Why do much hate on Star Citizen?

Hating... that's a minority... but people like to throw the word hate around so easily.
A lot what you see is just disappointment and criticism.

We'll see what we get in the end... but it looks less promising with each few months. Think it has a high probability that we'll end up with a half finished game that doesn't run particularly well. That being said: I'd like for them to prove me wrong... after all, I'm a backer so it would be in my benefit. :p

    1. I dont believe you are a backer. Having said that I have trust issues from being on internet forums too much.

    2. If you are a backer you should not be. you should move on to a different game, life is too short

    Here you go - http://imgur.com/rtuTvP7.jpg

I'm quite happy to compartmentalise so while I might dislike all of those things I can still look forward to the game itself and playing with others who do not fall into those categories listed.

help me understand how that image remotely prooves anything.

I have seen some very high level obfuscation, outright lies escalated all the way to the court system by people who just flat out hate SC.

Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

Your definition and usage of the word and concept of "hate" is what's flawed. This is a perfect example of why political correctness is a lie and a deception and is a fantastic example of how a majority can be completely wrong.
are you trying to say the word 'hate' is politically correct? or is your mind on something else and it really has nothing at all to do with the conversation at hand?

'you people' and 'hate' pretty much are in line with each other
No. It just refers to the group of people with the common line of thinking of presuming criticism to the project, as "hate", for which I explained in that post that its a confusion, caused by their passion for Chris Roberts probably, with the game itself, in practice, been secondary.

    Clear?

so yeah....the word 'hate' has a meaning.

and I would say falsely accusing SC of illegal hiring and firing practices to the point that a journalism site believes the claim is pretty much solid hate.

I would also consider using divisive language like 'you people' is  hate or at min. very close

You're certainly right about having some trust issues then.

See I don't think that way at all, I think that the focus of the hate (including yourself) has been on CR. Also, I think that the hate or "criticism" is completely unfounded. You rarely, if ever, bring up factual or even reasonable information that someone couldn't refute. It's ok, though, I have a 10 year-old at home who has a real issue with accountability too. It's always everyone else's fault. So I've grown to accept that all I can do is continue to ask for him to take responsibility for his own actions, same as I do with you, son.

I don't know of anyone here that falsely accused Star Citizen of illegal hiring and firing practices.

Still, the accusation that you refer was directed to an employee of the project. Not the project. The person who did that probably does not hate Star Citizen too. (I highly doubt that even exist a person in the planet who hates Star Citizen, as an idea, a project/game, etc) But hate the person who offended her or him, whoever the person who told that is.

For example. A lot of people hate Derek Smart. But they don't truly "hate" the games of Derek Smart. They just don't like those games. That's it. Or even like them, but hate the attitude of the man behind the project. Maybe the Derek Smart was a bad example, for people like you. Maybe I should use EA instead. People  hate EA, but EA deliver awesome games too that people play and love. But probably they will continue to  "hate" EA anyway... because the company's attitude, more in the past than now actually.

See? You proven my point in that post by yourself. You can't differentiate one from another and that is what lead to your confusion, and assumption that criticism or even hate is "against Star Citizen". Nope. It's not.

It is like window shopping but when you look at the price tag of the first item, you're like ya I'm in the wrong store.

As you can get all ships in game after launch day,  for in game money without the need for real life money, the price tag is 30$, a basic pledge package.

I am pretty sure that he knows that. But as many, they will considering outrageous such offers. It tells a lot about the company. Just that. It's like finding a reason to do not trust in that store. I think that is the point of the  majority of people. They know, in most of the cases, that they can jump in paying U$30. And many just consider that as a bait too... a practice that many people does not like.

By the way. Paying U$ 30 for a Star Citizen package is just bad business, considering that the game has no ETA or clarity that will be finished. But if people want to risk, they are obviously free to do that. I just don't recommend. And I am not alone.

For those willing to follow it, they can do that anyway, for free. If the reports of the fans and CIG are true, this game is in no need of money. So, just wait to be finished and buy it, or at least, wait for the point that they have a stable build with capital ships flying smoothly, working without crashes and with many people at the same time. Then, that would be a sign that they will be able to finish their game as promised.

I hate some of Star Citizen for the following reasons:

I hate their finance model (ship selling, whale enabling, alpha cash shops)
I hate that they tie pre-development to income raised (chasing a moving target)
I hate Roberts for his blasé attitude (regarding any and all complaints)
I hate Roberts for his lack of gratitude ( nearly a week and not a peep for $100 million)
I hate Roberts for his lack of organisation and 'wing it' approach
I hate the community for their smug, self-congratulatory attitude
I hate the community for their spam
I hate the community for cheerleading a company making money off them
I hate the communtiy for being fools and believing that this time will be different

But I am still a backer...
You are a backer yet you asked a friend of yours to give you his a account in order to play SC 2.0.

I told you some days ago: L2 lie on the internet without making a fool of yourself.

No, I am trying to say that how people using word "Hate" now is unnecessarily polarizing SC. One of the goals of political correctness is to take words and make them into buzzwords that polarize, it is done on purpose and a method to artificially control conversations. That polarization is hurting the discussion about SC in this case. When someone starts a discuss with "why you Haters..." that is the equivalent in Debate to "I will speak my mind but won't even listen to your opinions at all"... a declaration of verbal war with no hope of reconciliation.... so why start this thread at all?

But rather than assume the OP didn't want to debate this topic I instead chose to assume the OP does want to discuss SC and why some People seem opposed to it and so I offered a solution that would allow civil debate... I pointed out the use of the word "hate" is it is mostly used in current culture is counterproductive to the debate the OP desired and it would be wise just to stop using the word "hate" in the context it is and try to focus on a more objective and respective manner of conversing.

The phrase "You People" and the word "Hate" are NOT the same or in line with one another in my opinion, however I choose not to discuss that topic here.

    Hope that answers your questions.

You forget the grey market and people hope they can sell the ships they bought there. So buying all the ships in game without the need for real money is going to be interesting. Lot of people have used that as an excuse to buying up digital ships so they can make money once game goes live.

Now watch how fast am attacked for saying that. :-D

'you people' is divisive language pretty much by the exact definition of the words themselves.

what word would you like me to use instead of 'hate' that will not offend your delicate sensibilities?

The best I can bar making a video of course, or letting someone else log in, and I'm not allowing that :)

The thing is you give me no way to disprove it, you're saying that the burden of proof lies on me despite me offering proof, it's assuming I'm guilty until I can prove myself innocent.
Why would I go through the effort of lying or making up screenshots? what the hell have I got to gain from that?

It's strange. You don't sound like a person that didn't back this game. I think that everyone already noticed that.
I mean, you try to accuse people that criticize the game as been not been backers. Require proof that they are when they claim that they are.

Still well... looking to your attitude, your answers, and using your same logic/line of thinking reflected by your comments, you definitely are a backer and probably a whale. Or maybe just one of those guys of the grey market making money reselling "limited ships" with benefits.

In any case, been a backer or not is irrelevant and does not mean anything about defining people who criticize or defend the attitude's of the company, or, as the fans, specially, confuse, "the game".

In most games seldom does the hype meet the reality of the actual game, especially when it first comes out.  I wish them well as I love successful MMO's.  It's good for the craft in general.
