Apparently people who ordered through Amazon got buddy keys, at least that's what I gathered from various forums.

Other than the delayed server opening, my experience has been relatively smooth. Activated and patched the game on Monday, jumped right in when the server opened, and was able to get the name I wanted, so I'm pleased with how it all turned out.
