Rasptin is your standard rabid fanboy for the time being, ignore him if you can. He is acting like a child and I am fully aware he is not a child. He has gone something like this:
This review was BS (10X or so over and over... NO hotbar used! Imagine WoW!!... - Guess what buddy, WoW auto has skills in the hotbar to know to use them and they are important, DF doesn't have a tutorial at all to explain anything. If he played it more I am sure he would of figured it out, but for Tasos to blame HIM for their games terrible design is hardly credible)
Then he went to Blocking people (You're so stupid I can't read your post but... wait, I am going to read it everytime anyways)
After that he tried to argue AoC will fail and DF will rise with no facts (does the standard "I have experience in games, therefore I can predict the future... more or less saying playing games for 33 years, it somehow makes him a fortune teller)
Then he started directly attacking people...
Then came the very popular "I am superior, I don't know why I waste my time" (But then like the blocking, continues to "waste his time" arguing with everything in his path)
Then comes the lies out of his mouth (pulling 14 euros when its clearly not, inflating the subs to 20K which is unlikely and based on nothing, saying 14 X 20k = 280K/mo is ALL profit ... apparent never took an accounting or finance class or understands business concepts)
This is your standard fanboy (doesn't matter what game you play) you want to avoid at all costs. Don't look him in the eyes, don't communicate with him, it's similar to talking to a wall. When the person never once posts any facts of any sort in ANY argue and resorts to "I am better than you" instead, you know you have a narcassistic fanatic that will only make the world seem a little darker when you engage such a person in conversation.
Also, for people on the fence for people like this thinking maybe they know what they are talking about, there is an easy way to tell they are full of it. Someone posted it before, they are "Mr. Credentials". They say things like "I played games for 33 years!", "I played every MMO, especially in this case, UO!"... etc etc. Actual intelligent, logical people would let their knowledge speak for themselves when they post. If you have to constantly show your creds and fight off 20 people at a time when NO ONE is agreeing with you, you might be wrong. Something to consider anyways
And to end this debate maybe, it's called METACRITIC people. If DF is good, the overall average score will be high. The 2.0 would effect it surely, but if it gets 10 other 9.0s, the average will deduce a very good game. This review did seem overboard, but that is how he felt obviously. He had no reason to have an agenda against this company or this game, the only person with an agenda here is Tasos. I wouldn't give the game a 2/10, but LOTS of people here agree with it and what the reviewer said that have played the game, so whether he played it or not, apparently lots of people that have played it for many hours AGREE with him.

BS. He is in no way desperate. They have way more demand than they can meet - what is there to be desperate about? I understand why he reacts against unjustness though. We would all do that.
I call BS on your BS. Those are the words of a desperate man who saw a bad review from a "major reviewer". And please, give me the solid proof to back up the, way more demand than they can meet statement? I need logs, written statements, so forth and so on...oh wait, you don't have that proof. That's a shame. All you have to offer is your own perception, and what people are guessing is happening. Some say the game is dying, others disagree, yet not one of those people has factual proof.
Yes, people often do react against "unjustness". The key here is, that he is the "professional" face of AV, and should act as such.

You sincerely don't know why they can't do that? If they can't have open sale, how the hell do you think they could have free trial?
What is your own estimate of your IQ?
I can think of many reasons they don't want a full-release.
1. They can't even handle one server, and don't have the team to support two.
2. The game is so bad, allowing it to be purchased by those with reminaing F5 keys would truly overrun the fanboi's spew of trash and the game would go down as history (quicker) as the worst MMO ever.
3. They don't have enough money because their product sucked. This is accompanied by the fact that Tasos is an complete idiot and lied repeatedly about how good his game is.
Probably more, but I'll be nice.
All is wrong.
1. There are many players online (NPC cities are completely full)
2. No it isn't. If you didn't try the game, shut your mouth - which you should maybe do more often
3: The game is pretty good, but there is still plenty to be improved - like all other newly released games
They are working on the game, and when it gets further in the process, it will be released on more servers, and eventually it will have open sales.
If you don't believe this, then don't. I don't really care.
I was in the beta test, the game is shit. It has almost nothing that was part of the "feature" list.
Player skill PvP? Nope, its all about macroing and potions.
Amazing AI for the PvE mobs? Nope, the few PvE mobs in game are dumb as hell.
Player choice? Nope, you have to train a bunch of skills you may or may not want to get to the stuff you want. that is not player choice.
The game is a joke, it is a piece of crap and all of you that pay to play this piece of crap are what is wrong with the MMO genre. Players are willing to pay for a company to finish the game.... Its beyond stupid.
Do not tell me I do know what I am talking about, I used to defend this game, I used to think that Darkfall was going to be the next great MMO but after my time in game, I will never spend a dollar on this game. It is a broken, hack fest, no skill PvP game. (Marco's are cheating and almost everyone that has a high skill level afk macro's)
I have tremendous respect for Tdog. That's correct. Even though on many occasions we butted heads, he has integrity and honor. A man that's not embarrased to change his mind if the situation calls for it.
I believe we can take Tdog's word on this subject. He at one time was a HUGE Darkfall fan.
The game may be fun for some, but that doesn't necessarily make it a quality product. It's really sub par.
A review like this is a perfect example of why I much more value the opinions of bloggers who actively play the game rather than some professional video game reviewer with piles of games to play and deadlines to meet. It is also why people who Don't play Darkfall and continually talk trash on it are of the same breed as these reviewers. I've been playing this game now since it came out and have had been having an amazing time. It's like WW 2 online meets and MMO.

