Yes.. exactly. From the best I can make out he is trying to say that SV has already told us (in the TOS) that these people won't get billed, but they can't announce it yet because the Board hasn't decided how to make the announcement. Of course if this was true it wouldn't NEED an announcement (Why have a Board announcement to announce something that was published 10 months ago?)
A new TOS? I haven't read the full TOS from 10 months ago, doesn't it refer to everything in a future sense? As in "when, when and when... this or that happens.."? Such as the fabled " pick a cycle, before you're subscribed" debate that has been ongoing throughout this thread.
It would make little sense if that is the case, to keep the same TOS (mentioning pre-order, beta etc..) for a live client. I'm only taking a stab in the dark here, but there are possible alternate scenarios aside from those of the nefarious nature.

SV will fail, they don't have what it takes to create and run a MMO successfully. The money is just going to run out, as the player base shrinks to a few blind naive fools clinging on to this game in hopes of it becoming how they dream it to be.

how would you know you been charged the subscription if
1. the game has not released yet.
2.the game has one free month for all subscribers.
3. auto resub can be turned off.
so its easy to say that you will not get billed when the game releases due to the free month in which that time you can turn the auto resub off later which is just like any other game like world of warcraft to darkfall.

Please read the thread. SV is apparently ninja subscribing all people who purchased the game. A large portion of which never chose a subscription type or duration as stated in the TOS. When they bought the game almost a year ago there was no subscription option.
This is NOTHING like World of Warcraft or any other game I have ever played.

And please read what i said, which makes these rumors false.
and if there was no subsciption option then, then can't they just sign in and turn it off, because if i remember right its not sv who have to be the ones who ask everyone a bought it a year ago if they want to sub or not because if they are buying the game then isnt it right that they want to play the game??? and also they have 1 free month in which then i bet they will get a email and also if they bought a boxed version then they will get their cd aswell.
and also the game has not released so im sure the ones who did not like the game will try it again and then they will make sure they will not sub again.
And you are wrong, when you sign up to world of warcraft auto resub is already there depending on how you pay. if you pay with a debit card/credit auto resub is already on and you have to cancel your subscription for it to end if im not mistaken and also is it not the same with xbox live when you type in your credit card details the game auto renews your xbox live subsciption anyway.
As the new TOS will clearly state in their first paragraph, once you create a game account you will auto-subscribe for a month (or whatever billing cycle you picked).

old people was auto subscribsed aswell and so are new people. what is it you are trying to exactly say?
we all the one free month anyway so they can just disable it, jesus read what people say!
Despite my problems with how SV develops, and how they market (hype and lies), this really seems to take the cake.
Slapshot pointed out something in another thread that I felt deserved its own place, and that is the auto-renew feature that SV has set up in place.
Lots of people bought MO, played it, and have written it off entirely. I'm one of those people, obviously -- but my entire guild (7 people) plus many others I've encountered have no interest in playing it at launch. Several of my guildmates have moved onto different games and things, and don't pay MO any attention. For those people, and people like them -- they are set to auto-renew their subscription whether they want to or not.
How is this even ethical? Sure, SV may say "oh well you had the option to turn it off" but nobody here said "I accept" to a subscriber agreement yet, have they? They pre-ordered a game. They did not SUBSCRIBE to that game.
This is just another in a series of lows that SV is setting the bar for, and I honestly hope that somebody gets burned by this and sues them. Because ultimately, that's what it will come down to. And I tell you this much -- I don't have the option to manage my account as I'm "banned", if I billed for anything when the game launches, I will certainly sue SV. And yes, I actually have the funds (and a company subsidized legal plan) to do it.

moral of this story. don't pre-order.
i do not see why people who ordered it a year ago should not have auto resub anyway, lol??? whats the difference everyone is still preordering? cause im pretty sure the game has not releaseed yet and if they do not like the game after the free month they can just cancel it now on then. its not like your going to get billed at release lol.

The autorenew to my knowledge is just for the people that have recently bought the game (Which when you buy the game, there should be a option to not autorenew during the process of buying the game.)

Seems like a real crappy way to treat the people whom took a risk suppporting MO by preordering.
Even "if" their plans are/where innocent, choosing to ignore/hide the requests for verification are disturbing.
A lie which is half a truth is ever the blackest of lies.
your questions got answered by the community, theres nothing wrong in what sv are doing, its the standard for mmo's to sub you anyway.
mmo's are a susciption based business model, trying to say sv are in the wrong is like saying all other p2p mmorpgs are wrong.
