As a single player rpg i give it a 10...as a suposed MMORPG ( M for massive, M for multiplayer ) i give it a 5..., no loadings, no instancing and a vanguard world would make this game a good mmo...

I'm running into an increasing number of broken quests, group bugs, npc agro bugs, multiple instances and group tracking, and generally broken stuff as I'm leveling up. I'm 36 now. from a bugginess level this game is starting to approach vanguard at release so it's that bad...
Also the harvesting system is really poorly designed with static nodes that are hard to find and once you do people just run around and constantly deplete them. Harvesting for the 2nd tier is for a rare that drops 1 time in 100 or less? I've got 119 wood and not one rare.
When I get to crafting my rating my drop even more...

My comp is 2.5 years old with a dual core processor pentium D 2.8 GHz, 2 gb ram, windows xp, 8800 gts and I can't get hte game to run higher than 15 fps, if I'm lucky, in the big cities. field of the dead made me want to uninstall the game.
I tried everything, from disabling shadows, etc and I can't get the game to run smoothly except in instances where i'm by myself. As the world gets more crowded, performance gets worse.
This game is not optimized very well. People should be able to get smoothe frame rates at low settings. There doesn't feel like there's any in between. you either can handle the settings and run everything max or you can't even on low settings.
Very frustrating. It's playable but I feel like I wasted money upgrading my vid card. If you computer is older than a year or year and a half old, this game will not run like you'd like.

1) yes, bugs, not that many of the critical ones but still a fair amount of it (most notable graphic glitches like white tree-textures, other graphical glitches)
2) Well, if you didnt see anyone complain then you must be blind then. People complain about instances ALL the time. People complain about NOT having instances just as much. Personally, I havent really noticed that much instancing yet, but i havent gotten far yet, so that may change in time.
3) " a bit of a gank at lower levels" is all that it takes for someone (myself included) to leave the game. The should be no ganking at all at any point of your gameplay. Period.
4) Combat is NOTHING different then any other generic MMO. Even WoW. Yeah sure, WoW has autoattack, with occasional skills. AoC has no autoattack bu the fact that it doesnt have one means Im constantly and frantically mash one of the 3 direction ( at later levels 5 direction) buttons non-stop. Is that better for you? After trying AoC's "superior" combat, id prefer auto-attack with occasional button mashing for those timed/positional special skills.

For the record, I scored AoC a 4 - its way overhyped, it doesnt have anything revolutionary (at lower levels anyway) and NO, im not gonna spend half of my life getting to higher levels just to experience that revolutionary content. In my book, if something doesnt grab my attention right off the start, its not worth of trying. I already have one work that pays, dont need another that doesnt only pay, but actually cost me.

I'm sorry - but all the hype about the graphics in this game are complete crap. Some things look good, but many things look bad. Watch a crocodile run towards you when you take the rowboat to the island. It looks like it's sliding and trying to run at the same time. Doesn't look natural or good at all. The physics are kind of crappy, but the motion capture of the characters is OK. Except the fact that every time my guy jumps, it looks like he's trying out for the olympic hurdle team.
1. severe multiplayer limitations (only 48 people per zone) 2. Bad Community 3. Bad implementation of PvP without rewards and punishments 4. little armor customization 5. smaller than average zones with non functinal backgrounds 6. Some classes are in dire need of repair (taunt is next to useless for tanks) 7. Exploitable system (traders turned off because two days before official release a guild figured out how to dupe money on the system...not a good sign) 8. UI is very poor. Huge icons, clumsy hotbars, small hotbars, huge windows (this has been fixed by 3rd party UI Modders) 9. Chat system is very poor 10. Guild operations very poor. Currently you cannot promote anyone. Its easy to get kicked out of a Guild (there is a chance if you crash, you get kicked from the guild. If this happens to the leader then the guild is screwed since there isnt a promotion system in the guild or an automatic promotion whenever the leader leaves) 11. Starting area restricts you to a very linear approach to questing for the first 25% of your total character progression. 12. Fatalities is flawed. If you are fighting multiple mobs and you do a fatality on the first person, the other mobs will get free swings at you because you are doing a cinematic move. 13. Limited harvest areas for those who harvests things post lvl 20 14. Having to wait until lvl 40 to craft. 15. Siege warfare is flawed when you can only have 48 people in a zone.
wow, sounds like you're lvl 80. so how long did it take you to level to 80, complete endgame, compete in pvp minigames, siege a keep, build a city, join a guild, oh and.. explore and experience everything the game has to offer? because it sure sounds like you've done all that.

That's specific to your computer, I run AoC on low/disabled settings with AAx2 ASFx1 shader 2.x, I've never seen happen what you're talking about, my buddy has a powerhouse machine and runs it on 1600 resolution with everythnig maxed, and he also never sees what you are describing

had the beta for a while, had terrible bugs ... ie could only play for about 10 mins at a time before I would get the BSoD and a reboot.
In the end I had so many problems after downloading that the computer would not power up at all. So when I reformatted I decided not to reinstall.
My desktop that I use for games is fairly reasonable middle of the road for most games and normally plays everything reasonably well.
Intel core2 duo 1.8 ghz
2gb RAM
nVidia 7900 gtx (only 1, not SLI)
