I also read from other sources that there are items which may drop only in certain maps and there are also drops from monsters with certain levels. Enchant boxes for example are level based and not monster based. Anyways thanks for the answers.

Odds are extremely low. If you're not having a huge overflow of boxes, then don't. I don't know if the odds are constant for every type of equipment box. After Insect Equipment boxes, the items become more valuable though.
