Btw about your post earlier.. I haven't played single player games because I find them far too easy. I hate paying $60 for a game to have it completed within only a few days time. Although they are incredibly fun, the short term satisfaction is a complete turn off. The main factor of MMO's for me is that they don't really end even after beating the end game and there's an open community to be a part of and socialize with... LOL I remember a time I was bored before I played mmo's and asked an NPC how how they were doing. Boredom does strange things, but yea the biggest feature I love with online games is making friends and socializing.

It is a sad day for sure, that when considering the sad state of the economy, greedy companies like Blizzard are already filthy rich and trying to bleed gamers even more dry.
What's even more sad is the pathetic gamers who will vote with their parent's credit card and create a false representation of who actually pays for Blizzard's ridiculous scheme.
I will never support pay to win games, even if it means not playing a game at all in the end.
They're pretty much "isolated". No one forces any anti-P2Win to join those games, so what's the biggy?

On topic:
I think game developers should try to think out of the box.
Imagine P2P game:
Just create 2 types of servers.
Servers type A - subsciption + item store - to all players who don't mind spending cash in stores , p2w ,etc
Servers type B- higher subscription fee but NO item shop at all
No character transfers between this two server types.
Problem solved.

Yeah I can see your point about SP games. I've bought like 7 SP games in the last 3 weeks or so and I've hardly even played them at all...blasted Steam promotions

Some are awesome and provide lots of playability though...Oblivion for one offers tons of playability and the mods give you megatons more.
I feel like you probably would like a good sandbox MMORPG more than anything. One that doesn't focus on the grind but instead focuses on the gameplay and player interactions.

Than you don't watch. If some people enjoy P2W that's their business. If they were to propose to turn a P2P in a P2W on said game's forum i'd go nutts on em but for the rest i rlly don't care. I enjoy my games and i let them enjoy theirs. There is no superior choice, only a different one.

They could be on the same server, just don't allow any contact, trade, grouping, and don't render the loser cheaters.

You're watching soccer, one player pays $20 to win a goal. You approve of this? Only a retard would approve of this.
If the league was created with the specific rule that allowed players to do so, yes I would have no problem with it. You fail to understand that when playing a game with a cash shop, players who utilize it will always be catered to.
The only thing you need to understand is that YOU don't need to participate in P2W games.
Ok first of all you're doing it wrong.
If someone gets shiny items from a shop the game is not rigged, the other didn't consent to lose and might actually win. He increased his odds to win and that's correct.
But while we're at soccer. Do you know that good players are being sold and bought for millions everyday? Isn't that exactly the same. Would you say: this match is rigged, Team A just bought this uber player for 10 million.
You could also say the team didn't get better through practice and experience and just bought themselves a shortcut to the high league.

Uber player didn't win by paying the goalee $20 to stand aside while he kicked the ball past him. See youre rationalizing this behavior, look at him rationalize tihs behavior.
Neither does someone who used the cash shop win a pvp match by paying his opponent to lose.

It's only becoming socially acceptable because society has degraded. You're suppose to fight against societal degredation, not embrace it you know.
You're completely missing the point. If the game was designed around an item mall and pay to win or whatever. They aren't going to have the same mechanics as a stupid soccer game. You're ability to process anything in that mind of yours is completely amazing... You make people in special ed seem like they got PH.Ds
Player walks up to goalee, puts $20 in his pocket, goalee stands aside while player kicks ball past him and wins. CROWD CHEERS AND GOES WILD! You don't see something wrong with this scenario other then the fact that it only occurs in the twilight zone?
A game is a game whether it's a football game, a board game, or a video game, dude. You don't cheat dude.

And paying for an item in an item shop is just as much cheating as buying a new player for your soccer team, thus not cheating.
It is only cheating if t's against the rules.
