I must say I disagree. I've seen people criticize DS3 for being too similar to other Souls elsewhere and to me, it just doesn't feel like it. It uses the same formula, but I think it improves on the formula in several important ways. Weapon skills, …

I know right! Why would you get random values when you leve.....what? D&D has been doing this since forever? Carry on then!
D&D has one of the most imbalanced character development systems out there. Also, newer edition…
Personally, I was interested in this until I saw the cash shop. I imagine they got a lot of bad publicity from it, as most of the Black Desert discussions I've seen on non-MMO sites have been about the prices. I suppose time will tell if it was a wi…

First of all, sorry for my ignorance, the acronym bugs the hell out of me. WTF is a TTK when you never even introduced it and used it like everybody knows it.
Time to kill.

These people used to know how to give players a great stream of content at an amazing value. Now they release half of an expansion and scrap entire promised features.
On a related note, this post Mike made recently stands out…
I think the biggest issue here is the breach of trust and borderline false advertising. The new precursors - an entire set of them - were listed as HoT's features. Some people bought HoT because of that. I don't care about Legendaries, but what's ne…
Even if we set morality aside, how could one trust these developers when they can't even make their own art style? It doesn't have to be as cool as Don't Starve's is, but even something basic would be better than this. Since they're clearly morally …
This actually looks really cool and unique, although I don't believe Trion will be able to pull it off. Success would require a team of talented PvP designers and no seedy monetization. Neither is exactly Trion's forte.
It's a decent number, but TERA - a moderately successful game - boasted 20 mil users just a while ago. Now if you look it up on Steamspy it has around 80-90K active players. Registered accounts are easy to come by for a F2P title.
I'll be sure to check this out, but I'm a bit skeptical after Pillars of Eternity, which tried to copy IE games in all the wrong ways in my opinion. At least this'll be turn-based, so it won't annoy me with horrible micromanagement and constant paus…
If something is too easy even by MMO standards, it's probably way too easy for me. It would be nice to get an ARPG that doesn't assume you're a complete idiot for a change.
The real problem with this topic is jumping to conclusions and putting words in others' mouths. For instance, when people criticize typical MMO questing, it doesn't mean they hate all questing in general. I, for one, love doing fun, well-written, va…
You're sort of right, but I think fixing the underlying problem of healers and tanks being boring to play in leveling content is the most important issue. There wouldn't be a deficiency of healers or tanks if those classes were just as fun to level …
All of this sounds really bad to me. Granted, I'm probably not in the expansion's target audience, but I've got to wonder if swapping audiences like this will be good for ANet or GW2 in the long term. I used to be a pretty big fan of GW2, but to eve…
