    I don't play the game so I just wanted to ask you a question. This Invincible mount you speak of, does it let you use it for all your characters or just one? From what I've read in this thread the new mount allows you to use it between all chars you have, PLUS future ones.

    If Blizzard has a 'similar' mount in game you can quest for it isn't so bad, but still, paying extra money for a skin that you can't get in the regular monthly sub just doesn't sit right by me.

    Nobody complained when the zebra mount was only available out of game (recruit a friend).  Nobody complained when the spectral tiger mount was only available out of game (WoW TCG).  Even better, these two mounts have no 'similar' mount in game at all.

    I simply don't know about these because I don't follow the game that closely. For me to jump into WoW would require me to buy a bunch of expansions just to catch up to the existing playerbase. The game is simply not worth the money sink to invest in IMHO. 

    Now, adding to that, if you want specialty items you must pay extra for them on top of your sub and on top of all your expansion purchases. It's  just one more reason I won't bother with WoW.

    There are plenty of special mounts and pets and shit that you can get with ingame gold and rep. What little they've released onto this cash shop so far hasn't been anything special, either.

    And thus we come to the point, which is the only ones bitching about this are those who don't play and for most wouldn't play WoW no matter what (ie: the minority).  I'm not even seeing whining on city trade channels, which for the most part is nothing but people who complain. 

    I don't know if I characterize the mount as a 'specialty item', especially now that you see a ton of them in Dalaran.  You don't need the mount, nothing about it furthers your character in game.  Even the 'status symbol' aspect of it is lost now because everyone and their brother has one.
