Thanks. I had a bit of long name for one character. No profane or cannon names. I don't care to make a carbon copy of Batman or whatever. One thing I liked about CoH is the "The" in the name could be added.
No crafting was actually a positive for me when CoH was released. I always get half to two-thirds through a craft then lose interest. I'm just not a crafter. The only game that came close to interesting me was VG and EQ2.
For me, it's new, and it's a superhero MMO, which is my favorite flavor of MMO. Also, MMOs are a safe bet for me on getting my money's worth out of them, even CO and STO.

Yea, the download from D2D is trivial. It just downloads the launcher, then the launcher connects and downloads DCUO from SoE, which went very fast for me considering the size.
