Someone listed the changes that have taken place over the past couple years. Only reason for changes like that to take place, and continue is greed, Not because theyre suddenly going to make a completely different game. But thta is the excuse people convince themselves of.
It would be one thing to have some sort of working universe or game world and then sell ship models one could actually look at in a 3D environment. But they basically sold jpegs of said ships with no game world at all. Now that the game world exists the ships dont, at least 90% of them. So where are the ships? Even if you cant use them (no sense in whatever that thing is they are calling an alpha) but having a hanger with all the ships sold would be a nice start.
Then they give people a 'gift'.... the ability to spend another 2500 bucks LMAO some gift. And people eat that shit up.
Sad thing is all that money could have been given to a company willing to make a game. Imagine what CCCP could have done with a hundred million. If anyone doesnt think EVE 2.0 wouldnt blow anything out of the water that is going to be labeled SC is high.
Imagine what CCCP could have done with a hundred million.
CCCP is a russian abbreviation for the Soviet Union
CCP is Crowd Control Productions, the makers of Eve
On little letter makes a big difference.

A lot is riding on this game. With 100 million comes a lot of responsibility to deliver. Thus far that has not been done. People are wondering where's the game and where's the money.
I cannot speak for others but to me it is not about hating a game, that is just silly. What i don't like is how Chris does business,he obviously comes from a background lacking in morals. I don't like people supporting bad business practices,it encourages more of the same.
Having said that ,i don't lose any sleep over it at all,i really couldn't care less, i merely take observation of the point and convey my feelings. I should remind and seems i or we need to often do this because people always think they know the user making posts. I hope the game turns out great , i really do,i want gamer's to be happy playing it,all good to me,like i said i don't like Chris personally but everyone is allowed to have their own opinions.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Because they charge literally 100 times what other games charge for similar digital goods. And yes there should be ethics in pricing. Contrary to popular belief greed is not good... I enjoy watching greedy bastards fail.

I see the game and company crashing like CR has done in the past. When Wing Commander was made he was 1 of the guys involved. He had others that would reel him in and make him stay on track. But like was said by others, he has no work ethics and doesn't care about keeping promises and making the game he promised. I really believe he will regret it this time when the game crashes and the company goes belly up. People can walk away if they lost 60 to 100 but the others that lost big bucks 20k 30k and had marriages fail, I would not want to be CR then.
Personally I would love to see the books and know exactly where the majority of money went. I do believe it went places it never should have.

But @CrazKanuk ! It MUST BE TRUE. @Brenics said so and he got it from a most credible source, an anonymous Reddit forum post ! HOW CAN YOU DOUBT THAT ?!?!1?!
I hate SC because of Erillion. Pretty much the only reason.
Agreed... He has been a non-stop crusader since day one. Extremely annoying. In reality, I do believe he has at least contributed to the negative comments regarding Star Citizen.
He has left no alternate opinion from anyone untouched without constantly providing the "truth" according to him. When someone pushes that hard, people tend to take opposite sides and push back.
I hate some of Star Citizen for the following reasons:
I hate their finance model (ship selling, whale enabling, alpha cash shops) I hate that they tie pre-development to income raised (chasing a moving target) I hate Roberts for his blasé attitude (regarding any and all complaints) I hate Roberts for his lack of gratitude ( nearly a week and not a peep for $100 million) I hate Roberts for his lack of organisation and 'wing it' approach I hate the community for their smug, self-congratulatory attitude I hate the community for their spam I hate the community for cheerleading a company making money off them I hate the communtiy for being fools and believing that this time will be different

2. If you are a backer you should not be. you should move on to a different game, life is too short

Stop to say "hate against Star Citizen". You people always use this against criticism because your perception is that Star Citizen = Chris Roberts or Sandi Gardiner or Ben Lesnick or Ortwyn decisions.
People can criticize or even "hate" (since the SC fans love the word to sensationalize) George Lucas, but love or hope for a better Star Wars, all things considered, like "not better at any cost" for example. Can't you people see the difference of one and other?
And nobody hates those individuals as person probably, except those that really were offended by them (some ex-employees or consumers), but in general criticize their attitude, their professional attitude and how they are ruining the project due their decisions, totally questionable in terms of reasons.
Money does not equal to success. It can mean a bigger fail.

