It is just too persistant and common of a claim to think that it is untrue.

Thats strange havent sen any this week or the last. And i never ahd any problems with CS either yet im not part of a alliance let alone a majour one.

2005 was the first year they started to use automated responses, like the typical MMORPG mentality CCP and EVE said they were out to change. Unless I was mistaken, it was also the year of the big ISD scandal.

C'mon lets be realistic. What evidence do you have of this? That is pure speculation with no basis! Of course there are the odd few that have an unhealthy obsession with the game. This makes sense since more people PLAY WOW than EVE. As mentioned before, WOW is a game that aims for a broader playerbase. To clarify... More people voted on this website for WOW than for EVE, unfortunately eve got better results. People liked EVE better. More people heard about WOW. But wait? didnt I hear someone say that more people who play EVE subscribe to MMORPG.com than people who play WOW? ....

These are reader choice awards. Whoever is a member of this site can vote. I don't see how it's unfair or anything. If you like a game, you will vote for it, if not, doesn't matter what people say or post, you won't. That's the way these awards are setup.
In the end, they're not an absolute measure of how good a game is. There is no such thing. So just vote and see what happens.

There is such a thing as being realistik after all there CS department then was answering 1000's of messages then and getting 1000's more per day because eve was on extended downtime server crash etc [due to a memory leet if i remember which has since been fixed]. So of course they couldnt respond to each post with loving care and attention
And as for that So called scandal with ISD it was 1 person who was caught and permabanned quickly. The news was posted in the roleplay form for dramatic effect.
If this is the true reason you left then i feel sorry for you whining over such a small thing. Especially considering how things have improved since them lag wise [as in i get virtually none now and what i do get is hardly noticable and doesant harm my play]. Also of course ccp are adding more data nodes and have found a way to reduce the causes of ingame lag by over 50% by finding a way to get rid of travel bookmarks
So as always eve is improving.

And this is a guarentee...How? You don't know how many of those EVE's ratings are rated by EVE players, and you don't know how many of those WoW's votes are made by WoW. your theory is flawed.
Point is the other games dont do well because those games dont get the same level of community/Developer support eve gets.

I never said it was unreasonable for them to cut corners with CS and service. In fact, it is very reasonable for a game of that size to lose a bit of the personability.
All it shows me is that EVE and CCP is just another mmo, from just another mmo company. In other words, nothing special. Typical, just like the service I get from SOE, Mythic/EA, or Blizzard. It is what we who are not blind fanbois and paid street teams already know, and is easy to see once someone pays a non-refundable $20.
I'm not even saying that it is necessarily bad, but it is certainly not anything special like the EVEangelists make it out to be.

Ahh now this i do agree with With large fleets causing lag i guess what you will have to do is just wait till after Kali is finished t see if as promised these problems will be sorted out. And just so you know what they are doing to fix lag in kali....
making warp to 0km at gates and stations therefore amking bookmarks obselete for travel.
disabling all existing bookamrks so you ahve to make them all again [excluding the gate ones and station ones].
Repalcing the 32 bit software arkitecture with 64 bit.
Adding 10 new data servers.
Adding even MORE tools to monitor data trafic so they can see whats causing Lag [ which is why they ahve done what they did to Bookmarks as it apparently is responsable for over 50% of in server lag].
Stress testing to see why fleets cause so much lag and making fixes for it.
Stress tests concerning POS's same reason as above.
I think thats the main stuff if there is anything else by all emans add to it.

Sorry but that is the issue here the devs support the community by validating that palyers post abut voting here and basically asked us to support eve. What dev wouldnt do that i ask.
And we support Eve by voting here because we love this game.
And people ahte us for this and use that post the dev made one year ago as first proof.
WoW devs, L2 Devs, UO Devs, FFXI Devs, EQ2 devs...want me to go on? Because none of those MMORPG's have devs making a sticky about MMORPG.com awards, neither do any of those devs post it on the main site.

This doesn't have anything to do with "support". it has to do with CCP who wants more awards, because, in case you didn't notice it yet, there is NOTHING in it for the players. only for CCP.

You know what you say here would actualy ahve some factuality to it if EvE only had 1 award [and that being from MMORPG]. Fact of the matter is EvE has severall awards from differnt sites magazines etc ranging over the past 3 years.

Actually shouldnt had said boring game as I think it's decent still. Left mostly because constant server lagging, having fleet bigger than 100+ would be lagfest etc. Winning these awards sure wount make CCP to fix these any faster.
I never said it was unreasonable for them to cut corners with CS and service. In fact, it is very reasonable for a game of that size to lose a bit of the personability.
All it shows me is that EVE and CCP is just another mmo, from just another mmo company. In other words, nothing special. Typical, just like the service I get from SOE, Mythic/EA, or Blizzard. It is what we who are not blind fanbois and paid street teams already know, and is easy to see once someone pays a non-refundable $20.
I'm not even saying that it is necessarily bad, but it is certainly not anything special like the EVEangelists make it out to be.

Ahh now this i do agree with With large fleets causing lag i guess what you will have to do is just wait till after Kali is finished t see if as promised these problems will be sorted out. And just so you know what they are doing to fix lag in kali....
making warp to 0km at gates and stations therefore amking bookmarks obselete for travel.
disabling all existing bookamrks so you ahve to make them all again [excluding the gate ones and station ones].
Repalcing the 32 bit software arkitecture with 64 bit.
Adding 10 new data servers.
Adding even MORE tools to monitor data trafic so they can see whats causing Lag [ which is why they ahve done what they did to Bookmarks as it apparently is responsable for over 50% of in server lag].
Stress testing to see why fleets cause so much lag and making fixes for it.
Stress tests concerning POS's same reason as above.
I think thats the main stuff if there is anything else by all emans add to it.

Wow, this is simply amazing. you actually think the only reason CCP made a post on the mainsite asking to vote , and made the thread a sticky is to support that poster, Despite the FACT an EVE developer made the exact same thread last year. Actually i agree with what you say here. Differnce is that on the forums the devs actually try and get on with us and even support us at times including on the topic of voting on MMORPG.
