  • They are not dying. The cashgrab casual market's focuss is shiftting from mmorpg to mmo. Maybe this is for the better, so mmorpg will get smaller, made by the fans for the fans and back to its roots.
  • I like your enthousiasm Lobotomist, but for me this game is to asian for my taste. I do not like the setting at all.
  • Best: I have to agree on the community in GW2 beta. Will it change at release? probably. Worst: while technicly not an mmo. Its listed in the game forums. League of legends.... Communities do not come worse then this.
  • You did not discribe what "massive" means to you in numbers.   I disagree with your opinion. Why? because no one can tell if such a crowd is there or not right now. For once there has not been a AAA quality sandbox mmorpg yet.   Example world …
  • I believe it happens because, you no longer play with each other, but compete with each other. Either pvp to gain ranks and rewards before anyone else and gain an edge, endgame raiding to show off phat l00t before everyone else got it, to manufact…
  • Have to disagree with TC. I do have a different take on the whole battlegrounds and why it destroyed pvp for me.   The several servers in one battlegroup that wow introduced. Battlegrounds currently feels like it has no meaning. Joining ever…
  • F2P hmmm it is always the same deal where they take away something everyone normaly gets a fair shot at in a P2P game. For instance exprate, droprate, stat enhancing potions, weapons or even fluff items.   Fluff items? Well yes if I want to co…
  • So i found a store with DC universe online for a decent price and put it in my shopping basket. On checkout I decided to check payment options just to be sure.   Surprising the only payment options are CC and those prepaid cards. What no pay…
  • The market is there. Guess they do not want profits from potential European customers.   I gave DFO a try through AOL. Fun but I was unable to group that way. Still waiting for a European release or lifting the ip block.
  • I do not often play a pure DPS class, but when I do I do not feel guilty.   I prefer the system Diablo 2 had.. healing and replenishing mana by drinking potions. With those 2 needs out of the way everyone could DPS. It worked fine in that game…
  • That would have to be the community behaving like 12 y/o bullies and when I play an MMORPG in English and I see people talking different languages.
  •   I would like to give the game a try. Is there anyone with a spare buddy / invite key?   Oh come on.. you know you want some backup when the cars start flying in the streets.
  •   I enjoyed reading these. Keep it up.
  • Devs selling gold are one and the same problem to me as goldsellers , because they both increase inflation and the result is we (the players that play the game as intended) have to grind/harvest longer for the same item we want to buy on the auction…
  • Your talking about goldsellers ruining an ingame economy , yet you think players buying gold in an item shop is ok. There can not be a balanced ingame economy if outside real money creates money out of no where, when someone pays in the itemshop f…
  • I want a game to be all in with the box price. That includes fluff too. Example. Why would anyone want to pay for a silly balloon hat you might wonder? Well then I think. Why can't i just find / loot / questreward / player made or buy the same hat f…
  • It will loose immersion and the word massive no longer applies. What? I have to hope I run into someone that joined one of the 15 identical instanced zones? While he could be standing at the next tree or roadsign ready to go on an adventure with me.…

  • Originally posted by championsFan It reminds me of the great North American Video Game crash of 1983.  Atari got greedy, much, much greedier than any companies that exist now.  For example, they produced the game "E.T. The Extraterrestrial" in ab…
  • In a way I am agreeing with the OP, yet I agree more with the title itself.   Suits want money and do not care how that is generated. Gamers want quality entertainment. Problem is that there are to many consumers that buy the games we call lac…
