I can already see this 'innovative' new combat system failing hard. From what it looks like, this encourages button mashing to a mroe extreme level. Everyone's going to have their one combo that's better than all their others, and so will only use t…
It's not like hulking female warriors in heavy armor isn't ever done. There are several examples in all sorts of media (female juggernauts from the Unreal series pops vividly to mind) of big, hulking women tanks. It's a really popular archetype. Tha…
Yep, same thing happened to me. I tried to come back to my 60 SAM and complete the lvl cap quest, only to find that my account was deleted, along with all sorts of high end gear (Hauby, sniper rings, you name it), several million gil, and, to top it…
Meh, my biggest complaint was the complete lack of variety and individuality. If you make a female elementalist, she will look like every other female elementalist of your level. That and the ridiculous grind really turned me off. However, it's fun …
The Chronicles of Spellborn is definitely worth checking out if your tired of click-and-wait, tired of gear based games, tired of high fantasy, hell, it's just worth checking out. Tons of info to be found over at tcos.com.
Well, I'm looking to pick up some new console games here pretty soon, hopefully that will last me a while. If you really want to appreciate WAR more, try playing some really terrible games.
Well, I was kind of watching PotBS from a distance, but after reading up on their fighting system, I'm fully on board. This is the kind of combat system that should be in every game! Distinction and variety with each characters, along with player fr…
Yep, we're in a dead zone in the market right now. You can either sit in your darkness over there, or look forward to things to come. With all of these major titles coming out, you'll find something you like.
Just a side note: How has Spellborn lo…
There are too many upcoming games for them all to fail. WAR, Age of Conan, Spellborn, Aion, Tabula rasa, Darkfall, Fury, Gods and Heroes, Huxley, Perfect World, etcetera etcetera. There's no way for them all to fail.
At least most button mashers look good while you're doing it... those are some of ugliest, least appealing character animations I've ever seen, and they're all so polished that I doubt they're placeholders.
I'll bet the developers don't want to keep working on a game they already made, but that's life. If you want a maintained, updated, cared-for world, you're going to pay for it. You do get what you pay for.
Well, that's kinda misleading about Fury. It;s like saying Unreal Tournament 2k4 has no end game. In theory, at least, once you reach the 'end game' you're at the highest level of competition, ready to engage in some really intense, skill based batt…
Just a little food for though; a study conducted by an economist and Indian University estimated the total yearly domestic output of online games to range from seven to twelve billion dollars, putting online game GDP into the range of that of Nepal.…
