Pantastic, if you've proven anything, it's that all fanbois are tools. You are using the same methods the devs use in proving one point to prove the opposite point.
We have known that about Pan for a while now...

Jayde has said "Raid Content is the most difficult therefore it gets the best rewards" and you still say that Raiding isn't going to give people an advantage.
I think it's important that people know what they're paying for before they purchase a game. And saying that this game doesn't give advantage to raiders is mis-information.
EDIT: Mis-read some posts. This is more accurate.

raiding will only give a smaller advantage and raiding wont be a big part of this game
it will give a smaller advantage then a game like WOW would
thats the thing we will just have to wait and see how 'small' this advanatge is. Hopefully pvpers can earn just as good loot via blood money or player crafted materials will be fairly affordable. but if they force the crafters to raid... anyway hoping they dont mess up- they claim pvp is a huige focus for them hope that dont lose sight of that
Some of these idiots think factions=epic battles...
WoW proved THAT wrong...
Also a faction system will NEVER have the same kind of personal likes/hates that YOU have decided to make rather than a "default" setting of "you fight these guys" "Why?" "Shut up and fight them!"

AoC is going to have full pvp servers where you can pvp anywhere. I've been researching them both.
The pvp is going to be very different in each. AoC will have real time pvp, and it will involve much more skill for example on your key pad or controller or xbox360 controller (its compatible w/ xbox technology) you can do diff moves like a thrust or overhead attack and such. Also you can attack multiple people at the same time.
The way war is going to work in AoC on the normal servers is you will have a large area where all the leveling and some temples and such are. There you can XP up your first 80 levels, which doesn't take long. In addition there are 20 pvp levels which you can get whenever, you get these by killing other people in the massive boarder kingdom where all the keeps are located. The way keeps will work is once you capture it there is lets say a 6 hour window or so when your keep becomes vulnerable to being attacked. There are also towers.
Cities in AoC also add a sort of age of empires feel to them. Other bands wil build up next to your cities and plan on raiding, Your guild needs to keep them down at all costs or they can destroy your cities.
Personally I like AoC (and it comes out bout 6-7 months earlier then War) So can always try out AoC for 2-3 months and if you don't like it plenty of time to beta test War. The gameplay and graphics though are sick for this game, you should really look at the videos alpha players released of them playing. Then go watch War. AoC is MUCH better.
War is going to be more RvR, similar to DAoC, adding the addition of being able to attack enemy cities. It is 100% pvp always it seems. The graphics are somewhat lacking imo in comparison to AoC. Just check out the player videos for both.
Also you gotta remeber Funcom revolutionized the gamming industry with its release of AO (which is still pretty damn good for a game running on a game engine thats 6 years old, hence the lag and average graphics due to today's scale). AoC is going to become one of the revolutionary MMORPGs of our time.
And the best PvP items will be purchased through blood coins so who really gives a damn?
where is the Dev post that says this? the Dev post I have found do not indicate this. I want to see a Dev post where they promise blood coins will give me the best loot . I want to see the post that says outright blood coins give me better loot or exactly equal to what raiders/crafters get. I've been finding conflicting info on the conan boards.

Actually WoW proved that Blizzard sucks at PvP. Nothing more, nothing less. WoW PvP could be good. Imagine if every zone in WoW had an area designated to PvP instead of just the battlegrounds where you play capture the flag and other pointless games.
DAoC had Factions and they had an RvR battle in '95 that had close to 1500 people in it. And in DAoC you had siege engines and such. Coming from that and the fact that EA Mythic are saying that they're trying to "one-up" their own RvR system I think it's safe to say that
Mythic + WAR = epic battles.
To the person that was questioning epic-ness of battles that happen every night. In WAR the goal is to sack the enemy's capital city and you can only do this once you control the zones between your capital city and theirs. It's going to take a lot longer than a night to take over those zones, so yes the epic battles in WAR will be sacking an enemy's capital city.

So I guess because WoW gets something right/wrong that means no one else can do it better?

I agree with alot u say I will checkout the siege and other features AoC brings to the table. I think they're all the right track. one minor correction- WAR can be 100% PvE if you want. you do not have to pvp unless u want to. Just a minor note there thanks

No, it's not. There was no "Warhammer series" when the first Warcraft game was released in '94--the first Warhammer game didn't hit until the following year, and was as big a flop as Warcraft: Orcs &Humans had been a success.
True, there were Warhammer tabletop games, starting in the early eighties, but they're not startlingly original, either--a combination of previous military sims using miniatures and dashes of D&D and Tolkien.
At any rate, there's never been a Warhammer MMORPG before, WoW's been out for three years, now, and if the upcoming Warhammer MMORPG looks and acts a lot like WoW, it's because it's imitative of Blizzard's game. Any other suggestion is absurd.
Personally, I'm reserving judgement until I get to play it, or at least hear from some people who have.

It's a thread on the WAR forum here on mmorpg.com that links to a very very well written player's experience of playing WAR at one of the games conventions. Enjoy.

well in words of a a man i met at the COMIC CON last year while i was playing a demo for WAR "WoW took a lot of things off of Warhammer and we were really upset about that, were not trying to make of a copy of WoW, even though people will see it that way, Warhammer had been a long a very long time ever sence the figures you would play on a table"

unless wow can come out with a new expansion about ever y year to a year and a half the game wil get boring. only reason i think Guild Wars is doing so well.
if i remember dungeons and dragons online also said it had a realistic combat where u pressed certain buttons to dodge roll and hit different ways. when i tried the free trial though it was the exact same as every other mmorpg combat system. so if AoC pulls through with the combat system it will be cool
I think both games will be great. Although I am liking AoC more for its orginality as far as what is avaible now. Through its features and several other aspects that appeal to me. If you still like the elves, dwarfs, goblins and that sort then W.A.R. is the way to go.
I'm currently playing DAOC and I'm looking forward for these two games. I find both interesting but I must admit, I'm more attracted by AoC innovative gameplay rather than WAR Epic battle. The reason being that RvR is quite often a simple zerg and that's not the moment I like the most in RvR, I prefer when just a couple of groups are fighting each others and when each single player really have a role in the final victory. I prefer ambush, hunts, commando like attacks... That's why it is not necessarily a bad point if AoC won't offer large scale battles.
Anyway, I hope both of them will be the next gen uber games.

Blizz themselves have stated that Warhammer was the inspiration for the look fo the Warcraft RTS's
Warhammer has been out for over a decace, closer to two... If I rip you off by making a RTS based off of your ideas for races and artisitc inspiration, then make an MMO out of it I'm STILL ripping you off... even if you them make an MMO...

How epic does a large battle feel if you have one every night compared to maybe once or twice in the total time you play a game?
Also large battles seem to favor the aoe classes, where as a goblin shaman casting foot of gork or gork's warpath would probably be pretty fun
