developers over at vanguard read these forums because my beta account …
The companies developing the games are to blame. they hype up their game before its released saying " our game is going to be amazing! you will be able to do things never seen before! Look no further everything is in this game!" People get all ex…
Complain all you want but Blizzard has always taken a very long time to release extra content for a its games. Blizzard uses the quality over quantity mantra, and i think they have done a good job.
Anyone who chooses video games over personal relationships is missing out on a lot and its to bad they will never realize it. To me it shows that a person hides behind video games because they are afriad of what lies beyond. Video games are what t…
Alot of MMOs out currently don't take up that much space. WoW is around 5gb or so same with a bunch of others. New ones are closer to 15gb though. It really doesnt matter, hard drives are so huge now days. The bigger concern is where do they fin…