Sure, but you've been relentlessly stating that SC will fail since this argument ramped up months ago and you haven't shown a bit of objectivity. You still believe firmly that it will fail regardless of the fact that what is out right now in Alpha 2.0 is, essentially, ED in it's original state. It could ship today, be a horribly buggy game, and still make incremental releases. Sorry, but the failure of SC is not written in stone as you think it is.
to be clear I am 100% neutral on this game. I dont follow it.
Having said that even though I dont follow it I see constant posts hating on it. including even videos that made legal claims that turned out to be nothing more than advanced form of trolling.
why? I dont get it.
Your definition and usage of the word and concept of "hate" is what's flawed. This is a perfect example of why political correctness is a lie and a deception and how People now use the word "hate" is a fantastic example of how a majority can be completely wrong.
Get that buzz word "hate" out of your head for a moment and just look at this from all angles objectively. Star Citizen if funded as the old MMOs were would have been an absolutely "crack of the bat homerun" success, much of the objections seem to be mostly the choice of using Crowdfunding, and specifically how it's been applied to SC and it's development, that's the problem some of us are having with SC.
It's not about "Hate" and never has been. The use of a word in such a manner just artificially polarizes People into opinion extremes for absolutely no acceptable reason. No debate should be won in such an underhanded manner.
(Star citizen itself is a brilliant set of ideas for a Space MMO and an answer to the desires and cries from MMO and Science Fiction fans for years. My own objection to SC is simply how Crowdfunding is being used in this case.)

So... Alpha 2.0 (a pre-alpha, almost prototype level considering the objectives of the game labeled as "alpha 2.0" just for marketing purposes) is out and you are trying to say that SC is a success? I guess Alien Colonial Marines is a huge success then. So much for objectivity.
ED in it's original state??? I don't know what this even means, or if you are living in a cave.
You take a lot of conclusions about how I think but clearly demonstrates that does not know how I think. Putting thoughts and words in my mouth seems your game.
Objectivity was something that definitely I shown many times here sir... not all the times because a lot of them are opinions indeed. But, in your case, you just shown opinions, not facts... or try to make research to prove the wrong points as I remember one of your posts these days, if I remember correctly, about Kickstarter % of fails, and taking the wrong conclusion that the fails does not affect the trust, and that would mean that Star Citizen fail wouldn't affect crowdfunding (ignoring the most important variable of this formula = that SC is a project with much more visibility/cash than any other of those which failed)
Here's another, even more recent example of your "objectivity":
"You still believe firmly that it will fail regardless of the fact that what is out right now in Alpha 2.0 is"
which means absolutely nothing to determine the success of Star Citizen. In fact, many could agreed that it is just helping to realize that it will fail. Still you used the word "fact".
So, if you want to criticize others for lack of objectivity, which is just your flawed perception and your wish to defend your beliefs no matter what, learn what objectivity is.
That is a common problem with CIG advertisers like you. You just twist things. You don't discuss anything. Just bring silly arguments and silly replies. Typical of people just living in denial or just a typical advertiser, like a politician who keeps accusing others of doing what he does.

This is the biggest reason to hate the community, anyone that says something bad about the game/company they are attacked. Here or on the official forums. They think it helps the game but a lot of us think it helps to cover up any problems with the game. Considering Chris Roberts is the one that tells these people to attack and like a pack of dogs they obey.

People tend not to like it when someone is late. Would you like it if your partner takes 2 hrs to do make-up and make you miss 1/2 of Star Wars?
Well at least they seems to be back on track now with the release of alpha 2.0
