Well I give up. The man lied then spun a bunch of more lies to cover it up. And only people who take the time to think about the lies will actually see they are in fact lies. Its what he has been doing since the first day. Reminds me of the biggest pvp guild EP in ESO right now. The leader lies to everyone and fills up the ranks with tons of players. It is successful but at the same time the leader himself is just a joke who keeps lying and scamming everyone.
Let me guess ... that PvP guild leader in ESO just kicked you out of that guild ;-)
Damn liar he is .... and even successful .....biggest PvP guild ... how dare he ....

No actually I have him on ignore to prevent his spam invites to his party. But thats an entirely different story but with same kind of leader. Its like the Kirby Vacuum cleaner salesman. That company cons their own employees who in turn try to con the general public without even realizing they are conning everyone. Goto one of them advertisements in the local newspaper about making 1k$ a week from home. You will quickly be sucked into a con or realize hey these people are trying to con me.

It's Bcbully...
lol... no he's a good guy. I believe he's in the DC not the EP.
That said, I'm not really surprised a bunch of detractors use this "public missed delivery" as some kind of evidence CIG are liars and thieves.
It's not about SM at all anymore, i don't believe for a second the people who obsess with this actually care about SM that much. It's about keeping the drama-llama going really.
Star Marine will release and on forums like this some people will be on the same loop about why didn't it release during 2015, because the real point was never to play SM! O.o

Of course not. I doubt most care if Star Citizen is ever released.
They just stare themselves blind on the size of the project and the bold nature of the vision - and their minds can't possibly entertain there's a genuine desire to create a game.
I honestly don't think they can see beyond the scam/conspiracy angle - and they'll use anything to support that's what's going on.
What's actually happening and what's actually being said is dismissed - because it doesn't fit their concept of "the big scam" and "the mindless sheep" supporting it.
It's such a compelling narrative for conspiracy fanatics and those who've watched too much X-Files
Funny how you have to post a far left loon site. Plz lets leave politics off gaming sites.
Sometimes it's not always about what you can see or hear but what's under the hood of a game that's most impressive. Between those thousands and thousands of lines of code, magic happens. Sometimes the most amazing feats of gaming wizardry happen without you even noticing.

The only people who are responsible for the drama are....
1) The company who continually made/makes promises and their track record of starting from scratch and missed dates
2) The fanatic fans who were everywhere hyping the game and now have become apologists for all the missed dates and scrapped development.

It's got nothing to do with politics unless that's something you're looking for. It's about one person that talks a load of bull and another person that talks a load of bull, the topic those people represent is irrelevant in this case.

They don't apologize. They don't even admit something was done wrong. All they do is defend it and claim nothing was out of place.

I do admit something was done wrong, something has clearly been done wrong for the situation that happened did indeed happen.
Now that overall backers are tired of people like you, with this fanatic obsession over this specific topic and pointless discussions that are always based on speculation... I don't blame them, i'm tired myself.
This is just 1 more, of a million discussions about the exact same thing, on the exact same loop. So yeah i'd call the people that continue to push this drama, of fanatics.
Will you keep creating threads about SM not having released on 2015, until the day you die? Darn i got over my father dying in less time than you with delays of a video-game!

Thats the thing I dont see any fans of this game, just defenders of it, and then its only the 4 or 5 usual suspects on this site.
I watch Twitch everyday and I obviously check out what games are getting a lot of views and a lot of people playing them. While it isnt all that scientific it does give a general idea of what games are strong and what games are not. Obviously new games get hype as well as game with new updates or games with strong Rp populations. SC has never had more than probably 40 streamers and 1K or so viewers. And those numbers were from a long long long time ago when the test bed demo first went live. The hype immediately gies when people saw what it was. It has been dead since (almost 2 years) Even with free weekends and fly free ships you havent bought or new updates that are 'groundbreaking' the number of streamers and viewers doesnt rise.
I know the excuse is that people are just waiting for the 'real' release. But that is BS because most games on twitch that get the most views are all early access pre alpha types (and have been for as long if not longer than SC has) and many of them are as bad or worse performance wise than SC.
So like I have always queried how can a game that has all this backing, support, and fans be so completely nonexistent on that medium?
Now of course Erillion or one of the others will post a youtube video with an aggregate of a million views over the past 4 years as some 'proof' I am wrong but anyone with half a brain will see that is just spin. They say numbers dont lie, and they dont when taken in the 'right' context. Problem is the supporters of the game are using numbers that are manipulated or an aggregate of years. While the TRUE numbers are ones that can be seen in real time at any point of a 24 hour day. Those real time numbers have an always will convey the CURRENT feelings or hype of a game not what people got caught up in months or even years ago.
If the game ever goes full live and full commercial release we will see. I imagine it will in fact have a lot of players, for the usual 3-6 weeks like every other game, and then once the P2W aspects become full blown and all the other stuff that will be wrong with the game (not necessarily exclusive to this one) people will go away in droves. Just like they have with every other game out there. It is just another game the only claim to fame it has now or ever will have is that it (allegedly) has raised or sold ship or had subscribers pay to the tune of nearly 120 million (so far). Which in the end will be the way this games success or failure will be judged. My money is on the negative obviously because no matter how little or much a game has to work with theyre all failures these days to most people.
Oh no! You discovered the big conspiracy! All the numbers are fake, we're just 10 guys that turns out all millionaires that created 1 million alt accounts to make it look SC is a popular game!

