The 16MB NVidia Vanta card I have right now is what came with the computer and I haven't upgraded it yet...it's essentially the equivalent of a GeForce 2
last i remember was that the Gefores 2 was a 64MB videocard....i could be wrong but you might wanna look it over. Geforce 2 was pretty good but compare to the newer videocards of corse its garbage.
The thing about buying your system from a company is that they rip you off with the important things people dont pay attention too such as - RAM, and your videocard. Normal people buy from companies because the company gets flashy with big screen monitors and high processing speed..(thats the only thing normal people look for) but they get really stingy on the RAM and Videocard which is more important. Anyways, i already gave you my suggestions.
On a totally new topic, i got into the RIsk your life beta (yaayyyy) but i didn't get into the beta i really wanted to (World of Warcraft --booooooooooooo). Even though idont like the name "Risk your life" for an MMORPG it looks pretty decent.
Alright, after updating my video drivers today I went into the NVidia Analog Display (the main screen, basically) and it says it's an AGP card. Now, I know there's the chance that it's got some sort of an adapter to fit on my computer if my computer's slot is PCI or, uh...even VGA
Originally posted by Gunblade Here you go... Plasma and LCD displays create images differently. By understanding those basic differences, you'll know what to compare.
Plasma TVs apply voltage to any of more than a million tiny chambers filled with neon, xenon, krypton, or argon, or a combination of the gasses. Using a matrix of wires to "address" specific chambers, the gasses ionize into plasma that emits ultraviolet light. Light strikes red, green, or blue phosphors coated on the inside of the chambers, and a pixel emits that respective colored light.
LCD TVs work passively, shining a light behind the LCD panel. They include the same number of pixels as a plasma display, but the pixels are colored red, green, and blue. When voltage is applied to a pixel, using a matrix of wires, the pixel becomes dark and light can't show through it.
Well what i know, is when u touch a plazma or lcd screen what ever the hell i have, the area around it go's crazy for like a few seconds, switching colors like mad.

Oh well, it's not as if I have the GeForce 2 itself, I have one that's equivalent to it in processing power and whatnot.

When we got this computer 3 years ago, for a company direct it was really good.
But our old computer was/is a 1GB hard drive, 100 Mhz, 24 MB RAM computer, so we were natually really happy to get the upgrade.

But let's just assume my computer has an AGP slot
