Have you been reading the AoC forum? I never thought things would look so bad for that game. I bet this has a lot to do about WAR release being posponed, they knew they were safe making this move.
It's looking very good for WAR, the more I look at it, the more I feel WAR will be a huge succes, I mean by the milions, maybe a few milions but that's a lot, maybe really hurting WOW if it is good enough. Sadly by good I mean appealing to the masses, this is the only fear I have.
EDIT: I changed the title, since it's not clear anymore that it's really going that bad.

AoC isn't dropping like anything, most people that enjoy the game... the majority, are off playing it instead of posting on forums... You better beleive WAR is going to have just as many if not more troll posts as AoC come an open beta.
WAR gets posts every day by AoC fanbois and haters we are used to it.... i ignore them or counter their claims with facts....people will enjoy AoC...people will enjoy WAR...its what ever .... however i have a feeling WAR will have a better Open Beta then AoC is having right now

LOL, that is total BS! The consensus on AoC is that is a fun game; but the open beta has some bugs and you need a decent pc to run it.
Plus I have seen MANY beta leaks saying that at least right now, AoC is way better than Warhammer.
Quit lying. Saying I have seen many beta leaks only says that you aren't in either beta and think that by saying "I have seen many beta leaks" makes your word credible and end all. How about some substance to your claims?
I have seen many beta leaks and WAR looks alot better than AoC. AoC looks like it plays like a console RPG. WAR looks fun, has depth, revolves around PvP, has more stlye and class, and will run on 90% of consumer's PC's and not 10% like AOC.
It should be hilarious when WAR comes out and the same exact thing happens with it also. Honestly, I'm going to laugh my ass off when people finally realize that it's not "DAoC 2" and it's just uncreative garbage. I'm not a fanboy at all. I was excited about AoC and WAR equally. Then.....ya.....sigh.....
But they did push it back, so who knows. Maybe they'll change the whole game or actually make the PvP good. Perhaps they'll change their extremely linear world. Only time will tell. =/
Edit: If WAR released around this time (like it was going to) it would have probably been the biggest disappointment of the year.
Edit 2 : And it's funny you say that the beta leaked videos for WAR look good Impaler. To me, and most others, it looked extremely bland, slow, and uncreative. It also looked just like WoW. (Yes, I know Warhammer came first, but it didn't as an MMO. So WAR would be the clone here).

I'm just saying after reading the AoC forum in MMORPG, I think the general consensus there is... just desinstall the demo and look somwhere else. So bad. Even former enthusiasts are saying they are disappointed.
I can understand why some companies don't want open betas now, it's a double edged sword. But I do hope WAR has one, that will be a good sign, showing their confidence in their game.
This will be the normal trend fro new MMO's. People are looking for a game to replace life and when "hyped" game turns out to be just like an MMO, our addicition and thirst for that 1st high remains.
I have to agree with the others here there are alot of people that like AoC...and personally there's nothing wrong with a game appealing to the masses...just means there's more people to kill on the battlefield.

Who needs 10mio players? Do they make wow a better game? No. Is Blizzard using there earnings for content? No, other MMOs are increasing their content way faster. Can you play with 10mio players at the same time? No. All you get are mainstream jerks. No thanks.

How about using "I believe" or "In my opinion" or "I feel that..." using words such as probably and maybe make you sound nervous and lacking confidence in your statements. Not trying to bash you, just giving you tips on how to troll more effectively.
You realize most of the naysayers on the AoC forums are WAR or WoW fanboys that never wanted AoC to succeed? The preorder boxes are sold out all over the place and the game hasn't launched yet. Why you see AoC as a threat, I don't understand. People will choose their game based on what they enjoy....fluid combat -> AoC, Realtime RPG combat -> WAR.
Its better than walking around a giant massive world and rarely seeing anyone *coughs vanguard & everquest 2*
WAR is being made for lots of people its designed aroudn the idea of there being LOTS of people..have you seen the images of the Fortresses at Tier 4? how the hell do you siege that if you have only 50 people? You don't thats what. You need a couple hundred to take something that huge.
Look I don't want WoW style millions but I'll gladly take 500k over the piddly 200k or less that EQ2 and Vanguard have.
AoC & WAR are made for different types of play...its perfectly reasonable that they can both do incredibly well but the fact of the matter is ... like EQ2..AoC requires alot more hardware ... which is already a limiting factor on numbers.

But I meant WAR making about 2-3 milion subscribers, if they go to Asian market too. Will they? I don't know..

What a horrible attempt at dodging the point, but that's fine, you only prove your ignorance more by doing so. And actually, I did mention a little something about AoC, might want to read again.
Anyways, since AoC is releasing this early and since it is not as great as everyone would have liked it to be, it does give WAR a chance to take over later this year. Whether it will or not, (I believe it won't), only their changes and their hard work on WAR will tell.

Plus some of them are pepole with legit problems due to their hardware.
Its this misconception that has both sides fighting each other its completely stupid that the moment someone flames or says something you don't like you automatically accuse him of being a fanboy of another game. Everyone here knows altairqz isn't a fanboy of WAR he's been a naysayer since the beginning he's mostly posting his current opinion on the situation.

Heh. I wouldn't worry about the masses. All AoC is is a small taste of what's to come for WAR. Besides they are releasing around the time wrath expansion comes out for wow. Big nail in the coffin. It's unfortunate I know, but playing the AoC beta made me fall in love with wow all over again. Aint that a beotch.

Every Game in the past that had a statement like this made ended up failing big time. Guess it was only a matter of time before it happened.

I have a e6600, w/4 gig of ram, Vista 64 w/sp1 and dual 8800 GTX's in SLI using current drivers and the game runs like a dog even on lowest settings. Don't tell me "you just need a decent pc to run it." because my PC is at least decent.
I don't want AoC to fail, I pre-ordered so make of that what you will.

There's issues with SLI. Try with one card. I run it quite smoothly on HIGH with a 4 ghz e8400 and a 8800GT.
Average 35 fps. If I remove environmental shadows, its 50+ fps.
I dunno, when both games started dropping info about direction and content...I was a big Conan fan. At first, I was among the many that felt that WAR would probably feel too much like WoW, and that they weren't taking strides to divide themselves from the norm. AoC's videos and information all revolved around bloody battles and sieges! Sounded good to me, really.
Then I come to find out that the PvP will be divided amongst 'battlegrounds' and sieges...and that the devs think that Raid gear SHOULD be the best gear. Hell...I've heard that junk before. Turns out, from a direction perspective, AoC is turning out to be more like WoW than WAR. Now, I've turned my eyes to WAR...whom have a more PvP focused direction with the RvR and whom have better speakers in general. Just looking at the people speaking for them...they seem to have ZERO thoughts that the game will be bad. They have full faith in it.
Bottom line is, I missed out on DAoC. WoW taught me that I LIKE PvP a ton more than PvE. WAR is going to offer me that ability to level from PvP...AND offer up nice RvR stuff as well. Its also not going to FORCE PvP down my throat like so many FFA games do...and its not going to punish me for not being among the first to play the game like those games do either. So, even if WAR does play like WoW...I can accept that. I can even enjoy that. All I really wanted was a game that took what WoW did right, and give me all of the elements Blizzard refused to. From all I can see, WAR is gonna be that game...and I won't even have to drop a thousand dollars on a new system to partake of it.
So, unless they bomb BAD...and I mean BAD BAD....I'm a new WAR junkie, and a part of me is sad for that.
