bump....from someone with the same problem. i even went so far as uninstall everything and used my discs to reinstall it today. still same thing, gets to the "searching for allies" then authentication failed error

i also voted EQ2, not b/c it is at a top of my lists too get, BUT b/c you asked about which will have larger fan base. EQ1 had a huge fan base, no reason too think EQ2 won't have the same peeps and gain some with the upgrades in EQ2

yep, i resigned up too give ac2 a try again. played at the beginning and didn't make it outta the 30 day free stage way back when, but read a lot of good posts about giving it a try too see. so far it is fun

i enjoy CoH, but gonna be tough for it too compete with WoW and especially with EQ2. 2 weeks ago i swore i would never play CoH and here i am.lol. been alot of fun, BUT, i can see the get old factor in a month or 2.
