I dont care about Ed, I dont care about Darkfall but after such response I would give DF 1/10 in next review. I would be also interested if that isnt some kind of breaking protection of personality (even if everything is covered by EULA I can imagine).

Man this is just prime popcorn material!

Never seen something like this before really.

It would be basically the same thing when all the sudden Hollywood Film Directors start publicaly attacking movie critics for giving their produced movie a bad review.

    LOL! Just LOL!

It just shows what kind of idiot Tasos really is. He is just a complete dissaster for his own company. And so pretty much sealing it's fate!

By jumping out like this... acting like a 12 year old kiddie crying... he basically only plays into the reviewers favor and proved his review right.

And so in the end only doing more and more harm to his game.

    Cheers

get a bigger bag of popcorn.

The next review from eurogamer will, I suspect, make the first look like unending praise.

I thought , despite how bad he portrayed the game, he actually went easy.

If someone truly wants to bury this game with a review, comparing the actual in game experience with the sales page for the game is far, far worse.

As would be mentioning the 'customer service' you can expect if you givew Tasos your money.

he should have kept quiet. Because I think now its going to hurt.

Uh oh did I hit a nerve Darth?  If you all were really as "hardcore" as you think.  You'd actually be emailing or writing letters to Eurogamer.  If you were really as "hardcore" as you think, you would have been the bigger man and ignored the review.  What does the DF community and specificly Tasos do?  They "QQ" on the internet about how they are being bullied and belittled.  When push comes to shove I guess for the DF community.  Just sitting on various forums, and in their game "QQing" about it, is enough to recharge their e-pride.

If you are so sure his review is wrong.  Get another credible PC mag to review it.  Because all this "QQing" from you so called "hardcore" people, isn't going to wash away this moment.

It's more like a flash mob than a popular uprising but the humor of it isn't lost on all of us.

A hell of a flash mob lasting over 7 years now and counting.  Go back  to how how ever small and sad your single player game is.

    Well said!

Even in EVE this utter childisch behaviour doesn't happen on a scale as in DFO. And EVE has a hell lot more people playing it (over 300k now).

But it just shows how the DFO playerbase really is and so only proves the reviewer more and more right.

I only hope that DFO actually survives and stick around, so more childisch brats can go playing it, so in turn our experiences in our MMO's only get better.

    Cheers

After I read all of this I have two questions
    1. Darkfall is advertised as a sanbox, so, when sanbox definition was changed to be: a game that only could be played as the dev think if you want it to be fun, all other ways lend to boredom and garbage
    2. It have been said many time that one ofthe great features of Darkfall is that you could do anything from the start because you dont need to lvl to endgame to be fun, so, when was Darkfall changed so now you need to play hundred of hours to reach the fun part of the game?

    1. Don't get what you are asking but all the areas and content is accessible to you the moment you log in.

    2. No you don't need to grind to reach end game.

Why does Tasos even care?  I just went to the darkfall purchase site and still can't buy it.  I give it a 0/10 :D

You mean religion or what? They are usually the only ones that gets so nuts over nothing.

To me it seems like DF is not a game but a religion, and a small nutty one. Anyone else would just ignore when a reviewer dont share their point of view.

Shouldn't you be playing darkfail instead of trying to bully these forums?

Tasos and the fanbois are invalidating eurogamers reviewer because he didnt play the game how they think it should be played (joining a clan and been involved in clan warfare) and because it spent what they think is a short time in the game. So, with that new description of Darkfall in mind is why my questions where made

So you wanted the reviewer to play more and get that score down to 1/10?  If the reviewer had played longer they might have had an issue that required them to contact AV technical support.  And we all know how much higher that would have boosted the reviewer's score.

If that were to happen, then so be it.  I know time and money are limited, but I don't think 9 hours is enough to review a MMO.  Reviews after such short time playing is how flaming piles like AoC was at launch get high scores.  Funcom knew reviewers probably wouldn't play much past Tortage, which even critics agree was polished and well done.

Well, you pointed out the difference between AoC and DF at launch:  AoC actually had a good starting area...the rest was incomplete.  DF, on the other hand, doesn't even have that!  It's empty through and through.  AV should have at least made a decent starting area...

Look, I was as up in arms about this review as anyone.  If you go back to the first 17 or so pages you will see that, but let it go for a while.  Eurogamer is doing a second review.  Let the second review get done and go from there.

If they do a second review, I would be pissed.

Means they don't have the balls to stand behind what they said in the first place which was the truth.

Don't backtrack now, what is written is what is written, stand behind it.

It isn't an "If".  Kieron Gillen is doing the review.  He's highly regarded as a video game reviewer.

Newspapers print retractions all the time, they don't just stand by something if there is a chance it's factually inaccurate.  People who play this game say that it's inaccurate so they are covering their bases.
