Well you didn't list why these games are better.
Eve I know, and it is a good game. The space equivalent to darkfall with many years more of updates.
Mortal online currently cannot hold a candle to Darkfall. Maybe in one or two years time assuming Darkfall does nothing to improve upon itself as well. It is going to be a good game and a welcome edition to the genre. (I'm a beta Block A player).
Ryzom, no comment since I haven't played it.
Fallen Earth I have heard many good things about it.
It's your opinion that Darkfall is the best on the market, but mine says it's not. Despite what each may say, we love what we play and think what we think.
Except that a disproportionally high percentage of DF players need to come here and talk every day about how great their game is. A few thousand play at most and yet they were more visible here than inside the game.
Just out of curiousity, With any form of truthfullness and touch of reality how can you say a game with less then 20k subscribers is the best on the market? Obviously alot of people disagree. In fact i'd be hard pressed to think a MMO i've played thats ever had less then 20k subscribers? Perhaps Shadowbane before it closed down, but even Ashrons call last i heartd had more then 20k subscribers. Simply put if Darkfall is really all that good why are so few people playing it? Its not like Taso and many of the more rabid fans haven't preached enough about it. The fact that Df fans continue to feel the need to post falsehoods like "Darkfall has been established as the best game currently on the market" is just sad.
Its a nitch game for a select few, that really isn't anymore hardcore or special then several other games already out on the market. Truely if you looked the world over you'd probably find at least 20k people who find watching the spin cycle on a dryer entertaining. So really Df is just a different stroke for different folks
You are talking like you are an investor not a player. All a player needs is a full server. Darkfall has this although it is a huge world that can hold a lot more. The updates and expansions are occurring regularly. Darkfalls niche is getting bigger.

Whoever "you" is...why would "they" lag when the 4 others don't lag? That makes no sense at all. Either it's a laggy ass game and all 5 of the above are lagged...or some newbie with a bad connection lags and gets killed. Then comes and whines on some forum
Honestly though, think of a better reason to say a game sucks than to give a story of how you got ganked.

I also think we really need to wait and see how things end up a month or so after the incoming expansion before we can gauge how this game's future will be.

What when did this happen and are you High or something DFO is horrible.
I listed a bunch of points (and can list a bunch more) of why I think it is the best. Please go through and refute them all. Don't come in here all high and mighty when you bring nothing to the table.
What you didn't list is any reaasons or better yet facts to prove that it is "Blatantly obvious" or "Established" "that Darkfall is the best MMO on the market "(currently) You did post your very subjective view on the game which truely means nothing really. I mean really who are you? Why should we trust you that Df is the bestest ever? For all we know your Tasos or one of his many professional beta testers that made sure the game was bug free at launch. Your mom might care what you think but most of us would prefer facts.

Nobody knows if the game will survive, only time will tell. I certainly have no regrets forking over the cash for this game.
I did it twice two months ago. Once with Darkfall, and once with Fallen Earth. FE was cool, just not for me. One outta two isn't too bad.

Fun games are played. A gamesforum popularity does not mean the game itself is good. I'm sure many that post here have never even tried Df. Thus number of posts is meaningless

Its a simple fact you state, but to me it speaks volumes more about the game then all the "Darkfall is the bestest game ever" threads I've seen posted here.

Just so you know I havn't only played DF and EVE. Believe it or not I've subbed to LOTRO 3 times, just for something different. I've played many of the P2P mmo's.
