I would recommend trying Project Gorgon. It has an old school feel to it. You don't level your character, rather you level in skills....and their are dozens of them.
It's bit sandboxy and a bit grindy, but it's a fun grind.
It's in alpha and fre…

You should try Project Gorgon. It's only in alpha stage atm, but you can play for free. It has an open world, skill based leveling system with an emphasis on exploration and discovery. You gain skill in scores of areas including cheese making, b…
I failed to mention....
ESO also has tons of lore....bookshelves and desks often contain books of lore and information that just by looking at them, can sometimes increase a skill...ie, open a book on alchemy and you gain skill in alchemy. Regardle…
I would recommend Elder Scrolls online.
Massive world, tons of quests with variety and quality voice acting, beautiful graphics and no gold spammers.
The UI is different than what you are probably used to ...though. It's very minimal, but you can …
Thanks again for input
I went ahead and paid the extra $$ for the " official " version.
I just didn't feel comfortable buying the Uk version....plus the purchase page seemed a bit cheesy.
I wonder...
How can they offer the game over 50% off the asking price of the official site?
What's the catch?
Anyone have personal experience downloading the game from this site?
I appreciate the feedback.
The website seems sketchy...why would mmorpg.com link to it though?
I'm leaning towards paying the extra $$ and purchasing the game from the official website ..
anyone else have some input, ideas, smart remarks?

This game is a chore, a job, it's work...I was greatly disappointed. After reaching lv 43, I couldn't take it anymore. With 20 days left on my patron status, I quit playing.

I was looking forward to playing AA...paid $50 to play early even.
I loved the idea of multi classing and open world land ownership.
Well...the multi classing is very limited and the open world land ownership is well.....a clusterfuck.

I personally think that they should kick the F2P player who is online for the longest time when a patron …
I agree, too many afk in game.
I think a big part of the problem is the fact that nobody wants to log out and wait in queue again, which cause longer queues, which makes people go afk instead of logging out and the circle continues.
Lets see...if you pay for a month and play 100 hours...25 hrs a week, which is pretty average.
That's about 10 cents an hour, one hell of a value no matter which way you cut it.
That's cheaper than movies and a popcorn.

I played Horizons at launch and it was the worst launch in mmo history. Horizons was a game launched by Atari in 2005,...I think, maybe it was 2006..i forget exactly.

I played with open world housing in Horizons for over 3 years and I have to tell ya...it's a lot of fun once the servers settle down. It creates a real estate market and it's fun to watch the neighborhoods grow and change. It adds a nice, dynamic el…

well...it took me an hour to get in game, as a silver founder, patron status.
My son decided to pay a sub tonight, but it didn't help his queue time. He is over 3k out.