What a refreshing and nice argument that is, due to the fact he supplied you with EXACTLY what you asked for, except that it wasn't purely rabid Darkfall fankiddie support.

You basically stated you prefer the opinions of bloggers, and he gave you a link to a blogger. How is that "QQing" and what does that have to do with whether or not he has played the game? The blogger stated positives and negatives in his review, so what is the problem, and how is giving you what you prefer starting a link war?
because there are positive blogs on this game as well. Good or bad I repsect a bloggers point of view on a game more than some big videogame website. Bloodworth was just doing what he usually does in an attempt to start a fight.

Okay, but the entirety of the blog wasn't negative, the blogger states he is still a fan of the game, but wants to see improvements, yet those improvements aren't being met in his estimation. Does that mean he is bashing the game, or sees some issues that need to be addressed? I read an account of someone who started out liking the game, yet over time, had issues wear him down, and yet while he posts more and more about the issues, and feels the game is a swing and a miss, I don't get the feeling he wants the game to fail. So is this an entirely negative blog, or is it one from a fan that sees issues, and feels the game isn't living up to what it could be with these issues still in place?
As BW and starting a fight, won't comment there, because I am not going to pretend to understand his motives, I have a test I need to study for=)

I don't see how he can think any review can drive players away more than... not letting them buy the game. did the review cover that part? where they don't let you buy the game. they don't need to say "avoid this game" they can say "try really hard to buy the game, you don't have to worry"
Hehe, is it still like that ?
So the game is still not live then

oh yea. The ame is fun as hell, but it isn't perfect. Wow, I got a block from Rasputin who can't even take the time to argue, but just blocks. That is funny. Funny thing is, while I have seen enough to form my own thoughts, and while they may not be favorable, I don't necessarily want to see the game fail. When I flame, it is usually uber fanbois, or over the actions of the company and the developers. I rarely if ever attack the game directly.
Heh, blocking is the action of the weak and defeated. Just sad. Someone tell cupcake I said hi=)

Iiii-iiiiiit's.... me!!! *Hooray*
Here you go then.

Have you Played Darkfall Mr. Bloodworth because for all the QQing you do you should put your money where your mouth is. I could care less about any loink you put up. For every negative thing abut Darkfall there is a positive thing as well so without starting an internet link war. STFU and try the game. Thankyou
Show me the QQ.

The sequence of posts before this one reads:
Vince_G: I prefer blog reviews
Mrbloodworth: here you go then - says the same sort of thing
Vince_G: WaaaaaaahWaaaahMuuuuuumy.
Grow up Vince.

I will block each person only out to flame DF, and not interested in anything but see it's failure.
You say that, but we know now that you don't block really. You have too much interest (and dare I say it - respect) in other people's opinions.
Just looked, not seeing it. Want to show me the QQ.

Hehe, is it still like that ?
So the game is still not live then

oh yea. The ame is fun as hell, but it isn't perfect. I'd like to see boats have a bigger part of the game and even the ability to have a hamlet as a boat or something so you could be totally at sea all the time. I'd like to see the grind of magic decrease, crossbows added.. Bloggers are a great way to get info on games good or bad impressions.

LOL
Wow, I got a block from Rasputin who can't even take the time to argue, but just blocks. That is funny. Funny thing is, while I have seen enough to form my own thoughts, and while they may not be favorable, I don't necessarily want to see the game fail. When I flame, it is usually uber fanbois, or over the actions of the company and the developers. I rarely if ever attack the game directly.
Heh, blocking is the action of the weak and defeated. Just sad. Someone tell cupcake I said hi=)
If Rasputin keeps blocking everyone he fails to argue with he is gonna soon have more blocks than Tetris has

I agree on the bit about bloggers. The rest, haven't played, but glad you are enjoying it.
Heh, soon he'll be able to look into a thread and see nothing but his own posts. Must be a dream come true for him=)