Yes yes, it's all a conspiracy full of liars and evil wizards. Only people who "understand the world" will agree with you
Just like the people who only understand game development know that SC is just fine right?
You can stand by your claim, but no one will take it seriously if you use bunk data to support it.
Yes i shall stand to it, i did it before, knowing and lurking the community, reddit, rsi's discord up to in-game, the same feelings of backers on this matter are overall the same as mine. It's just what it is.
So let's take seriously instead, random people saying random things on the internet! Well if it fits the bias, why the hell not?!
Hm, not really no. But hey see the bright side, the drama-llama must go on! Once SM releases we'll see what next is going to be the main fuel of the drama-llama train! Choo Choo?
Oh no! You discovered the big conspiracy! All the numbers are fake, we're just 10 guys that turns out all millionaires that created 1 million alt accounts to make it look SC is a popular game!
No I am just saying that the money raised or given isnt from people wanting to play the game. It is from people who invested in things they thought they could sell at a later time. we have already seen that come to fruition as time has passed. The 'grey market' in this game is incredible (and half the ships dont even exist yet let alone the game itself). My personal opinion is the game HAD a lot of interest a few years ago and they legitimately met their kickstarter number and a few stretch goals. Then as the hype generated and Roberts went off the reservation and the hype became uncontrollable a few people saw an opportunity to cash in. And all the so called "one and done' ship sales and models garnered alot of revenue (we have since seen that those ship sales werent one and done) and also the backlash (which lends credence to my opinion) from them selling ships they at one time said would be (semi) exclusive.
We have also seen a lot of talk about refunds, and when that wasnt working, charge backs. That seems to be the norm these days for games, but with the landscape of gaming it has to be expected I suppose. We also saw CiG completely change the wording of their ToS (meaningless) and a lot of other things that suggest that the 'fan base' isnt really a fan of the game, but simply the ability to use it to make money (the irony is palpable there).
Games that have people who WANT TO PLAY THEM (no matter how bad) have massive populations (at least for a little bit. Even little niche games that everyone knew werent going to be huge could garner 5 or 10K people. Even Fallen Earth had 15-20K for a few weeks and that game was garbage at launch. Within 3 months it had maybe 500 and now has maybe 100 or so 'regulars' with a few people checking it out for nostalgia. But we all know the cycle.
SC hasnt even been released and is in its 'best' phase (at least in current definition) as in the free to play and free updates phase. Which a lot of games have been in perpetually for as long or longer than SC has. ARK, DayZ, H1Z1, Rust,7 days to die, The Forest, Miscreated, Life is Feudal, The Repop (which in some ways is a good comparison to the excuses Rberts has made in regards to SC) and the list goes on and on. I would say ALL those games even the ones that were and are still garbage have more players than SC does. And none of those has never made any claims other than they were making a game they thought people would want to play, and if you combined the budgets and money made by all those games and multiplied it by 10 it still wouldnt come tot he figure SC boasts about every chance they (or their fans) get.
So thats what I go by. EVERY game has a rabid (misguided) fanbase. But SC for all the accolades has a pretty tepid one. Especially considering all the drama and 'controversy' surrounding it, along with all the other attacks made from people. As well as their own admissions. So while you and your deluded brethren here take up arms to defend it youre still in a very small company and all those games I mentioned above and other games before had many more (deluded) 'fans' and people defending them than this one. That is what I find so curious. I gave my opinion ans we will see I guess. But from what I can tell it just doesnt look like anyone really wants to play this 'game' because there is (as you have all stated ever chance you get) plenty of opportunity to do so. But no one does.
Wow, a wall of text about the Star Citizen fans and not about Star Citizen. Also on speculation about numbers you do NOT know about.
My own friends and people i know that i got to play the Free Flights with, most of them bought the game because they liked what they played some time after. It shows me the gap between what you SAY it is the reality, and i saw/see by myself happening.
I return the same insult you just made against me to you... ...go back your deluded hate group!

With everything I have read about this game, I have to say I agree 1000% with you on how the game is being represented. It really does seem like a very few people are keeping the hype on the game alive. In fact I believe if it wasn't for the few people on this site the game would actually be dead. Also that Smart guy is the one really keeping it alive which I think is hilarious.
Going to be interesting if this game does ever release.
