it isn't a horrible game. It does have some redeeming qualities. I give them this they attempted something new that is more than most can say. Granted the game is mediocre it still can be fun.
And people wonder why Darkfall have so many hits here on MMORPG.com?

Darkfall has just as many limitations. Im currently a new player starting out, and Im extremely restricted right now due to my skills, or lack there of.
Most vets can 2 - 3 shot me, I have 0 chance against them. Very few mobs othere than trolls or goblins are able to be killed by me yet (unless of course you count exploiting).
So no... Id have to disagree with you there.
Darkfall is a good game, but its far from the best. I'd even say its not the best in its genre, I believe EvE is a much more polished version of darkfall.
Darkfall may turn out to be a good game once AV gets it polished, but its still pretty damn rough around the edges.
This game is the best out there.I have no doubts.

I played the top 10 at this website. and this one is the best EVA.

In Darkfall you can kill Goblins as a noob to collect money, armor, and weapons. Usually in less than an hour you will get but raped by veterans on mounts and full gear. SIGN UP TODAY!!

DF is really an odd game. A game without enough players to fill a server, but got some ardent supporters rampaging here blowing idle trumpets 24/7. Now I understand why the world of DF is so empty, everyone is here.
Is DF so boring that they have to play here after subbing to a so called game?

It would appear that Admin here figured out a way to disallow the Twitter hits.
Either that, or DarkFall fans just stopped clicking on it.
For the past week or so, DarkFall has been middle to lower end of the top 10 on the front page... right where they were before the Twitter feed began.
Hopefully MMORPG.COM got what they could out of the increased exposure before the well went dry. It was a decent run though.
Nah, DFO isn't the best. The best is EVE, and DF goes right after it...

Don't know what your smoking, but can I have some? The graphics in this game are top notch. It definitely has its own style and exudes a great eerie atmosphere in game.

I personally feel they are the only two games even worth sub money at this point. How sad that is when this site lists almost 400 different games.

I personally feel they are the only two games even worth sub money at this point. How sad that is when this site lists almost 400 different games.
That means enough people thinks otherwise and hence 400 other games to satisfy the bigger chunk of the market and only 2 games for ffa pvp small market. Its just a reflection of the proportion of people who see ffa pvp as worth sub money.

Three games actually if you include Mortal Online. And thank God we have some options to chose from. There is no doubt the playerbase of this type of game is smaller than the spoonfeed themepark players out there.

Which in itself is an ironic statement considering how long DF players were able to macro level skills without any effort at all come launch time. Doesn't get much more spoonfed than that, eh?

Sure I know I'm not among the majority when it comes to my taste in games. But you need to realize that the majority of those 400 games are quite petite in population. So it is kind of sad. It's like having hundreds of TV channels and only ever watching a handful.
I understand that most people like games such as Aion and WOW. Unfortunately for me I do not. Quite honestly have you spoken to any WOW players (IRL) about mmos? With the exception of one guy that me and some friends convinced to play EVE, none of the many I have met had even heard about any other mmo. A lot didn't even care to discuss the topic.
I'm not as sure as you are that the kind of games that I enjoy could not become more popular in the future. Perhaps when WOW winds down we'll have more people shopping around on sites like this. Who's to say they may not have realized just how many choices there are when it comes to mmos.

I'd love to see some concrete numbers proving otherwise, but for some strange reason Aventurine doesn't seem to be very vocal about the so-called success of there game anywhere but on there own forums.

Darkfall has changed a lot and for the better. It is currently much better to level up on mobs. Sounds like you are stuck in the past.
