They cant even (apparently) give an official announcment on when the LE boxes will be sent. And evidently dont have time to update the last post promising the boxes would be shipped in late January.

I just read that thread, everyone responding to him was flaming him for wanting the box before release. If the version they ship out can update to the newest client I do not see the problem. The other boxes cant update and are worthless, but hopefully the new dvd with the LE boxes can update.
I cant believe that after 10 days they still will not give any updates on what is going on with those boxes.

I agree with you there, I am just trying to figure out why the fans are attacking someone asking while it MIGHT be possible for the LE disks to be updatable to the newest version. The first boxes were shipped with a worthless dvd, but if they put the newest installer on the LE disk, why are the fans attacking him? Do the fans know that the LE box is not going to have an updatable disk inside?

It is honestly starting to feel that way. Not giving updates to the community is starting to remind me of AV right before Darkfall came out.

Probably.. They could do what Aventurine did.. Get a " buyer " from another country - Move to said country - Get a new name while keeping Star Vault as an existing company - Continue to get investments ( cannot be touched if someone came knocking ) - File bankruptcy with Star Vault when able.
I really hated on DF but mostly for things that werent implemented (that I was really hoping for) so it was more of my expectations not being met... DF Beta was 200 times better than this mess.

Mods AND Developers... but the community seems to like that. I guess it makes the game more "hardcore". I was reading a thread today on the MO Forums where a moderator responds to a post by calling the OP a QQer and having a cocky attitude and then when the OP didn't respond he started a series of taunting posts like "Fall asleep at the keyboard OP"?
It's a shame.. I really wish that SV would sell out to a legitimate company that can turn this baby (and community) around into something resembling legitimacy. As I said before... what's the worst thing that could happen? A publisher pressures for an early release? LOL

I read that as well. Yeah, thats actually the post that prompted me to sign up here (found a link here on their forum lol) I was just going to go on my merry way until I read that- Its like, the game is an unplayable mess, Patcher doesnt work, website not updated and a plethora of major problems- And that Mod had the nerve to say that (and the time to post insults but not give answers or update the site) -Yup- If they sell to a competent company who puts some time and care into this- It could be rescued. I anticipate a broken release (to meet contractual obligations after excuses run out with investors) and let it die.
dont think it will release broken just about th e same amount of content wise maybe a bit more tot he pve and combat. but there kinda stuck until they fix the lag the Ai seems to cause most of it but there still a few people getting hit with the lag so we just have to see
What I played was totally broken (not including lag)- Maybe others are having a better experience but I cant see them fixing the present problems I saw anytime soon.

Yeah reading through this thread(among others) is bringing back memories of Realms of Torment/Mourning. Devs lashing out at players, deleting posts, game not shipping with players having paid for it, and so on.
They aren't quite there yet, but if they keep heading down this path it could turn that way real quickly.
Keep in mind it is rather dated, and most of the links no longer work, but the gist of the scam that was Realms of Torment/Mourning is very telling. I see a lot of similar things happening with MO.

The game seems interesting, but the beta kept crashing too much for me. Wishing them all good luck and I'll check back in half a year.
