It is has been awhile since I have played SWG, but I do remember the movement. My favorite movement was when you dismount. You move like 30 feet. Maybe we will get lucky and Bioware will add that innovation.

As far as server mergers not happening because it would waste players time and effort they put into the game, I never noticed that being a big concern with SOE anyway.
