This is why if I play FFIV I will be avoiding pugs to avoid the "I need that! (in case I decide to level class x, 6 months from now)"
I simply don't trust the average pug to act fairly if something good drops, there is nearly always at least one n…

As long as DF turns a profit, it'll be a success in someone's eyes.
Not the people who invested in it, I imagine they would be looking for a return of at least 10% per year of investment, if the game returns a pro…
Xsyon will have terraforming as a feature, as well as seasons that affect gameplay.
I think the other features you ask for are either unrealistic, or far to expensive in terms of development time to realistically ever appear in an mmo.
One MMO coming up soon is Xsyon, a post apocalyptic MMO, with an impresive set of features.
Not much info is out at the moment, but doors to a pre-release are opening in a matter of days so more information should be available then.

I don't know why so many people are worried about a scam, your credit card covers you, if the game turns out to be non-existant it'll cost 1 phone call to get a refund. Surely it actually would be more profitable to release a game with a small subs …
Point 1. No, I think that would be a really poor business model as MMO pricing is pretty much a standard acrross the board, double your prices you will alienate way more than half of your potential customers, for an MMO to be worth more than a stand…
I'm pretty sure the dev said that there would be further penalties towards being evil to keep this in check, the devs do understand that there is a strength to being evil in the freedom you get. It has been stated that if the good evil balance gets …
Xsyon in theory sounds an awesome game to keep an eye on, but more information is needed as to whether or not it can deliver what it promises...

I guess it's all going to come down to how viable is soloing going to be compared to an efficient group, if it is 40-50% of the exp rate in a "good" party you can do stuff when you don't have a group, but it still rewards grouping. If soloing is the…
Regardless of WHY people "gank" or go out to pick fights with no risk to themselves, my experience of FFA pvp has been pretty much a waste of time, max level people hanging around low level zones hunting newbies to one shot. I'm not moaning about it…
It depends on if you feel you will be able to compete with WoW in terms of polish and marketing, if you can go down the instanced route and try going toe to toe. A "niche" non instanced game could easily support a population to make it considered a …
wow satisfies the needs of many mmo players, the ones who like the easy levelling, the ease of of crafting, and the repetitive, yet not challenging end game (together with the meaningless tacked-on pvp system). It satisfied me for a while, and comin…
I liked VG the way it was, I liked the fact you had to be careful in a dungeon and wiping hurt. It meant not wiping was an achievement and was rewarded, screwing up and dying hurt. I know some people want to be rewarded no matter how poorly they pla…
I cite the same reasons as to why I am not playing, Lack of Content above level 40 and NO content for level 50.
I play these games to develop and improve my character, to see and beat new content and play with other similarly minded players, d…
Agree pretty much with the review, a few 10/10s were possibly a bit overzealous but there are some very nice aspects to the game, I really enjoyed playing the biggest downside for me was no endgame content, and none in sight for the next 6 months t…
Tried Hellgate:London, and while it's fun it lacks the content to keep me occupied for more than a couple of hours a day so decided to have a look at FFXI.
I heard reports that the economy got completely ruined a while back, how realistic is i…
I played Vanguard and put up with the performance, it wasn't as bad as most people claimed, it was annoying at times, but for the most part it ran OK (it didn't run well, but it ran well enough to group without serious problems MOST of the time) The…
Thanks for the feedback.
The theme i seemed to get is: Finding a healer is a PITA and a necessary evil
Why is it that in MMOs people never like to heal? Sure healing is repetitive and most of the time thankless, (The only time you get feedback…
