I think a lot of folks (myself included) doubt that the shirts even exist. There is a massive amount of skepticism about everything related to this game. If you are unable to obtain something as simple as Tshirts by the end of the week it's a pretty clear sign that the game is in as much trouble as ever. Because of all the tasks ahead, simply getting Tshirts which are supposedly already created, into the mail in a week will be the simplest.
Goals and blanket statements without dates are meaningless.
You realize we've owned the IP for less than one 24hr day, right? It'd be absolutely irresponsible of us to make any time-based goals without concluding the discussions with ancillary parties that we needed the GM IP to be able to continue. We're very careful not to over-promise, or under-deliver, so your quest for dates is to me a bit premature.
After all, would you rather have an honest person telling that they'll let you know when, and that they're on it, or dishonest person to give you another fictitious date to placate you?
You realize we are talking about Tshirts that are supposed to be created and sitting waiting to be mailed right?
You realize that the likelihood you actually receive them from Jason decreases exponentially each day right?
You realize that apparently not having set a date with Jason for receipt seems like an obvious error right?
You realize that there is a HUGE credibility issue with anyone associated with this game right?
This isn't asking for an ETA on some massively complex design issue. It's driving to Appleton's house (as I believe he lives close to at least one of you) and picking up the shirts. In lieu of that it would involve something as complex as having UPS show up at his house to collect the boxes and have them delivered to your "office" 2 days later. As I said, this is the SIMPLEST deliverable you will have. This doesn't require complex Project Management skills, a Six Sigma Black belt, or an engineering degree.
If you have assumed liability for this (as per prior statements) it's incumbent upon YOU to get these out in the mail. Trust is earned. My suspicion is that there ARE no shirts... or if any were made it was a handful for personal use.

Well, I'm in Boise, Idaho, so it's definitely not driving distance from me. Not sure Portland, Maine is close to Kentucky either (being a *small* 16hr drive)... :-/
I'm the one who's financing the shirts to be mailed. To be honest, peoples' opinions of myself, or of James or MMOI/GM are not my primary concern. My concern is moving forward, and getting rewards to pledges. I can talk until I'm blue in the face, but it doesn't make the t-shirts get here any faster, or the game get developed. Also, if shirts *don't* arrive, then that will be a discussion that we have with Jason, as he is obligated to provide them (as we have it in writing).
We're never going to win *everybody* over, and we understood that taking this over. Again, as long as we fulfill our commitment to getting a product out, then I can rest easy knowing that I did my job. Whether or not it's well-received, that will have to remain to be seen in due time.
Again, I respect your caution, but at least give us the time to secure the product for delivery, rather than have conjecture being put out. This is literally the first mail day since the deal, so even if he sent it out today, it wouldn't arrive to me until later this week.

You are assuming that Appleton actually has them. Do you really think Appleton allowed cases of t-shirts to sit in his garage for a year or two? My guess is that Appleton will not be delivering them this week as he does not have them. Then we will get some story about them being destroyed in a flood or that gypsies came though and stole them, LOL.

Well, if that did come to pass, it would be very unfortunate, as it was a stipulation of our contract. If that were to happen, we would be JUST as upset as you would be. Even if no shirts existed in reality, we would be attempting to make good via other means (such as a few of these funding deals we're vetting). I can't possibly do anything, however, until they come (or don't). I'm stuck in a holding pattern at this point, but will communicate as SOON as information comes my way. ;-)
Also, if shirts *don't* arrive, then that will be a discussion that we have with Jason, as he is obligated to provide them (as we have it in writing).
WHEN?
If you actually signed a contract stating he would turn this over (along with other assets) there should have been a date associated with it. if there wasn't it would raise a HUGE red flag about this "document"
I sign contracts all the time. Each and every one lists deliverables AND DATES.
I'm just going to be blunt here and state that I think you guys are being played for patsies by this guy who seems much more streetwise and able to "play the game". My suspicion is that you are enabling him to sneak out the back door (not intentionally) and escape any and all repercussions for his actions.
Edit: This is the first thing that came to mind when I heard about this deal

Without specifically referencing the contract, there is ZERO transfer of KS culpability as it relates to prior decisions, and monetary allocations. Also, in the most basic sense, there is *no* grounds for litigation in regards to Kickstarter. People took a gamble on it, and even if nobody ever provided anything, there's no legal recourse. Now, we obviously aren't 'skating' the issue, and we'd *never* just abandon our promises to the KS backers, but I'm not at all worried about any litigation moving forward. James and I, and MMOI by extension, are fully indemnified against those types of cases.

OK.. progress. So if that is actually the case then lets say no later than April 17th you should be posting stating that you have them in your hands (and there should be 250 of them or so). I look forward to that post but I certainly will not be holding my breath.
Edit:
Also- I assume that you have already received the backer list and this will not be a bottleneck for delivery of the shirts correct?

James has taken receipt of the list, and we are going to be cross-referencing those that have received their shirts, so that people who haven't received them are the ones that get them.

The Kardashians came around and looted Jasons Garage? This sounds like a front page story to me!
On a more serious note to James and whoever this other person is: DON'T TAKE THIS DEAL! GET THE HELL OUT WHILE YOU CAN!
This whole Project is a cesspool of negative press and experiences. The name alone has so much negative connotation you might as well try to sell a chocolate bar called: "Shit Brick"

Make a Kickstarter and I bet 'shit brick' would probably make you really rich. Make it with real animal shit and backers would still defend it.

James and I aren't afraid of bad press. We've dealt with this stuff before, and it's to be expected. The main sticking points for people has been the lack of any real progress or anything tangible, like the shirts. In time, we will be able to demonstrate that things are different, and that every attempt is being made to right the ship. In that sense, we'll either succeed by changing peoples' minds about this IP, or we'll fail, and we can at least say we did everything in our power to try and honor these backers.

Jason "Forgot" to send the T-Shirts to us last week. I spoke to him today and he's sent them out to Joel today. He sent us the shipping receipt so we know they were sent. Joel should have them Saturday.
Ive been in contact with james since this all went down and this morning at around 10am est or so we were talking about these infamous T-shirts and how I dont think they exist since jason keeps 'forgetting to send them or is too busy... Well, shockingly Jason finally sent them this morning and I saw a picture of the manifest showing they were shipped this very morning.
I'm not going to lie for anyone. Period.
I think there were no shirts and thats what the holdup was (time to make the shirts to be in compliance with the agreement) but James is telling the truth.
For whatever its worth- James and Joel have been trying to get these shirts since day 1 and the holdup was not on their end. Regardless, they were sent this morning so James and Joel should have them within a week or so and then its on them to make good, right now they are doing everything in their power to right things.

We do in fact have them. They are in decent enough. The shipping labels were printed out backwards so Joel will need to print out new shipping labels but that's easy enough to do.

Complain will be registered by the sender, Jason.
Postal office will investigate.
Postal office will come to a conclusion.
Postal office will either refund the shipment through insurance, or say they are still investigating.
