I say don't even bother trying to argue with him. He just wants to flame.
Btw about your post earlier.. I haven't played single player games because I find them far too easy. I hate paying $60 for a game to have it completed within only a few days time. Although they are incredibly fun, the short term satisfaction is a complete turn off. The main factor of MMO's for me is that they don't really end even after beating the end game and there's an open community to be a part of and socialize with... LOL I remember a time I was bored before I played mmo's and asked an NPC how how they were doing. Boredom does strange things, but yea the biggest feature I love with online games is making friends and socializing.
It is a sad day for sure, that when considering the sad state of the economy, greedy companies like Blizzard are already filthy rich and trying to bleed gamers even more dry.
What's even more sad is the pathetic gamers who will vote with their parent's credit card and create a false representation of who actually pays for Blizzard's ridiculous scheme.
I will never support pay to win games, even if it means not playing a game at all in the end.
You cannot fail at wasting your life. It's just that you are pretentious enough to think your way is the only "winning" way. If someone wants to p2win it's their own problem.
It's only their own problem if they are isolated from the rest of the normal community.
They're pretty much "isolated". No one forces any anti-P2Win to join those games, so what's the biggy?
Fere libenter homines id quod volunt credunt. Among those who dislike oppression are many who like to oppress.
Posting on the forums, if you were to see the times I post they are very very far and in between. I very rarely go on forums.
I can see that from the fact that you've been a member since 07 and I have more posts. That doesn't make it appropriate for you to insinuate I neglect my family, friends or business. Or that I lie about my age or anything else.
I am not pushing the industry differently
This is where I believe you're wrong. Buy buying cheaply replicating icons you're telling the industry that the practice of gutting the 'game' from games is acceptable by default. You provide the only thing that is necessary to encourage the industry in this direction - extremely cheap profits. Just like all these companies hopped on the MMO bandwagon because Blizzard was making a killing, they're hopping on the F2P/buy to win bandwagon because the profits are just crazy. You're buying icons with a simple equation from people while accepting the fact that they can make your purchase worth less or worthless at will. Anything you buy from an item shop affects the game world. Clothing: Crafters. Buffs: difficulty of mobs and frequency of drops. Weapons and armor: the people that play the game for the game, not to blast through because you have more cash then the next guy. This causes the devs to build in grind - affects everyone.
Pft not at all... I wouldn't buy potions on an item shop, I'm too cheap for that. I'll just easily farm them myself or not use them at all... erm that was in response to what I seem to have missed as your sig. Meh.
I would never flame a company for trying to find a way to make profits, they are in the business to make money. How they go about that is their business, if you don't like it then don't give them any... Yes it's what the world is coming to and the only way it'll change is if they stop making money. Want a business to do as you wish, make em broke and give them a profit they will be your slave.
I buy things in item shops to advance my character, not directly cheat in battle by having infinite health. I do have morals...
THAT'S THE POINT IN DIABLO! YOU GO TO THE MOO MOO FARM AND....FARM! YOU BUNCH OF FREAKING PRO Pay2Win LOSERS!
Playing video games is for losers, I admit it I waste my time like a loser playing video games.
Purchasing gold in a video game is for complete losers, total losers, a waste of oxygen, those who need to be exterminated or sterilized.
Why are you even on this site? You obviously don't got the mental capacity beyond the cows you were speaking of earlier. If you don't got something half intellectual to say then please stfu and go somewhere else...
You don't have the mental capacity to be able to breed.

Yeah I can see your point about SP games. I've bought like 7 SP games in the last 3 weeks or so and I've hardly even played them at all...blasted Steam promotions .
Some are awesome and provide lots of playability though...Oblivion for one offers tons of playability and the mods give you megatons more.
I feel like you probably would like a good sandbox MMORPG more than anything. One that doesn't focus on the grind but instead focuses on the gameplay and player interactions.
Sorry matey, i don't play P2Win games. But unlike you i'm not the reincarnation of arrogance and go nutts on the whole concept.
You're watching a minor league baseball game. One team spends $1,000 to win. Wow how interesting.
Than you don't watch. If some people enjoy P2W that's their business. If they were to propose to turn a P2P in a P2W on said game's forum i'd go nutts on em but for the rest i rlly don't care. I enjoy my games and i let them enjoy theirs. There is no superior choice, only a different one.

Sober up. You would not enjoy it. You're letting politics poison your thinking process again.

What does politics have to do with it.
And i didn't say i would enjoy anything. But i don't enjoy watching soccer on TV, yet i don't go telling the millions of people who do they're worse than losers and all that.

You're watching soccer, one player pays $20 to win a goal. You approve of this? Only a retard would approve of this.
If the league was created with the specific rule that allowed players to do so, yes I would have no problem with it. You fail to understand that when playing a game with a cash shop, players who utilize it will always be catered to.
The only thing you need to understand is that YOU don't need to participate in P2W games.

Ok first of all you're doing it wrong.
If someone gets shiny items from a shop the game is not rigged, the other didn't consent to lose and might actually win. He increased his odds to win and that's correct.
But while we're at soccer. Do you know that good players are being sold and bought for millions everyday? Isn't that exactly the same. Would you say: this match is rigged, Team A just bought this uber player for 10 million.
You could also say the team didn't get better through practice and experience and just bought themselves a shortcut to the high league.

Uber player didn't win by paying the goalee $20 to stand aside while he kicked the ball past him. See youre rationalizing this behavior, look at him rationalize tihs behavior.

Neither does someone who used the cash shop win a pvp match by paying his opponent to lose.

You're completely missing the point. If the game was designed around an item mall and pay to win or whatever. They aren't going to have the same mechanics as a stupid soccer game. You're ability to process anything in that mind of yours is completely amazing... You make people in special ed seem like they got PH.Ds

Player walks up to goalee, puts $20 in his pocket, goalee stands aside while player kicks ball past him and wins. CROWD CHEERS AND GOES WILD! You don't see something wrong with this scenario other then the fact that it only occurs in the twilight zone?

On topic:
I think game developers should try to think out of the box.
Imagine P2P game:
Just create 2 types of servers.
Servers type A - subsciption + item store - to all players who don't mind spending cash in stores , p2w ,etc
Servers type B- higher subscription fee but NO item shop at all
No character transfers between this two server types.
Problem solved.
