But but but... They have 400,000 subscribers! How could you need server merges with 400,000 people playing??
I'm trying my best not to use the server mergers in any way to slam o…
A real shame Funcom is handling A Secret World. A non-Fantasy MMO is what the market needs, but I fear most players won't apply for beta and even less buy the game since it has a Funcom logo on it.
Somehow I think the OP means when Gaute Godager gives an interview in the future, blaming players for why AoC tanked and why he consequently had to leave Funcom (I seriously believe the other brass told him to leave).
Craig is already doing good stuff I see.
But IMO, if Funcom wants to be serious in getting people back then sacking Erling Ellingsen might be one way to go, no matter what great a guy he is. As someone said it in another thread, he's the very face…

Thanks for translating the article.
I hope Gaute does an interview or releases some kind of statement to tell his side of the story. I'll bet its very different to Ellingsens spin.
Ofc. You think Mr.Godage…

Crap, someone please post this for me. I don't know the language.
"Gaute did the right thing and resigned, Erling. Now, when are you going to do the right thing and resign as well?"
If someone could ask that for me,…
If Funcom are listening to feedback, then maybe Ellingsen will get sacked too.
He might be a good chap for all I know, but he's become the very symbol of the worst aspects of Funcom & AoC
As someone said, for a founder to leave the company he created and game something must have been happening behind the curtains. IMO, I've never gotten the impression Mr.Godager has wished to leave.
But hey, maybe this is Funcom listening to its cu…
Sadly it is a Funcom product. It seems a bit interesting, but I'm not going to buy another Funcom product ever again. Or well at least until I get five persons to tell me TSW is good in RL face-to-face.
No significant content added (they've redone some stuff in 20-40 areas though), but for most it seems system performance has improved markedly (although memory leaks pop up more).

To funcom and AoC: You burnt me once, fooled me into a CE, I will never re-sub to AoC even if it were the last game made.
Funcom you have lost a customer for life. Ill never give you a chance to burn me again.

Good review.
What I find strange is that Funcom clearly didn't say what type of game AoC was. Erling Ellingsen said it was a PvE game and then followed up saying it was a surprise most players played on PvP servers...I couldn't believe that...beca…

good point...telling players to "get lost" or "go back to wow" when they voice valid concerns is probably not a good way to revive the community. i remember getting the old "go back to wow carebear" line when i mention…
If you like AoC good for you, its your (or your daddy's) money.
But if you want people to play with you, I think the official AoC forums will be more responsive.
Good news for those who still subscribe, now they have something to look forward to.
I myself though will never touch a Funcom product again until I have at least 10 people telling me face-to-face that a Funcom product is good.
I will honestly say the graphics are very well made. I wish I could say the same about content & PvP. Graphics weren't that big of an issue to me. As for expansion, I won't say a thing, except I'm not buying a Funcom product again.

Funcoms next mmo will not be created using the AO engine afaik. Keep your eyes open for more info on that. But in my estimate, Funcom will crash before they can release another title....
